If not now . . . . .

Do any of you recall when we discussed my Two-by-Four theory?  We talked about how messages come through to us, constantly.  We just don’t always perceive them, or listen to them, or understand them.

When we actively do not heed those messages, our Team gathers together and smacks us with them.  Much like being hit in the head by a large piece of construction timber.  This forceful notification from the Universe means we REALLY need to be paying attention.

I got two of those in the past few days.  They were huge.  And I absolutely sat up, said Thank You, and (literally!) took notes.

             The first part is this:

take nothing for granted.

Not air, not water, not homes, not faimly, not the ability to get out of our own beds without assitance.

We have so much.  So very VERY much in this life.  Just being able to walk somewhere safely, to breathe deeply, to sleep peacefully … these things can so quickly be forgotten for the gifts that they are.

Our most basic needs are generally met.  On a daily basis.  And yet, we too often disregard how truly precious they are.

We are being reminded of how much we have.  We are also being reminded that, as this card shows, we can be grateful while still feeling positive and filled with lovingkindness.

take nothing for granted

“Following Your Bliss  ~

‘My soul sings with joy!’

Do what gives you joy.  Celebrate and have fun.  You do not need to suffer to grow – in fact, true happiness comes from following the dictates of your soul.

Take steps today to expand your joy, seek out your bliss.  You don’t need to do it all at once, but you do need to make a start.

The Universe wants you to know:

if you don’t follow you bliss now, when will you?  If you’ve been waiting to act until circumstances are different, or somehow better, you may have a long wait.

Some people put off following their north star until they graduate, get married, lose weight, have kids, or retire.  If you continue to do so, you may never attain genuine happiness.

Take steps today to experience the sweet nectar of life.

Questions to ask yourself:

What feeds my soul?  How can I follow my bliss?  How can I find my joy?  What is blocking me from living a life filled with happiness?

May soul sings with joy.”

is tell you that on days when I’m really feeling overwhelmed and at my absolute worst, deep breathing and an attitude of gratitude truly do help.  I know how bad things can get, believe me.  And I know how well something as seemingly simple as this sounds.  Honestly, when we help ourselves, we are helping everyone else.

Acknowledging the Attitude

I’m going to be quick and to the point.  I’ve been sick for a week.  Missed a few hours of the training (not anything important, though). Lost my voice!  (I know.)  Coughed until I nearly blacked out.  It’s not been my best series of days, let’s just go with that.

What I have gained from this experience is all rolled up in our message.  It’s about that old favorite, the Attitude of Gratitude.

Take nothing for granted.

Nothing.  No.  Thing.  Like air.  And the actual ability to breathe it on our own.  And clean water.  We have it!  For free!

Also, we are never alone.  We have our Tribe and out Team for support.  Always.  In any circumstance and under all conditions.

To express that gratitude and acknowledge that appreciation is paramount right now.  In fact, let’s all do it together.  Reach out, say thanks.  Give a smile.  Share a hug.  Donate something.

I’ll start.  Thank you, every single one of you.  For showing up, for staying with me.  And for sharing with others.

Not surprisingly, the draw on our altar takes us beyond validation, on to the next level of this message.

guardian angel

“Sweetness  ~  Guardian Angel

Your guardian angel is asking you to notice and enjoy the nectar of life. ‘You are sweet,’ your guardian angel says of you, ‘and I can help you feel that happiness and joy.’

If you’ve felt toughened by life experiences, your angel can help you lower your defenses . . . and still be safe, protected, and respected.

This is also a message for you to treat yourself with tender sweetness.  Give yourself rewards and be kind to yourself.  Are you pushing too hard with an ‘all work and no play’ approach to life?  Be a sweetheart to yourself, and take some leisure time to play and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Your guardian angel will also help you bring sweetness into your relationships in ways such as speaking with love, acting out of kindness, being generous, giving sincere compliments, and being thoughtful.

As you show this extra consideration for others, it’s sure to be returned to you plentifully.  The Universe and all the angels are helping you fall back in love with life and enjoy its rich sweetness.”

If it seems as though I harp on Self-Care so much, it’s because of how important this topic is.  For decades I not only wasn’t doing it, but I didn’t feel as if I was even worth any.  (I still have my doubts, it’s an on-going struggle.)

So we need to listen when get these reminders.  We all deserve it!

Actively Appreciating

As we learn about our Acceptance by acknowledging our blessings (and even, our mere existence), it’s being suggested right now that we also add in some gratitude.

The process of being thankful, participating in our lives with a conscious effort, is what I heard about this morning.  (With accompanying views which were both precise and yet symbolic.)

Take nothing for granted.

Some people aren’t completely clear on driving “privileges” in this country.  It’s a similar situation in how we live our life.

To get a driver’s license, we must pass tests and agree to participate within the rules.  Being a safe and legal driver is the end result.

Or, we can operate a motor vehicle without the required regulations and be subject to fines or incarceration.

In this adventure we call Life, we can participate lovingly, with care and concern, being responsible for our actions (and our re-actions), within certain perimeters of goodness and on-going study.

Or, we can be a selfish dick-head.  In which case, we then must face the repercussions that will (absolutely will) come around to set us straight when we leave this place and move on.

It’s all about our current state.  Are we being mindful and grateful?  Or are we driving along, “unlicensed,” complain-y, and disconnected?  We have that choice, we are allowed that privilege.

Standing at our card altar earlier, I was directed to flip this particular selection.  Because it seems as though, we need an inner kindness reminder, as well.

“Goddess of Compassion  ~

‘Self-criticism is diminishing your sense of self-worth.’

The Goddess of Compassion has shown up in your reading today to ask you to be more compassionate towards yourself.

At the core of every living thing only love exists.  Your personality and the role you play in this life is only transitory and ultimately, an illusion.

All that you perceive to be good or bad are necessary aspects of who you are; positive and negative qualities exist in everyone and in everything.  A more accurate description of positive and negative is Yin and Yang, for in reality there is neither positive nor negative, only opposite qualities which together make us whole.

Self-criticism is diminishing your sense of self-worth and keeping you in the illusion that you need to improve in order to be worthy of success, happiness, and fulfillment.  Have compassion; love and accept all of who you are, as you are, and stop striving for something that is impossible to attain.

Through love your life magically transforms.”

Let’s repeat one small part of that definition one more time, consciously, and with gratitude:

At the core of every living thing only love exists.

Whether life is seen as an opportunity or a burden

depends on one’s point of view,

not on one’s circumstances.
