Synergy and Promise

Since I’ve been delivering messages on a weekly basis rather than daily, I sometimes get information before I have a chance to sit down here and share it.  I walk around for hours with the same word repeating loudly in my head.

For the past few days all that I keep hearing is this:

community.

And then, a few days ago, I was fortunate enough to sit down with two beautiful women here in town.  Definitely a sort of “sisterhood” feeling. We talked a lot about how we give back, how we stay connected, and how our lessons are often gifts we can pass along.

There is “unity” inside of Community.  There is a supportive and harmonious energy when we gather together and share.

This is what’s on the horizon for me, personally, but it is also what’s in the works for us, in our Universal village.  It’s what we NEED, and from what I can see, it’s exactly where we are headed.

Here is an uplifting view, source unknown, that I thought was very fitting.   (Because, wise wild dolphins.)

sisterhood

And an affirmation I recently came across.  Credit to Melanie Beckler, at Ask Angels.

May I see what I am meant to see,

Hear what I am meant to hear,

Say what I am meant to say,

And know what I am meant to know.

For the highest and best good of all.

Our Full Second Rotation.

I never left the house today.  Oh wait, I crossed the street to get the mail.  It seemed safer this way.

We have gone all around our little card altar, twice now.  Tomorrow we will begin our third tour.  I’ve been debating how long we should do this.  No one has suggested anything else, so I believe we’ll just keep going until the week of my birthday, which is always around Labor Day (yes, I was in fact, born ON Labor Day that year, which my mother continues to find amusing).  I am thinking I may take a break, or maybe not.  Tell me what you think.

We are planning two adventures, one will be lacking all five vital members of the tribe, but we will probably have to go without her again this year.    *sigh*   I can’t stand leaving one kid out.  It rips at my s/mother heart.  On the plus side, she will be joining us when we head to the coast.   You know how I love the coast…..

        Medicine Cards

          Otter    ~    Woman Medicine

The medicine held by Otter is a set of lessons in female magic.  This applies to both men and women, as all of us have female sides and male sides.  The Otter’s hide is very often used to make medicine bags for powerful women because it represents balanced female energy.

Otter is very caring of its young and will play for hours, performing all types of acrobatics.  It lives on land, but always has its home near water.  The elements of Earth and Water are the female elements in this tradition.  Otter is always on the move and is very curious.  Unlike other animals, Otter will not start a fight unless it is attacked first.

Character traits of Otter are the beauty of a balanced female side, the side of ourselves that creates space for others to enter our lives without preconceptions or suspicions.  Otter teaches us that balanced female energy is not jealous or negative.  It is sisterhood, content to enjoy and share the good fortune of others.  Anchored in understanding that all accomplishments are worthwhile for all people.  Otter expresses joy for others, and helps us to find the joy in ourselves.
