Divine Positioning

This afternoon I carved out a couple of hours to spend time in the company of a like-minded soul.  It was a mundane errand cloaked in joy.  We made our own fun.

He and I know that we’ve wandered other lives together, wearing different bodies, but still the same spirits.  We are planning some more afternoons.

What’s been in my head, even before today, humming loudly, is how we find each other.  How our paths cross at exactly the proper and correct moment.  At that point in both of our lives when we need each other the most.

This is connected to last week’s message, because it’s still focused on Time, but now, it’s also about

the placement.

That old cliche of being in the right place at the right time, or even, the wrong place at the wrong time, is not valid.  We are where we’ve PUT ourselves when we need to be in that place.

Right place, or wrong place.  That’s a construct not known on the plane we all come from/return to.  Good time, bad time, same idea.

Is the place or time benefiting to us both, to us all?  Then it’s good, even if, by some standards, it might seem bad.  The trick is to relax in to the plan we made before we put on these bodies; tune in to the blueprint, and allow ourselves to make these soul-connections, the remembered friendships we’ve treasured before.

Another side of this same concept is about letting go of the old, no-longer useful burdens (even if some of them may be relationships).  And, turns out, here’s our validation.

go HERE to listen.  It’s the new favorite music for me and grandbaby.  (We did not watch whatever was shown on their video, she’s not allowed screens for another few years.)

Up and Out, comfortably.

We have turned a corner and it’s all downhill from here.  Okay, some of it is still literally uphill, but the road is fairly smooth, either way.  Today’s trudge was remarkable, for one specific and exact reason.  I was NOT in excruciating pain!  (Read that one more time: I was NOT in excruciating pain!)  The answer wasn’t about shoes, or even stretches (but I promise, Han, I’ll keep doing them).

It was the warm up!  It was the minutes I needed to get my damn muscles from house-comfy to road-ready.  I’ve been going out too fast and chaotic this whole damn time.

Hey, I’m all new to this shit.  And seriously, just thrilled that we’re past this point and have worked out most of the bugs.  I’ll let you know how it’s going, but from this day forward, the pain level should not be something we need to discuss any longer.  (Thankgawd.)

Earlier today I had an amusing text conversation/argument/discussion with my son.  I was slightly frustrated at its conclusion so we just moved on with our day.  I went into the card altar room and flipped over our daily draw.  And then I Laughed Out Loud.  When I told him what it was, in a later message, he laughed too.

“Llama  ~

Let courage lead you to seek support and overcome a fear of intimacy.

Sweet-tempered, soft, and friendly, Llama’s gentle and beautiful wide-eyed face belies her ability to withstand unforgiving conditions.  Llama counsels that defensiveness keeps others far away while drawing near loneliness and disrespect.  Let go of angst and foreboding, perhaps by consulting another who may untangle the psychology of your mind.  As no path is impassable to Llama, with courage you may take a hard but rewarding road to rediscover that sweetness in your soul and be as one with others.”

How much are we loving this new deck?  LOTS!  Not only are the definitions simply well done, but the animals are nicely varied.  This one is from the same category as our Wild Boar from the other day, Land Creatures.  Just because we haven’t really gotten to know these cards very well yet, let’s see what she has to say about this group.

“Land Creatures:

Cheetah, Lion, Cobra, Kangaroo, Hare, Wolf, Rhino, Mountain Goat, Llama, Wild Boar, Wild Horse, Scarab Beetle, Bear, Deer, Bison, Moose, Baboon, and Tortoise.

A great number of our messengers live on the earth’s varied terrain, and have adapted in very specific ways to the other animals, birds, flowers, rocks, insects, and climate they are confronted with.

Cheetah has taken the form of a sight hound to sprint at 70 miles (over 110 kilometers) per hour, Tortoise makes her carapace her fortress, Baboon’s sexual desires are broadcast through vivid-colored fleshy swellings of purple and red.  None is better than another, for all are perfect in their world.  The lesson these animal messengers teach is that there are myriad ways to live and infinite paths to choose, all with their own validity.

We are not all geniuses – we cannot all be film stars, city millionaires, or even Buddhist monks – but we all can choose paths and lifestyles to suit our own intrinsic nature.  Some thrive on the thrills of cutting a deal, others find deep satisfaction in devoting themselves to their families.  Still others crave to travel the world.  No way is right, no way wrong, and finally only we can choose.  What is important is that like our animal messengers we are not swayed by the judgments of others nor by slick advertising, which seeks to make us hold the empty belief that objects that we never knew we needed will make us happy.  Scarab Beetle dines on the waste of others, an anathema to a world which discards old to buy new.  But Scarab is a flawless, living jewel.”

Yes, we absolutely made an informed and inspired decision when we selected this deck as our newest addition.  Thank you, Universe, for showing us these messages.  Thank you Friend of JulieLand for bringing them to our doorstep.  Thank you Judy for the original recommendation.

Old news report/by special request: shall we see another version of that same picture of my son (who was some kind of Peruvian royalty or perhaps just a llama herder in another life) as his newest old incarnation?  Sure.  But really, we are now done with this.  Glowing or not, let’s move along.

Everyone happy?  Good.  Back to me.  So I mentioned a new hair band thingie yesterday, and I know you guys are curious about it.  It’s one of these dealies, and I am really pleased with my purchase.  (The prices are extremely reasonable.)

They do a promotional give-away where you can win one for free by attaching a badge or something to your blog.  I’ll investigate further and keep you posted.  If it’s a worthwhile venture we may play along.

My new sporty hairstyle, with sporty head band and lumpy sporty braids.  Can you see how lovely the weather is?  Also, you may notice that I am standing in almost exactly the same spot J.D. was when I photographed him.  I don’t seem to be as radiant though.

LateNight Update: please go read this piece written by my daughter, the 20-something curmudgeon and Princess of Sarcasm (she can’t be Queen yet, I haven’t died).  I promise, it will make you laugh, so don’t be drinking anything until you’ve finished it.  And when you do finish it, might I suggest tea?
