More Improvement

It’s no secret that one of my major life lessons is Release.  We’ve discussed it before, and it rings true for many of you, as well.  The process though, is VERY individual. And yeah, I’m workin’ on mine.

One of the phrases from this past week (which have been loud and clear) sound one way, when they’re really another.  Example: be higher, be better.

At first, it’s almost like we’re being encouraged to compare ourselves with others.  That couldn’t be farther from the truth.  In reality, it means

rise above.

The Universe is reminding us that competition and comparison is not the healthiest direction, not necessarily the best road for us to take.

We all know that we’re paddling along, every one of us with the same ending.  Death.  We are dying. It’s the honest and factual reality of our physical experience.

But, to advance, to rise above, to do better, to BE better, is how we’ll best enjoy the time we have here for this particular and indivdual adventure; it’s how we move forward in our evolution, and how we benefit the most from this journey.

We simply need to learn how to let the small shit go.  To release the cultural constraints and judgments.  To ignore the comparisons.  To cease the negativity, and to actively Choose Joy whenever we can.

In validation, this particular draw couldn’t be more perfect.  Just keep in mind, when we discuss “health” we aren’t always talking about the old, outdated, harmful physical restrictions and confining limitations of the past, of the patriarchy.  More often (and more accurately), we are addressing our emotional, our spiritual, our mental conditions, and how best to live our lives in comfort and peace.

“Health  ~  9

Now is an opportunity to focus on your health.  You have been living life at a hectic pace for some time.

It would be wise to take a break and allow yourself to relax and rejuvenate.

Give thanks for the health of your body and mind and remember to make your health a high priority in the coming months.

Affirmation:

Each and every one of my cells is continually regnerating and radiating light.

I attune to the divine love within me and let it flow through every cell of my body.

I breathe in life and the energy flows freely within me.

I am eternal youth,

eternal health,

eternal light.”

Not Shallow, Not Sparse

In the past I have been such a judge-y person.  I try not to be, now, but sometimes I still am.  It’s a struggle, this immediate I-Know-Everything-In-An-Instant attitude and reaction.  It’s certainly a thing I’m working on.

Our culture promotes it, and that’s just fucking wrong.  You look at an individual, and according to societal dictates, ya know all about ’em.

Except.  That’s blatantly untrue.  Here’s what the Universe wants us to focus on, to help with educating ourselves, and others:

layers.

There’s our insides, and there’s our outsides.  For me, it’s been extra difficult through the years, and now again more recently, to feel worthy.  I have the feeling as if my outside doesn’t match my inside.

But, the truth is, we’re all made of layers, laminated like the very best and butteriest pastries.  What is on the inside, is the real value, what we’re carrying around on the outside is merely the vehicle to get us from point to point.

Nobody’s outside is of more value than anyone else’s.  Ever.  The old phrase, “it’s what’s on the inside that counts” is entirely true.

For our validation, and for a better understanding of this message, here’s a view I recently came across.  I’ve been meditating on it, and I recommend you do, as well.

I’m not generally a FLOWER sort of person, although I adore plumeria, jasmine, and honeysuckle.  This image just said all the things we needed to hear.

Persistently Cyclical and Occasionally Damp

You’ve probably heard of the idea that life is a boat ride, the world our river (or ocean).  We are rowing along, doing the work, navigating as best we can.

Water, sometimes roaring rapid-like, takes us for a ride.  Not necessarily “off course” but certainly in directions we hadn’t thought we were headed.  Perhaps we never aimed our craft over there, at all.

And yet.  Here we are.  Bobbing in the waves, floating about, where we had no clue we would end up.

This is what the Universe wants to remind us:

tides and currents.

Much like the saying, Time and Tide waits for no person, we are not always in charge of where we sail.  Nor are we the ones who get to decide on when to tie up safely and wait out the flash flood or tsunami.

I mean, we ARE.  Or rather, we were.  When we set this whole shit-show in motion.  But, we weren’t actually HERE, wearing our meatsuits and living this physical life, sitting in a dinghy being tossed and splashed.

And now that we’re rowing merrily down the stream, not every single part of it is truly a dream.  Some of it is downright nightmarish.

Which is where the whole Acceptance Lesson has to be revisited.  We just need to sit back sometimes.  And let the water lead.  Go gently along, where our little rivers and tiny seas need us to go.

It’s not always an easy choice.  In fact, it can be extremely challenging.  We have the strength though, I know we do.

And, look at what our validation is saying.  We can always pick up our boat and portage until a new option appears.  It’s all about the opportunities.

a spark

My week has mostly been a lot of work.  Also, a lot of work on healing.

To “do better” or “get better” often we must put effort and energy into it.  I’ve been trying to be successful.  I’ll keep going, keep at it ……

encouraging you to do the same.

             Our message is simply this:

light

On my new front porch, in the small house where we now live, appeared a box.  It was accompanied by a handwritten card.  and this gift.
