We Make That Decision.

Oh those themes, we tend to flow along with them.  Themes, we’re in the midst of one right now.

Its basis and foundation is Honesty, but around the edges is:

directional choice.

We can decide to go this route or that one, or we may select another entirely.  Are all of the available options in our best interest?  Nope, not even close.

Some might be simple, while others appear more challenging.  The best way to know what’s our truest course, our best path, is to listen.

Quietly, from within will come a voice.  Or an image.  Maybe even a feeling.  Follow it.

Also, speaking of such things, I was directed (strongly!) to leave our regular rotation around the card altar earlier.  We needed to see this draw.

lead by example

“Follow the Leader  ~  40  ~

‘Every life is a teaching tool for others.  Your authenticity and honesty are an example to those around you.’

You are being called to lead others by example.  Your wisdom has been earned as a result of your bravery in the adventure of your life.

The experiences, of battles, won and lost, places discovered, tears shed, and joy revealed have placed you in a unique position to be of service to others.

Your suffering has been crystallized into a talisman of wisdom.  Now you must share it.

By being fully authentic, you will lead others into the light.  You’ll be required to divulge some things about your past so that you may help someone else.

Lead with love.

There is another message here as well.  Look to those whose great character and accomplishments you admire.  Emulate the leaders that you respect.

You will then in turn have more to offer.”

Unto Our Own

Once again, it was all about the symbolism.  The views which were brought forth for me to share with you this morning, featured houses.  Many, many houses.  Each unique and precisely specific.

The scenes all had heft to them; they felt important and necessary.  Just as each of us are (as we were reminded yesterday) are our own individual and special person, so too, were these homes.

Even in a row of houses all built exactly alike, they are truly not.  Just as we may all be having a human experience, each of those singular experiences is one-of-a-kind.

Each and every situation.

The suggestion being made right now is that we are to treat circumstances as if they were a stand-alone occurrence.  Because each one is.

Still within our regular rotation today, we’ve arrived upon my “working” cards*.  This illustration perfectly demonstrates the point.

*This stack looks so much newer because it’s a duplicate.  My “real” ones are beginning to get a bit rough around the edges, literally.

5 of Swords

5 of Swords

It’s not about cheating, or manipulation.  It’s about doing the best that we can, under challenging conditions.  One condition at a time.

Often this comes up Reversed, and that’s good, it means we’ve risen above the petty, the competitive, the physical difficulties that surround us.

But this time, right now, in one of those “situations,” we’re going to need to set our judgements aside and do whatever it takes.  That might mean selecting an option we would usually avoid.

The bottom line though, is that we keep in mind what value a singular event can mean.  And how it may need to stand out.

Today’s Sharing:

is a new program being broadcast on BBC America (a channel I didn’t even knew existed until practically mere months ago).  It’s called Almost Royal.  And holy freaking fuck, it’s so damn funny.  (You know me, I extremely picky and difficult to please.)

The young comics who portray siblings are hilarious in their own right (Amy Hoggart and Ed Gamble), but as these characters, deargawd, I just can’t tell you how hard Dan and I laughed when we watched the first few episodes.  If it’s not available where you are, at least watch the clips provided on their website.  Really, so freaking funny.

Gently Genuine

We have so many parts to ourselves, so many bits and pieces which make up the whole of who we are.  They are layered, too, these portions of us.

What I was shown this morning spoke not just of the combing of our true selves, but the depth of that blend.

You are who you are.

Awareness and appreciation of/for the entirety of the journey which got us here, to this place right now, is where our heartfelt focus will be best served.  Awareness and appreciation of/for ourselves is not completely about how we became this being though, but also about BEING this individual.

For another perspective, and a calm, gentle way of viewing the message in illustrated form, this daily draw duo, from within the regular rotation around our card altar, shows us.

“Awareness  ~  VII  ~  Major Arcana  ~

The veil of illusion, or maya, that has been keeping you from perceiving reality as it is, is starting to burn away.  The fire is not the heated flame of passion, but the cool burning of awareness.  As it removes the veil, the face of a very delicate and childlike Buddha becomes visible.

The awareness that is growing in you now is not the result of any conscious ‘doing,’ nor do you need to struggle to make something happen.  Any sense you might have that you’ve been groping in the dark is dissolving now, or will be dissolving soon.

Let yourself settle, and remember that deep inside you are just a witness, eternally silent, aware and unchanged.  A channel is now opening from the circumference of activity to that center of witnessing.

It will help you to become detached, and a new awareness will lift the veil from  your eyes.

Silence  ~  XVII  ~  Major Arcana  ~

The silent mirrorlike receptiveness of a star-filled night with a full moon is reflected in the misty lake below.  The face in the sky is deep in meditation, a goddess of the night who brings depth, peace, and understanding.

Now is a very precious time.  It will be easy for you to rest inside, to plumb the depths of your own inner silence to the point where it meets the silence of the universe.

There’s nothing to do, nowhere to go, and the quality of your inner silence permeates everything you do.  It might make some people uncomfortable, accustomed as they are to all the noise and activity of the world.

Never mind; seek out those who can resonate with your silence, or enjoy your aloneness.  Now is the time to come home to yourself.

The understanding and insights that come to you in these moments will be manifested later on, in a more outgoing phase of your life.”

Truth, and Farewell

Here’s the thing about living our lives in these bodies on this planet, doing it with genuine care and honesty just cannot be stressed enough.  Because if we don’t, we are cheating everyone.  Beginning with ourselves.

The messages that I am supposed to deliver here every day, usually arrive in my sleep.  Today, however, I’ve heard from a different source.

I found out this morning that an internet friend, and LGBTQ advocate, crossed over last week.  He died peacefully in his sleep.   See, LIFE is what we need to appreciate, right damn now.

Matt Kailey was an awesome individual, on so many levels.  He was outspoken and beautiful.  We’ll miss him here, but I know that he’s glad to be Home.

He lived his life with integrity, and shared his lessons along the way.  If part of what we are to do here is to be a role-model, he succeeded.  In a big and powerful way.

On our card altar today, back within our regular rotation, that same message of openness has arrived.  In the form of how we transition, from living shielded (or in fear), to embracing life openly, in exactly the way that suits us best.

7 Swords (reversed)

7 Swords

Swords, as you already know by now, are words.  They are thoughts, and they are laws.  They are written down and they are spoken aloud.  They are of the Air, and all that this entails.

When we are not honest, when we hesitate because we care what others may think or say, then we are giving our genuine truth away.  We are false.

Lovingkindness begins with ourselves.  Once we establish our Self-Care, we are better able to pass it along to others.  The Universe is telling us now, not only to appreciate what we have (and stop worrying about what we don’t), but also to live in Joy.  As we are.  Truthfully.

Today’s Personal Note:

is two-fold.  I’d like to say Thank You one last time, to my friend Matt.  (See  you when I get there.)

And I’d like to wish Cher a Happy Birthday.

Safe, Cautious, and Caring

It has become a most fascinating way to wake up, this message-every-day phenomenon.  Now, nearing a full year since it began, I still don’t understand it entirely.  But, as you well know, I also don’t question it.

As long as they keep arriving, I’ll keep sharing them.  Some mornings, the images and feelings are much more urgent than others.  Each one is distinct and individual.  Today’s falls on the “important” side.

Taking Care

As you ALSO know by now, I’m not exactly Sally Safety.  (Bike riding with no shoes is merely the latest incarnation.)  However, that doesn’t mean I’m not aware of my surroundings, or possible dangers.  Nor does it mean that I am careless.

We’ve discussed situational awareness here before, and this is similar.  When we are alert, we are better able to understand what is happening, what is taking place, both within and without.  Which also helps us to stay knowledgeable.

But this message talks, too, of Self-Care.  Taking Care is another way of saying CareGiver*, so today we won’t be having a daily draw.  Instead, I’m sharing my other calendar page for the month.  Because when we start with caring for our selves, we are also caring for our Mother.

*The Giving and Taking being a fair energy exchange.

"I appreciate the beautiful world I live in."

I appreciate the beautiful world I live in.

Along the side we have this, from the 2014 version of “You Can Heal Your Life”:

“I love this marvelous planet.

The earth is a wise and loving mother.  She provides everything we could ever need.  There is water, food, air, and companionship.  We have an infinite variety of animals, vegetation, birds, fish, and other natural wonders.

We have treated this planet very poorly, using up valuable resources.  If we continue, we will have no place to live.

I commit to lovingly taking care of and improving the quality of life in this world.  My thoughts are clear and loving and concerned.  I express random acts of kindness whenever I can.  It is my planet, and I help to make it a better place to live.

I imagine a peaceful planet, with a clean, healthy environment for all.  I see all the people on the planet opening their hearts and their minds and working together to create a world where it is safe for us to love each other.

It is possible, and it begins with me.”

Thank you, Louise Hay.  This is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day.  (I apologize for the rhyme, it was unintentional, but also unavoidable.)
