The Finding and The Recognizing

The processes we all go through in our journey are very often encouraged along by the seasons and cycles of planets (ours and all the rest).  As we take on our life lessons, and heal from the past, we fulfill our charts.

We must never forget that we are a spiritual being, inside of a physical body.  That body has flaws, it falls down, it sometimes learns slowly instead of quickly.

In regards to our (not always efficient) forward momentum, here is what the universe would like us to look at today:

discovering recovery.

Our path can be a challenging one, and yet we know that’s part of being here.  When the road is smooth and the going is easy, we need to acknowledge that; show our gratitude for the gifts and blessings.

Because, when we’re in a more difficult time and place, those good memories can sustain us.  The more we pay attention to the positives, the more positives we’ll have to pay attention to.

And that’s a discovery we can make every day.  To recover from our challenges and the rough patches we encounter along the way, we don’t need to do anything more than accept our current position, and honour the learning of it.

To find that truth, one which we maybe weren’t previously aware of, is to know our own genuine nature.  It is to be honest with ourselves.  Observe both/all sides, and let them go.

On our card altar right now, this message (reminiscent of what we heard yesterday) continues with another, validating, reminder.

dreams coming true

“Stay Optimistic  ~

‘Your dreams are coming true.

Don’t quit right before the miracle occurs.’

This is it – your time has come!  You are about to collect your rewards, and your prayers will be answered.

However, a bit more patience and guided action on your part is required.  The extra wait and effort are definitely worth it.  You’re just about there, and this card asks you to keep your faith about miracles and magic.

Use your imagination to visualize that your dreams have already come true.  Your heart will swell with gratitude and joy, and these emotions will speed up your desired manifestations.

Before long, you’ll be enjoying the tangible results.”

Today’s Personal Observation:

can best be summed up with these 140 characters from my earlier Tweet.

Remember the time your thoughtful sister-in-law filled a cooler full of ice water for your hot swollen feet?Yeah,it’s that kinda hot today.

The heat doesn’t usually last very long here.  If it did, we’d move.

.

Established Embodiment

I’m smack-dab in the middle of an über busy few days, and predicted heat-wave.  The pool needs me four times in three days (I’ve become the substitute-water-instructor-of-choice.  Apparently).

All of this makes today’s message a tiny bit ironic.  (Still valid, but slightly comical, on a cosmic level.)

Soul focus,

not body.

We are being reminded to look past the false importance of our shells and stay in tune with our own sacred self.  Our inner voice and shining light are so very much more valuable than the physical casing we walk around in.

To do things like therapeutic water movement is an EXCELLENT way to honour our bodies, but at the same time, it’s also a lovely sort of spiritual checking in, too.  We, as a culture, are uncomfortably disconnected on this issue.

Whatever the way we can delve deeper, and make that soul connection, we are being encouraged to do so.  It will benefit us, from the inside out.

And as we return to our regular rotation around the card altar, this draw shows us how very basic it is to begin a releasing process.  We can allow the laser focused mindset on our bodily imperfections to slip away, since really, it was never needed.

(Sidebar: here is our second such message from the cards in less than two weeks.  Remember THIS ?)

Additionally, the number eight in a symbolic sense, is the infinity sign on its side.  We are in a continuous state of ending, beginning, ending, and beginning a new.  The more we are aware of it, the less challenging it becomes.

8 of water

“Letting Go  ~  8  ~  Water: Emotions

In this image of lotus leaves in the early morning, we can see in the rippling of the water that one drop has just fallen.

It is a precious moment, and one that is full of poignancy.  In surrendering to gravity and slipping off the leaf, the drop loses its previous identity and joins the vastness of the water below.

We can imagine that it must have trembled before it fell, just on the edge between the known and unknowable.

To choose this card is a recognition that something is finished, something is completing.  Whatever it is – a job, a relationship, a home you have loved, anything that might have helped you to define who you are – it is time to let go of it, allowing any sadness but not trying to hold on.

Something greater is awaiting you, new dimensions are there to be discovered.  You are past the point of no return now, and gravity is doing its work.

Go with it – it represents liberation.”

Today’s Additional Zen Spark Of Wisdom:

In existence there is nobody who is superior and nobody who is inferior.  The blade of grass and the great star are absolutely equal…..

.

Like, alike.

Yesterday we discussed our individuality.  This morning, I’ve been advised, we’re talking about similarities.  Not to toss out over-simplified generalities, but we do all strive for the same things.

Our needs and desires are, on one level, identical.  All of us want to be happy, healthy, and safe.  The bodies we inhabit all require equal and exact elements to survive.  As a whole entity, we are One.  A unit made up of matching parts.

Same – same.

What we seek can be found in a set method and way.  A standard and proven system is already in place for our use.

To be serene, we must rest quietly, go within.   To be healed, we must reach out and heal others.  To attain our goals, we must ever spiral upward.

As individuals, we are together.  Alike.  The same.

oracle cards, animal messages, bee symbolism

“Bee  ~

‘Hard work is rewarded with responsibility and a sweetness that is shared.’

Without busy Bee pollinating the flowers whose rich produce of fruit, vegetable, and seed provides for man, beast, and bird, the world’s ecosystems would decay and the web of life unravel.

If Bee has come to you now, she is asking you to look within: do you wisely protect or thoughtlessly pollute her environment?

One of the most powerful creatures on earth, Bee works hard, but just as her honey makes warm intoxicating mead, she reminds us, too, that a life without frolic and fun lacks sweetness.”

No Sharing Today:

we’re in a heat wave (which I just found out will continue into next week), and I’m feeling melty.

Our Card 27, and It’s Still Hot.

Okay, still hot here, but apparently not nearly as hot as some OTHER places!  Jeez, surface of the sun is what I’m hearing.  Yikes folks, seek shade and stay well hydrated.  On the family front, I received some very entertaining phone photos from J.D. today.

Flamingos

Meerkats

Big damn python

Penguinos

So I guess he and Empress went to a zoo.

The Keeper of the Scales ~ 38 ~ fairness, balance.

The Law of Harmony is enacted when she comes to us as an Ally.  Align with her as the law states, making conscious choices that create balance in our lives.  When we do, we also magically align with the abundance of the Universe and the powerful forces of synchronicity.  This creates conditions and possibilities that lead to the fulfillment of our highest intentions.  Harmony begins with the self and then resonates outward to others.  We are in harmony with ourselves when we nurture ourselves with love, respect, and acceptance, always fully taking responsibility for our actions.  We can then be in harmony with others.  This is because love is the central force that connects all of life and aligns us with like-minded others.  This Keeper is just and kind, always making sure balance is activated on our path.

I love this card, in its message and in the simplicity of its representation.  Very reminiscent of the Scales of Justice, as well as the Justice card in the Tarot.  I am a huge fan of all things being fair and equal.  The colors here are warm and soft, all creams and gentle greens to yellows and browns, then back to cream again.  The central figure is a woman who appears to be sort of hovering above a field of grain, she is draped in a sheet-like garment that blends into the clouds.  She has a serene look on her face, with loose, unstyled hair in similar shades of the wheat around her.  Both arms are at her sides, hands extended with palms down, weighing scales just balanced on her fingertips.  The entire feeling here is breezy and peaceful, so warm.

26th Card, and I’m Melting.

Yes, say that in the Wicked Witch of the West’s voice, and feel very green when you do.  I’d give anything for a little girl with a bucket of water right now.

On a completely unrelated note (because I am not the only person who is complaining about the weather) Daniel suggested to me last night (oh right, the boys got home safely, sorry, forgot that part) that we continue a card of the day type of deal when this oracle deck ends.  (Sorry Em, means more reading for you, but ya know, you can just ignore them.)  I’ve mentioned that I have several decks floating around the hovel, so I’ll just rotate them and maybe pick one each day.  I’m also thinking about setting up a specific altar with the decks all laid out nicely (of course there will be a picture), so as to alleviate my own confused head.  I can’t use the Angels and Saints deck because that’s the one I’m in the middle of, for my self elf, right now.  But if we DO go with this idea, I’ll be done with it in a few weeks, so I can toss it in to the rotation fairly soon.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Complaints?  Other ideas?

The High Lady of Love and Compassion ~ 1 ~ reverence, kindness, consideration.

When she chooses to be our Ally she brings deep and meaningful messages.  Only Love is real, it is the sole unconditional and true power behind all means of manifesting out of the unseen and into the material.  Loves greatest creative power is ignited by the conscious action of compassion.  This card is all about generosity, reverence, respect, and empathy.  We wield a profound power and live a life of happiness and contentment when we keep this in mind.  Give selflessly, without expecting anything in return, and we are guaranteed to see the evidence that we are truly loved, and all manner of sychronicities will align in our favor.

I think this is a great message, not necessarily a great illustration of it though.  Maybe I just don’t adore the color scheme.  It is very muted, almost old world tones, washed out reds and olive greens.  The central figure is a woman (with translucent wings that are at rest) perched in the woods with a far away look on her face.  Her skirt is shades of pink, dull red, fading to the greens of the forest around her.  There are bright spots throughout the dark tones, fairies, sparkles, a bird, and a large bee.  Her hair is, I felt, needlessly brilliant.  I went back and re-read the meaning so I could get her picture out of my head, leaving me with a much better feeling about this card.
