To Adapt

Many of us have difficulty with Change.  “New” is not always better, in our eyes.  (I, personally, prefer nearly everything from before 1900……)

This past year or so has been nothing BUT upheaval and challenges and different for me, for my family.  But, I’ve also embraced much of it.

I’m not “better” at dealing with Change, but I am learning the lessons of

Flexibility.

And since our journey here, this life we’ve mapped out, is all about the lessons, it’s beneficial to address our success as well as our less-than-successful experiences.

There’s no such thing as mistakes, nor failure.  So, all of the aspects involved are worthwhile.  (Some simply feel more positive than others, that’s okay, perception is as unique as we are.)

The Universe, in Its divine and infinite wisdom, has even given us this gift of validation.  As if to say, “hey, you’re doing well, keep up the good work!”

“Opportunity  ~

Release your ties to the past.

When you let go of the old,

you make room for the new.”

While I’m not such a huge fan of “new” I do feel willing to accept these Opportunities for the promises that they are.

is this view from  Instagram.

See this #tinyhouse? It's called The Vicarage, and it's some sort of #collectable (from #england, of course). Next to it, for size reference, is a #VotiveCandle. It's no bigger than a medium #pear. I found it in a #SecondHand shop recently. It called out to me (and was incredibly #inexpensive), so I brought it #home. Some days I just walk around the #SmallHouse we live in, enjoying our space, carrying my #vicarage, feeling it with my fingers, and cradling it in my hands. I like the #miniature detailed nature of it, and I really like living here. The two places are similar, linked. New post up, on the website. I'm expressing #gratitude and working to #destress. Our Connectedness

This morning I woke up with clear direction, very specific instructions.  It’s time for us to return to the regular rotation around our card altar.  And, that this would be our main focus today.

When I realized which deck was up next and what the message was about, it made perfect sense.

“You just look around, look into the eyes of a child, or into the eyes of your beloved, your mother, your best friend – or just feel a tree.

Have you ever hugged a tree?  Hug a tree, and one day you will come to know that it is not only that you have hugged the tree but that the tree also responds, the tree also hugs you.

Then for the first time you will be able to know that the tree is not just the form, it is not just a certain species the botanists talk about, it is an unknown god – so green in your courtyard, so full of flowers in your garden, so close to you, beckoning you, calling you again and again.”

This is JUST what we’ve been discussing with our messages of relationships and being more than our physical shells.

“Experiencing  ~  3  ~  Fire: Action

An ‘experience’ is something that can be filed away in a notebook, or captured on film and pasted into an album.

‘Experiencing’ is the feeling of wonder itself, the thrill of communion, the gentle touch of our connectedness with all that surrounds us.

The woman in this illustration is not just touching the tree, she is in communion with it, she has almost become one with it.

It is an old tree, and has seen many hard times.  Her touch is gentle, reverent, and the white on the inside of her cape reflects the purity of her heart.  She is humble, simple – and that is the right way to approach nature.

Nature doesn’t bang any drum when it bursts forth into flower, nor play any dirges when the trees let go of their leaves in the fall.  But when we approach her in the right spirit, she has many secrets to share.

If you haven’t heard nature whispering to you lately, now is a good time to give her the opportunity.”
