Journeying

I’m on the mend, thank you all so much.  The “day” job continues to be a struggle.  My head is still congested, my voice is still compromised, and the cough is lingering; this heat is doing me no favours.

Starting Sunday (tomorrow) it will be a long stretch of no days off, and truthfully I am dreading it in a big way.  My mantra has been fridayfridayfridayfridayfriday so I can focus my mind on the end of it, instead of on how shitty it feels to begin a schedule like this.

And, not so ironically, the Universe is right there with me.  Coaching and encouraging.  Here’s what I’m hearing:

Endurance

This entire life adventure is about the doing of it, the going, the moving forward.  It’s never about the end.  Our goal is to survive.  To thrive, and to learn.  To constantly do better.

In order for us to accomplish this, we have to get THROUGH it first.  And that’s where my aim is now.  Getting through this week.  And making it to the next day off.

I absolutely do understand that I have to be there for some reason.  Even if I don’t know the reason, there is one.  Possibly, it’s many reasons.  Maybe, it might even be more about the process.

As soon as I figure it out, I’ll be sure to share.

In complete validation, here is where our message continues to take us.

oracle of the angels

Transformation  ~  38

You are in the midst of a profound transformation.  You are on a path of rapid growth and change –

you have been for some time.

The inner work you have completed is about to pay off.  You have acquired so much knowledge and experience and are now ready to let go of an ‘old’ aspect of yourself, rebirthing into a ‘new’ you.

Do not be afraid, embrace this transformation and rejoice in it.

Affirmation:

I welcome this personal transformation with open arms and an open heart.”

is to say, yes….. transformation, indeed!  On Tuesday I cut off all my hair again.  This will make the third donation process I’ve been through in the last decade.

No, we don’t have any (good) photos right now, but some will appear (eventually).  Envision going from extremely long braids to very short curls and you have the idea.

Additionally, there will be a new face to the website soon.  Not sure what it will look like, yet.  But it’ll all still be here.  Just a new view on the front.  I didn’t want anyone to be shocked, or unprepared.

Might take me a few weeks, merely informing everyone that the transformations are continuing.

This Altered Now

The feelings I have about Summer aren’t what they used to be.  So much has changed in our lives.  Very little looks as it once did.  Metaphorically, as well as physically.

As a child, and then a young mother, I adored the idea of no schedules, no school, no rain, no constraints.  The all-too brief season of heat was what I lived for all through the rest of the year.

Now, well now I’m just hot.  Now I’m working.  Now the weather no longer has much to do with my day, or even my night.

Still, we want to remark on the moment.  We want to recognize the turning of the wheel.  We want to remind ourselves that each season is special and important.

On Tuesday night, at 9:12 p.m. I will stop, and I will acknowledge that brief occasion, that ticking minute, when Spring has gone, and Summer has arrived.  I will stand in the longest day of the year and I will Choose Joy above all else.  No matter the temperate, no matter the circumstances.

Our message is just this.  Be aware of time.  Sit with our experiences and feel our emotions.

There is value in reflecting and savoring our memories.  There is also honest need to step forward into our next chapter, with appreciation of where we are, where we have been, and where we are going.

In validation, we have this beautiful card altar draw.

oracle of the mermaids

“Endurance  ~  43  ~  Keep going!

Like these mermaids, you are reaching an important stage of your journey, and it is essential that you continue.  There will be times when you feel like you have had enough and you wish to suddenly stop moving . . . . to sink, rather than to swim.

But the mermaids are here to ask you to continue swimming, tired though you may be, full of doubt though you may feel.  The second part of your strength is readying itself, and will come through, just exactly when you need it to.

Keep going.  You are strong.  You will go so much further than you currently believe that you can!

This is not the time to run back, or to allow the waters to take you.

This is the time to continue the journey you committed to.

You must keep going.  Eyes forward, intentions focused.  Purpose clear.  Re-commit.

And keep going!”

is this quote I recently came across on Instagram.

Do no harm,

and take no shit.

.

Hold, hold, hold, hold…… let go.

It is always hugely entertaining when our message arrives like an attractive and alluring, full length, Hollywood-type movie.  (This also makes it difficult for me to get out of bed, not something I’m very good at on all the other days.)

Today’s was expansive and full of life.  Color-filled and engagingly powerful.  Also, very real.

The entire view was a reminder (a “hey, pay attention!) for us all.

Endurance

But not to continue struggling.  No, instead we are looking at “fighting the good fight” – and being worthy.  (Again.  Much like Courage.)

We’re not talking about enduring a hardship, not even close.  The feeling here is to value our Endurance, and our deep personal strength.  Our tenacity, not our suffering.

Perfectly enough, I was directed away from our regular rotation, so that we could look further into how important (and two-sided) this entire message truly is.

divine helpers

“Exhaustion  ~  20  ~  Divine Helpers

Overload, Mania, Workaholism, Overdrive

Your Divine Helpers are here, advising you that it’s essential that you do everything in your power to fulfill your goals, it is equally important to know when to back off and allow the Universe to work its magic on your behalf.

You have done enough.  Allow these beautiful and highly competent guides to step in and take over.  Your enthusiasm is a gift, but unless it’s properly contained, it can undermine your best intentions.

Your Divine Helpers gently remind you that just as plants need water to grow, too much will drown their ability to blossom.  The same principle applies to your efforts.

Overdoing is fear in disguise; do not allow it to keep you in the manic mode.  Give yourself more breathing space.

Trust that your Divine Helpers are on the job overseeing your success so you can rest.  You need to let go and turn responsibility over to others.  Just because you need rest doesn’t mean that they do.

Ask your Divine Helpers for assistance in this; they know better than you what you need right now.  Ease up and let them work their miracles.

Their message:

Rest.”

The number on this card is a 2 (because in numerology that zero goes away).  It’s about the duality of our reminder right now, endurance versus exhaustion.  That fine balance of keeping up until we no longer can/need to.  When we feel the tipping point, we know it’s time to ask for help.

northern midnight

… aurora borealis … over Tungeneset, Senja, Norway

Accompanying the grid and photo, there is this about when is the best time for visibility,

” . . . . . in spring and fall or during peak solar wind activity, between sunset and sunrise – although 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. is best.

The aurora, when very bright, indicates an approaching storm.

The 2015 Old Farmer’s Almanac Weather Watcher’s Calendar

And when I went a-Googling for the proper spelling, I found this,

The aurora can be seen best at magnetic midnight. In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas, by Galileo in 1619.”

It’s on my list of things I need to go and see before this life is over.  Partly because the power just absolutely calls me there, but also because it seems like I miss it.

.

Lasting.

We are currently under siege here in River City.  By Air and Water.  The massive storm that my smarty-pants phone has been warning us about for days is here.  And here, seriously!  I just know that any minute we’re going to lose power, so I feel as though I need to hurry and get this post up before we do.

Our channeled message today is a single word.  But it’s a powerful one.  With depth and with strength.

Endurance.

It felt so emotional  when I heard, too.  Like the Universe wanted us to be aware of the vitality this individual concept brings to us right now.

Back within our regular rotation on the card altar, this theme continues nicely.  (I really do love how this works out.)

animal messages, oracle cards

“Fox  ~

camouflage

Wiley Fox has many allies in the woodlands, including the foliage, which offers protection and much medicine.  Fox is seemingly able to vanish amidst the lush undergrowth of the forest.  This flora is Fox’s ally.  The ability to meld into one’s surroundings and be unnoticed is a powerful gift when one is observing the activities of others.

Another natural gift of Fox is the ability to adapt to winter by changing color, like the chameleon.  Its rich, white, winter coat allows Fox to blend into the snow when the leaves no longer linger.  Fox medicine involves adaptability, cunning, observation, integration  and swiftness of thought and action.  These traits may also include quick decisiveness, and sure-footedness in the physical world.

If Fox has chosen to share its medicine with you, it is a sign that you are to become like the wind, which is unseen yet is able to weave into and through any location or situation.  You would be wise to observe the acts of others rather than their words at this time.  Use your cunning nature in a positive way; keep silent about who and what and why you are observing.  In learning the art of camouflage, you need to test your abilities to pull this off.”

Today we are also being shown the reverse angle, but as with the above definition, I’ve edited it down a bit.  (These are super long.)

“Contrary:

Someone may be watching you, and trying to figure out your next move.  If  you look deeper however, it may be that you are watching yourself to prove to yourself that you exist.  If you have become a ‘wallflower’ to the point of disappearing, you may need to decide that you are worth noticing.

Contrary Fox is as foolish as it is cunning, and you may have fooled yourself into believing that your low self-esteem is due to your being born plain or having an ordinary life.  This is camouflage of a different sort, in that you have camouflaged your true desire to experience life with friends, with joy, and with purpose.  In any case, you are put on notice to be aware of apathy and self-induced boredom.  You may have to dig deeply to find what excites you enough to scurry across the wasteland of your dulled senses and live.

Become Fox and feel the joy of knowing the playground of your life. “
