In my head lately has been very much a “perspective, appreciation, gratitude attitude” mantra.  It’s like chimes, ringing and singing.  Over and over.

As I look around at what hasn’t been finished, at all of the numerous tasks still incomplete, the enormous amount of unpacked boxes, the precarious stacks of not-put-away household items, it all feels defeating.   But that truly only lasts a brief moment.

Almost immediately, like right away practically, I hear the sounds of “change perspective, appreciate what IS done, embrace the endless small gifts and blessings” in soft gentle tones.  I am uplifted, and not quite so overwhelmed, as I tune in and set aside the unnecessary concerns.

In fact, this post is an entire day late because in our moving the cord to charge my camera battery has disappeared.  I can’t upload anything, can’t take photos.  I’d use my phone, but this PC is so old that the process for downloading images no longer actually works.  So.  I stopped worrying about it all.

Today, as we sorted and cleaned, donated and stored, we came across three playing cards.  I found an image on-line of the one which fell out first, and face-side up.

Ace of Clubs, or, in the Tarot: Wands

This sign of new life validates all that I’ve been hearing, it goes perfectly with the messages I’ve been receiving.  An Ace is always a new start, and with Wands, their very definition is primal energy, inspiration and spirituality.  This suit personifies intuition and creativity.

One of the most distinct things the Universe wants us to know is that nothing is black, nothing is white.  All of everything blends and melds in shades of gray, tones of color layers we can see reflected in nature.

Especially as we move towards Beltane, the fiery and explosive holiday of Life’s celebrating all that is wild and good and beautiful.  We can see it out every window, in every yard and park, there is life, there is hope, there are the blessings around us.

All we have to do is observe and appreciate, welcome and participate.

Proper Timing.

We just got back from some stimulating Out & About time.  With Max in the car.  Because really, it’s that or the Box of Doom.  Waiting in a parking lot seems preferable.  We never shop all that long.  I either love it or hate.  Not a bunch of gray area, where my choices are concerned.

Today, some things fell into the”love it enough” category.  And some fell on to “I can NOT fucking live without this any damn longer!” side of the page.  Sale rainpants were also acquired   They’ll do.  With one minor adjustment, which won’t cost us more than a peso or six at one of our local shops.  (Yes, I am a miniature person, and all garments must be modified in the “length” department.)  We also found Dan a really bad good hat that he can wear to keep his ears warm while we pedal über quickly.

Here’s what I fell in lust with.  Plus, two necessities and one bit of childhood memory hardware.

hand mixer, pasty cutter, nut chopper

Welcome to your new home.
(Sifter, mixer, cutter, and chopper.)

We used coupons, found bargains, and shopped very carefully.  Until I spotted that blue baby above.  Then all bets were off.  In reality, it wasn’t much more than the sale selection.  And besides, everybody, LOOK AT IT!!!

In yesterday’s comments Corina made a great point.  I still don’t cook, but I may be inching my puffy wee self elf closer to being able to almost bake.  With my right-for-the-job equipment  I might just do this well!  (I know, even *I* don’t think so, but it sounded good.  Besides, you know how perpetually optimistic I am.)

Today I’m just moving shit around in the kitchen.  That drawer where my beloved new gear will live, used to be full of other crap.  (Much of which is in the washing machine this very minute.  I’ll assess the usefulness of 30-year-old hotpads, and replace as needed.)

To think that more (and potentially better?) biscuits and cupcakes might be coming out of THIS house is phenomenal to me.  But then, so was the prospect of riding everywhere on 2 wheels, in the rain.   Or before that, walking 5 + miles every day, no matter the weather.  Pretty much, lots more options seem available.  Why not baking?

Speaking of shit I adore beyond all reason (because I can’t stop thinking about my gorgeously stylish ocean-hued mixer), we’ve come around to one of our favorite stacks this afternoon.  And it’s a winner of a message.

oracle cards

Synchronicity  ~

Your prayers and questions are being answered by synchronistic events.  Notice them in order to increase their flow.

As a result of all your prayers and manifestation work, you are now attracting synchronistic events.  Those ‘chance meetings,’ information that you just ‘happen’ to receive, and other synchronicities are really answered prayers.

By drawing this card Heaven calls  your attention to the synchronicity and serendipity happening in your life.  The more you notice these magical events, the more they will occur for you.  Even better, write them down in a journal as a way to stimulate more synchronicity in your life.

You may already know that there are no coincidental or accidental occurrences.  This card reflects your recent focus on positive thoughts, which are being directed toward your desires.  Like a magical energy beam that can influence physical objects, your optimism and faith are reshaping your life into a masterpiece that reflects your higher self.”

Take out any words that don’t work for you, and replace.  Otherwise, this one really speaks for itself.  No such thing as coincidence, as I’ve been saying all along.  When we get those signs, let’s pay attention.  We could be rewarded.  (I was!)
