If not now . . . . .

Do any of you recall when we discussed my Two-by-Four theory?  We talked about how messages come through to us, constantly.  We just don’t always perceive them, or listen to them, or understand them.

When we actively do not heed those messages, our Team gathers together and smacks us with them.  Much like being hit in the head by a large piece of construction timber.  This forceful notification from the Universe means we REALLY need to be paying attention.

I got two of those in the past few days.  They were huge.  And I absolutely sat up, said Thank You, and (literally!) took notes.

             The first part is this:

take nothing for granted.

Not air, not water, not homes, not faimly, not the ability to get out of our own beds without assitance.

We have so much.  So very VERY much in this life.  Just being able to walk somewhere safely, to breathe deeply, to sleep peacefully … these things can so quickly be forgotten for the gifts that they are.

Our most basic needs are generally met.  On a daily basis.  And yet, we too often disregard how truly precious they are.

We are being reminded of how much we have.  We are also being reminded that, as this card shows, we can be grateful while still feeling positive and filled with lovingkindness.

take nothing for granted

“Following Your Bliss  ~

‘My soul sings with joy!’

Do what gives you joy.  Celebrate and have fun.  You do not need to suffer to grow – in fact, true happiness comes from following the dictates of your soul.

Take steps today to expand your joy, seek out your bliss.  You don’t need to do it all at once, but you do need to make a start.

The Universe wants you to know:

if you don’t follow you bliss now, when will you?  If you’ve been waiting to act until circumstances are different, or somehow better, you may have a long wait.

Some people put off following their north star until they graduate, get married, lose weight, have kids, or retire.  If you continue to do so, you may never attain genuine happiness.

Take steps today to experience the sweet nectar of life.

Questions to ask yourself:

What feeds my soul?  How can I follow my bliss?  How can I find my joy?  What is blocking me from living a life filled with happiness?

May soul sings with joy.”

is tell you that on days when I’m really feeling overwhelmed and at my absolute worst, deep breathing and an attitude of gratitude truly do help.  I know how bad things can get, believe me.  And I know how well something as seemingly simple as this sounds.  Honestly, when we help ourselves, we are helping everyone else.

Thankfulness and Illness

I’m sick.  Going on day 3 (or maybe 5).  Throat is painful to the point of no voice.  Head pounding, eyes red and runny.  Lungs aren’t doing well, ribs ache from coughing.

Sleep is difficult (and you know how much I love sleep).  Just in general this has been a real, no-nonsense, shitty week.

Some challenges have arisen, struggle has been the norm.  On so many levels.

Here’s our message.  It was clear and it was loud.

channeled messages

If you know who I can credit this photo to, shout at me in the comments or send an e-mail.  For now, we’re going with it as is: whale sharks, staying in touch, being together.

The Universe wants us to remember how important our loved ones are.  Call or text somebody who is meaningful in your life.

Reach out, hold a hand (or fin).  Give a hug, or ask for one.  Our journey has bumps in the road.

We need to recognize (and be grateful for) the smooth spots.  We need to remember, both of them help us to be who we are, and who we strive to become.

This is my July view.  Enjoy.  I’ll be home, in bed.  With the air conditioning on, drinking water from an indoor faucet (and appreciating every single second).

For Love and Money. And Power.

I have no idea how many of you will see this post, or when.  There will be a black out (or there WAS one).  I’ve joined, and you can find out more about it here.  The WordPress folks say that our protest lasts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  (That’s eastern time, I’m pretty sure.)

I thought about maybe skipping a day, since lots of JulieLanders read during those blacked out hours, but I don’t think my OCD will allow it.  I’m honoring the boycott, and it will definitely put a crimp in my blog hopping, but I’m going to proceed to post normally.  (HA, normal, gawd that’s funny.)

It was a bike ride day for me, and even though it’s been raining pretty much non-stop since the last of the snow disappeared, I went out there and did my 30 minute Route.  The wind was super strong and excessively difficult to pedal against.  I still don’t have any water proof garments, so I got wet.  But ya know, later I also dried off.  (I remembered to wear the correct hat!)

We had a few errands that needed to get done this afternoon, good thing it wasn’t too many more though, because all the stupid people were out.  If we’d had to go any farther, or stay out there any longer, I think Dan would have shot someone.  (Fine, probably not, but better to be safe and just go home.)  We saw one foreign license plate, but it was a nice far away one: Florida.

The part arrived tonight for my still-under-warranty printer.  Too bad we’d used up all the color ink on tests and calibrations and useless shit that basically provided us with absolutely nothing in return and just cost money we totally couldn’t afford to spend.  Now we don’t know whether this replacement will solve the problem or not.  The entire thing keeps shutting itself down, telling us it’s out of ink.  There are not enough bad words, in this language or any other, to describe how frustrating it all feels to me right now.

Fortunately our daily draw is lovely.  And loving.  So that helps tremendously.  It has a bonus feature too.  (I adore bonus features!)

“Rose Quartz  ~  unconditional love, peace, joy, loving thoughts.

Blessings!  You are being bathed in love, light, and healing energy by the universe and those who dearly love and treasure you.  This is a time of peace and joy, a time to reflect on all that you are grateful for.

Share your love and blessings with your friends and loved ones.  Remember that the more love you give, the more love you automatically receive in return.  Know that you truly deserve all the blessings coming your way.

The following is a short prayer you may wish to recite so that others may also open their hearts to the healing power of love.

We pray for love to heal and guide us,

to illuminate our hearts and minds

so that we may all come to see and feel

the sacred flame of light we each hold within.

For then we shall truly know,

beyond all doubt, that only love is real –

only love is eternal.”

That’s a keeper, right there.  (Too bad I can’t fucking print it!)  The picture is really well done too.  This is one of my favorite stones, for a lot of reasons.  The first, a sobbingly tender memory of mine, is because it reminds me of a dress Empress used to wear.

It was a fabulous hand-me-down, one she put on the second she spotted it in the bag (even though it was too roomy and more than a full size too large for her; she was 4, so she totally knew her own mind, and fashion sense).  She wore it for well over a year (maybe closer to two), nearly every single day (at some point it finally fit, but then moved on to being too small; the only reason she stopped wearing it was due to the fact that we could no longer button up the back).

It was soft and cottony and had a huge full skirt that moved and swirled and was just extremely useful (for sitting on, for carrying important items around in, for extending the folds fully as though the fabric was a display cloth and setting other important items onto).  It was like a wearable rose quartz, in just exactly those shades, with just the right feel to it.

This is also one of the most well-known crystals.  Do they come from lots of places so they are easy to get?  Or is it because of what they stand for, and we all need this in our lives so we can survive the hardships?  I like that he includes a gratitude portion in his description of meaning and symbolism.  Peace, joy, and unconditional love are certainly things we need to say Thank You for more often.

Here is the first page of my new Hawaii calendar.  It’s gorgeous, and I’m very happy with it already.  You may not be able to see this, but there’s a tiny surfer person, holding a board and walking, near the center left, on the sand in this picture.  (I didn’t notice until I’d looked at it for the second time.)  And, an entire bank of those clouds are rose quartz colored.   Nice touch, Universe, thank you.  Again.
