Synergy and Promise

             Since I’ve been delivering messages on a weekly basis rather than daily, I sometimes get information before I have a chance to sit down here and share it.  I walk around for hours with the same word repeating loudly in my head.

             For the past few days all that I keep hearing is this:

community.

             And then, a few days ago, I was fortunate enough to sit down with two beautiful women here in town.  Definitely a sort of “sisterhood” feeling. We talked a lot about how we give back, how we stay connected, and how our lessons are often gifts we can pass along.

             There is “unity” inside of Community.  There is a supportive and harmonious energy when we gather together and share.

             This is what’s on the horizon for me, personally, but it is also what’s in the works for us, in our Universal village.  It’s what we NEED, and from what I can see, it’s exactly where we are headed.

             Here is an uplifting view, source unknown, that I thought was very fitting.   (Because, wise wild dolphins.)

Crystalline Consideration

             We are looking.   And perceiving.  In fact, our entire message is based on us viewing with an observational mindset.

             In the Zen tradition, we are taught of three usages relating to our mind.  The “thinking” part of ourselves (the one we’re most familiar with in this Western world), that’s for rational thought.

             At the other end of the spectrum we have (what is fondly, and sometimes not so fondly, referred to as) a Monkey Mind.  Pretty self-explanatory.  It chatters, and won’t shut the hell up.

             In observation mode, the third (actually visualized as “middle”) aspect, we neither think nor feel.  We don’t judge and we don’t become caught up in the hamster wheel of overwhelming chaos.  We view.

             Here is what the Universe is recommending for us, here is the suggestion which will be the most helpful for whatever we are currently facing.

Use the Observation Mind now.

             All of what we do and say can be traced back to our conditioning, our culture, our family, our up-bringing.  Sometimes the best way for us to move forward is to detach from that history, and begin a new version of ourselves.

             When we do it from the Observation Mind standpoint, we can make decisions much more sound, and much more based on what our soul’s journey is all about.  We can assist ourselves by leaving judgment and emotion out of the equation.

             We can be our own best allies.  Our own foundation and support.

             I spent a great deal of my therapy hour this week focusing on tools.  From our card altar we have a brilliant (and easy) process which works seamlessly beside/with the Observation Mind.  A tool that anyone can utilize (and see results).

daily positivity

“Morning Affirmation  ~

‘Say positive affirmations each morning to open the gates of manifestation.’

This card asks you to begin each day with positive intentions and affirmations.  Before arising from your bed, spend a few moments thinking about your desires.

Don’t worry about how to bring them into physical form.  Just allow yourself to imagine that they are already manifested.

Then, make one or more positive affirmations relating to your desires.  When you open your eyes, write down these affirmations (it’s a good idea to keep a pad and pen on your nightstand).

During the day, look at the affirmations and say them mentally or verbally.”

             Allow me to add in here, for a few months now I’ve been doing something similar (just the intentions part, but this is an excellent reminder to add in affirmations as well).  And even though it was/can be challenging, I am noticing beneficial (and positive) effects.

Resolving, Answering

             Have you ever had the feeling of being fine, everyone else is the problem?  Or, you’re aware of all the small (and fucking HUGE) imperfections and elements of just absolute broken-ness, but the rest of the world doesn’t seem to notice?  (Or at least, do enough to help fix anything!?)

             Those are the emotions of today’s message.  Sensations of frustration and powerlessness.  And yet . . . . .

             and yet, we can heal.  We can help.  We can make a difference.  (It’s definitely NOT just us.)

             This is what I heard, it refers back to yesterday (which tossed out its own call-back to the day before), so we may be in the middle of a theme.

Still Solvable

             Because, no matter how wrong and horrifying things are, they get better.  They teach us.  They move us all forward for a newer and much improved future.

             While it’s sometimes easy to give up hope and fall into the wailing existence that is going on around us, it truly does not help.  It simply adds to the negativity.

             Experiencing our own emotions is a valid and healing way to live in that sacred moment.  But to stay in that time, well, it’s not good for anyone.

             We all grieve and grow at differing rates, so what is “too long” for one person might be not nearly long enough for another.  To honour that is to honour our own emotions and needs.  It comes back to Self-Care.

             And on our card altar right now, to emphasize our lesson, this was where the Universe wanted us to look.

solving problems

“Rise Above Problems  ~

‘When you are in the middle of a problem, the solution often evades you.  See your situation from a higher perspective, and you may see a new way out.’

Have you been feeling frightened by a seemingly insurmountable situation?  Your fears may have created a negative obsession, where you think about the problem continually. 

Although you search endlessly for solutions, none seem forthcoming, and hopelessness creeps into your consciousness.  Whether your situation seems big or small, this card asks you to step back for an instant so that you can better see creative solutions.

Instead of continually working on the issue, mentally see yourself giving the problem to Heaven’s waiting hands.  Like entirely letting go of an envelope that you’re mailing, surrender the issue completely.

Then, imagine how the fairies might see your problem.  How would your problem look from their perspective?  Feel the sense of faith and hopefulness that they lend to you, and know that these positive emotions fuel the complete resolution of the issue.”

Again, and again, and again.

             Turns out, we haven’t moved on from yesterday’s message.  (A message about messages.)  I’ve been instructed to not even draw a new card.

             Instead, we are encouraged to (again) be aware of our signs and symbols.  But now, as they appear repeatedly.

Three times,

or more.

             I began calling this the Two-By-four Syndrome many years ago.  It’s when we think we might be maybe noticing something, but then we just let it go.  Only to find that it comes up and bashes us across the face.  Entirely because we were NOT acknowledging it.

             Symbols can be subtle.  Until they simply aren’t.  Signs might be mistaken for that mythological phenomenon some call “coincidence” – expect that there’s no such thing.

             Synchronicity?  Well now, that’s a force to be reckoned with.  And not one to ignored.

             The Universe wants us to be alert.  Hyper alert.  Especially to messages arriving several times in a row.   They will have great meaning, all we need to do is accept them.

Our Whole Presence

             Thank you all for allowing me to take yesterday off.  It was delightful, from beginning to end.  We went (as always) on a budget.  And we went (this is the part I’ve been working on for some time now) with no expectations, cares, nor preconceived restrictions.

             The loose plan was: whatever happens, happens.  The only goal was to see the beach.  (Hopefully still in daylight hours.)  And to have fun.  We did that.  It was an excellent success; an easy-going attitude of gratitude permeated the entire event.

             We stayed continually present and we veered off the beaten path many times.  Just wandering, and choosing Joy.  Simplicity was the key.

             This feeling has followed us into our message today.

Do the Doing

Be the Being

              If you, personally, cannot get an entire rejuvenating day right now, do not despair.  You will.  Soon.  I promise!  Soon, you absolutely will.  For now, grab a handful of solitary moments, and be grateful for those.  Actively appreciate them.

             (Conversely, if you physically can/are in a place that taking one day off-and-away is possible…. why the hell aren’t you?!)

              Yes, we have obligations.  Duties.  Chores.  Jobs, for fucksake.  But, but!  We also require soul-nourishment.  For me, it’s the coast.  For others, it’s something else.  (Or, ya know, also the coast.)

              To NOT go, that’s a terrible thing.  I didn’t used to understand this idea.  Now, I get it.  It’s necessary.  There is no reason to avoid joy.  None.

              Every reason you can name, they are all excuses.  I know this (believe me, do I know this!), I was the Queen of Lame and Stupid Made-Up Reasons.

             The real, honest, and genuine fact is, we can’t afford NOT to go.  Even if “going” is only 3 minutes in a corner, with headphones on and our backs to a room full of people and piled-up laundry.  Go!

             (Inserted Shakespearean aside here, if laundry or dishes are some of your excuses, message me, I’ll come and do them for you.  And if I’m not geographically close enough, then I guess we’ll set about finding someone who is.)

             Returning to our regular rotation around the card altar right now, as we slip in to this double retrograde phase, we have the perfect draw.

             We think too much.  This is just how it is.  We do it all the time.  We get caught up in the shoulds.   What will serve us all much better is to let go.  To relax.  To walk away for a minute and practice Self-Care.

              Our society views vacations as treats.  When, in reality, they are necessities.  We are called “lazy” if we don’t jump out of bed and run straight to work, high on caffeine, complaining all the tortured way there.

             That’s false.  It’s untrue.  And it’s unfair to our emotional selves.  Relaxing, resting, sleeping, taking breaks is how we heal and grow and learn our most valuable lessons.  It’s not something to earn, it’s something to expect.

               All we need to ask ourselves is, “what makes me happy?  What brings me joy and pleasure?”  Then, take some.  Go there.  Do that.  Be it.  And, appreciate every mindful second.
