Persistently Cyclical and Occasionally Damp

You’ve probably heard of the idea that life is a boat ride, the world our river (or ocean).  We are rowing along, doing the work, navigating as best we can.

Water, sometimes roaring rapid-like, takes us for a ride.  Not necessarily “off course” but certainly in directions we hadn’t thought we were headed.  Perhaps we never aimed our craft over there, at all.

And yet.  Here we are.  Bobbing in the waves, floating about, where we had no clue we would end up.

This is what the Universe wants to remind us:

tides and currents.

Much like the saying, Time and Tide waits for no person, we are not always in charge of where we sail.  Nor are we the ones who get to decide on when to tie up safely and wait out the flash flood or tsunami.

I mean, we ARE.  Or rather, we were.  When we set this whole shit-show in motion.  But, we weren’t actually HERE, wearing our meatsuits and living this physical life, sitting in a dinghy being tossed and splashed.

And now that we’re rowing merrily down the stream, not every single part of it is truly a dream.  Some of it is downright nightmarish.

Which is where the whole Acceptance Lesson has to be revisited.  We just need to sit back sometimes.  And let the water lead.  Go gently along, where our little rivers and tiny seas need us to go.

It’s not always an easy choice.  In fact, it can be extremely challenging.  We have the strength though, I know we do.

And, look at what our validation is saying.  We can always pick up our boat and portage until a new option appears.  It’s all about the opportunities.

Today’s Personal message:

is to say that I’m down to only one job now.  I had a day off.  I rested some and I socialized some.  Beginning my new work week on Friday, I’ll keep you posted, and take some more pictures.

Commonality and Participation

In our long journey, amongst our many stops and stayovers, some lessons do find a way of returning.  We truly ARE trying to learn them, and let them go.  But, damn.  Often, they feel like barnacles that just won’t come off!

For me, I’ve begun to understand the limits and restrictions.  I’m sure you have, as well.  Some of my personal challenges are computering and technology.

Another, is dealing with family relationships, or on the random occasion, co-workers.  I struggle to not take pretty much EVERYthing personally.  (But that’s back to the Letting Go………)

I make my valid attempts, I set aside my bias, I honestly do give all that I have.  And mostly, that is the best way.  Other times, I turn away in disappointment.

It’s very much about our own Acceptance and Attitude, I have come to know that, at least.  Which, after a lifetime of rage, allowing that to fall away, is a nice gentle feeling.

Our message, right now, is entirely in the card.  We can share, and then we can let those gifts drop wherever they are needed.  We do not need to worry about the results.  We live in a genuine way, how others receive that, is not our concern.

acceptance lessons

“Sharing of Yourself

‘I am an incredibly generous being.’

Share who you are with others.  Give what you have, what you do, and who you are.  Be generous.

The more freely and fully you share of yourself, the more freely and fully the Universe will give to you.

The Universe wants you to know:

you need to share from the depth of your soul.  Allow others to see your essence and feel your radiance.

If you give with the thought that it’s something you must do as a duty or a sacrifice, you may feel depleted.

However, if you give with the belief that there is no scarcity of energy, or funds, or joy, the Universe will pour an abundance of these things into your life.

Don’t expect to receive something in return – rather, be generous just because it feels right.

You can only give as much as your capacity to receive, so open yourself to receiving even more.

Questions to ask yourself:

how can I give even more?  What is stopping the flow within my life?  What could occur in my life if I gave without reservation?

Affirmation:

I am an incredibly generous person.”

Additional Affirmation:

It is safe for me to give and to receive,

it is safe for me to accept my gifts while staying protected from that which may cause me pain.

Inspiringly

In my head lately has been very much a “perspective, appreciation, gratitude attitude” mantra.  It’s like chimes, ringing and singing.  Over and over.

As I look around at what hasn’t been finished, at all of the numerous tasks still incomplete, the enormous amount of unpacked boxes, the precarious stacks of not-put-away household items, it all feels defeating.   But that truly only lasts a brief moment.

Almost immediately, like right away practically, I hear the sounds of “change perspective, appreciate what IS done, embrace the endless small gifts and blessings” in soft gentle tones.  I am uplifted, and not quite so overwhelmed, as I tune in and set aside the unnecessary concerns.

In fact, this post is an entire day late because in our moving the cord to charge my camera battery has disappeared.  I can’t upload anything, can’t take photos.  I’d use my phone, but this PC is so old that the process for downloading images no longer actually works.  So.  I stopped worrying about it all.

Today, as we sorted and cleaned, donated and stored, we came across three playing cards.  I found an image on-line of the one which fell out first, and face-side up.

Ace of Clubs, or, in the Tarot: Wands

This sign of new life validates all that I’ve been hearing, it goes perfectly with the messages I’ve been receiving.  An Ace is always a new start, and with Wands, their very definition is primal energy, inspiration and spirituality.  This suit personifies intuition and creativity.

One of the most distinct things the Universe wants us to know is that nothing is black, nothing is white.  All of everything blends and melds in shades of gray, tones of color layers we can see reflected in nature.

Especially as we move towards Beltane, the fiery and explosive holiday of Life’s celebrating all that is wild and good and beautiful.  We can see it out every window, in every yard and park, there is life, there is hope, there are the blessings around us.

All we have to do is observe and appreciate, welcome and participate.

Acceptance Lessons, with Action

As previously discussed (repeatedly), we all know that I don’t have an excellent relationship with Time.  We have different ideas of success, Time and I.

We have different goals.  I’ve come to accept this.  Me and Time, not always on the same page.

What I’m learning, too (because EVERYTHING is a fucking lesson!), is that this challenge, this agree-to-disagree situation with Time, it’s fine.  For right now, we, Time and I, we can continue to not necessarily see eye-to-eye.  Nothing tragic will happen.

And this is where our message is taking us, through time, and in to:

Patience.

Because truthfully?  Shit just takes as long as it takes.  If we miss one chance?  Another will roll around.

It’s never “too late” – nothing is a mistake.  Every experience and situation can teach us something.  Every relationship and interaction is beneficial.

In the end (spoiler alert, Universal Truth: there is no end), Time moves forward, as do we.

So, if it feels like we need to go faster/slower, do something sooner/something is taking too damn long, or however our humanity is manifesting timely dissatisfaction, all we have to remember is that, Time has a clock.  But we, we have a soul.

Once we accept (with patience and tolerance and a wee bit of grace) that timing is NOT everything, our own inner ticking will become quieter and the true songs of lovingkindness and joy will become easier to hear.

At first glance, this draw I was directed to, might not seem like the most perfect validation.  The opposite perhaps.  But as we read closely, it will become obvious that it certainly is ideal.  Even timely!

taking-action

“Taking Action  ~

‘I enthusiastically embrace life’s boundless possibilities.’

Card meaning:

Don’t hesitate!  Whatever you’ve been putting off, now is the time to act.

Stand tall, raise your fists to the sky, and leap into action.  Break out the champagne, for victory is in reach.

The Universe wants you to know:

Action creates momentum.  Whatever you have been wishing and waiting for, this is the right time to move forward without looking back.

Quicken your spirit by taking action now.  Even if you have to face your fears in order to do so, look them in the eye with a calm and clear gaze and forge ahead.

The action you take now will reap immense rewards in the future.

Questions to ask yourself:

In what area of my life should I take action now?  What blocks me from action, and how can I overcome this?  What is the most direct action that will yield the greatest result?

Affirmation:

I enthusiastically embrace life’s boundless possibilities.”

So simple, and so classic.

Every one of these is better than the last!  This calendar, it definitely makes me happy.  And that really needs to be a priority, for all of us.

Conscientiously Present

Over our time together here, we’ve received thematic messages, as well as repeated ones.  And we know that whatever type show up, they are all relevant.

What I’ve been hearing the past few days (along with a place name, which I still haven’t figured out yet), could possibly be filed under both categories mentioned.

This is the first part of it:

Here

Now

Which I believe is saying that we are supposed to notice and practice our Acceptance lessons.  (Focus on what we DO have, not what you DON’T.)

Personal example time.  I (might!) have a tendency to complain about how much I dislike our house.  Well, hello?!  I have a fucking house!

It’s a fine dwelling.  It’s roomy, and all of my crap is in it.  Key component here?  To turn that bitching around.  Show some gratitude for all that this gift brings.

End result: I am not homeless.  And neither are my belongings (of which, I have many).

             But then, there’s more.

Here

Now

This is about the entirety of Mindfulness.  Even as I’m immersed in (bombarded by!) this new job-training, I am making the effort to stop, to breathe, to find a Quiet Moment.

Being present can be accomplished with a tiny bit of work, also it’s beyond simple.  Everyone can do it.  It’s free.  And, more importantly, it’s good for us.

The thing is, we forget.  So, here is our reminder.  Arriving at the perfect time.

Not at all coincidentally, I was directed to this stack.  Validation.  Always nice.

silence

“Silence  ~

Rest your mind.

Silence is good self-care.”

We can, and should, find those quiet spots.  Like enough sleep, it’s for our own good.  And when we are good, so are those who care about us.
