Commonality and Participation

In our long journey, amongst our many stops and stayovers, some lessons do find a way of returning.  We truly ARE trying to learn them, and let them go.  But, damn.  Often, they feel like barnacles that just won’t come off!

For me, I’ve begun to understand the limits and restrictions.  I’m sure you have, as well.  Some of my personal challenges are computering and technology.

Another, is dealing with family relationships, or on the random occasion, co-workers.  I struggle to not take pretty much EVERYthing personally.  (But that’s back to the Letting Go………)

I make my valid attempts, I set aside my bias, I honestly do give all that I have.  And mostly, that is the best way.  Other times, I turn away in disappointment.

It’s very much about our own Acceptance and Attitude, I have come to know that, at least.  Which, after a lifetime of rage, allowing that to fall away, is a nice gentle feeling.

Our message, right now, is entirely in the card.  We can share, and then we can let those gifts drop wherever they are needed.  We do not need to worry about the results.  We live in a genuine way, how others receive that, is not our concern.

“Sharing of Yourself

‘I am an incredibly generous being.’

Share who you are with others.  Give what you have, what you do, and who you are.  Be generous.

The more freely and fully you share of yourself, the more freely and fully the Universe will give to you.

The Universe wants you to know:

you need to share from the depth of your soul.  Allow others to see your essence and feel your radiance.

If you give with the thought that it’s something you must do as a duty or a sacrifice, you may feel depleted.

However, if you give with the belief that there is no scarcity of energy, or funds, or joy, the Universe will pour an abundance of these things into your life.

Don’t expect to receive something in return – rather, be generous just because it feels right.

You can only give as much as your capacity to receive, so open yourself to receiving even more.

Questions to ask yourself:

how can I give even more?  What is stopping the flow within my life?  What could occur in my life if I gave without reservation?

Affirmation:

I am an incredibly generous person.”

Additional Affirmation:

It is safe for me to give and to receive,

it is safe for me to accept my gifts while staying protected from that which may cause me pain.

We recently discovered a fascinating series produced by the BBC.  Each episode features a “genius” and they tell that person’s story.  Clearly, and with historic accuracy.  Which is fun.

What is less entertaining is how so many of our great thinkers have also suffered, been misinterpreted, and never lived to see their work recognized.  I know there’s a plan, but it sometimes makes me sad.

Like how I can’t always enjoy sporting events because I don’t want any side to lose.  I wish every player and fan could come out a winner.  Is it so much to ask that we all live happily ever after?

Apparently, that’s not what we’re here for.  Which, as I said, I know.  But the knowing doesn’t much alleviate the struggle, some days.

Directly from the Universe, to me and you, here’s where to turn:

rise above.

My mother, and niece, and I are what people call “women of strong faith” even though none of us are remotely religious.  We believe, we know, we entirely feel in a spiritual way.  So, when challenges arise, roadblocks appear, we seek answers.

My own recent medical and work situation has caused me to really search for meaning.  It’s been difficult.  Daily.

Which makes this message so much more meaningful, on a personal level, but also on a global one.  We are being instructed to find our detours.  Go around, move past, let go, and yes….. rise above.

To do this, we have to focus.  Then, we have to walk away.  We can’t spend time suffering or whining, or screaming at problems.  Because in truth, there are no problems.  Merely lessons that we haven’t quite figured out.  Yet.

Here’s an old Doreen affirmation that I feel will help us:

My heart, my mind, my life, and everyone in it are perfectly at peace right now.

no such thing as problems

To rise, and go above

Repair, restore, rebuild.

This week marks my ten year blogaversary.  I began here, a decade ago, to make sense of my sister’s death.  As a place for thoughts, feelings, and later, messages.

It has served that purpose, plus so much more.  I have no plans to stop showing up, whether I have readers or not (although, I truly hope I do).  It’s worth my time to sit down, contemplate, type, and ultimately, share.

My mother told me once, at a major turning point in her life, that she felt the perfect imagery (she could see it clearly in her mind’s eye), was the slow changing of a page, the folding flip of paper, as it turned over, marking the end of one chapter, beginning of another.

I feel that now, as we transition into a new week, a new month, a new year, and no doubt, a new decade.  I hear the Universe tell us that this movement, this marking of time is

healing.

The recovery and restoration has begun.  We may now go forward, wounded and wearing our scars proudly.  We may move on to the next chapter, the next path.

We have learned, we have grown, and we have traveled so very far.  We are always better for surviving.  And if all we did was make it through this particular day, well, that is an accomplishment.  One we won’t diminish.

Thank you, for taking this trip with me.  I appreciate you, and treasure your presence.

healing

May we all find peace.

May we all heal.

Winter Wishes

I hope whatever holiday you celebrate(d) was/is filled with light and joy.

I hope if you do not celebrate, that your days are comfortable and kind.

I hope, for all of us, that 2018 is more positive, more loving, and all ’round better than the one we’re in now.

I hope all of us remember that this chosen life of ours is a journey, not a race.

I hope we all treasure every step, and the quiet pauses which fall between them.

I hope each and every one of us go into tomorrow, and all the tomorrow’s following, with health, prosperity, and love.

             Be Well,

from me to you.
