Gratitude Attitude Return

We are encouraged, through uncountable religious, belief systems, and spiritual paths, to Be In The Moment.  To sit in a state of grace.  To appreciate our small gifts.

And truthfully?  They’re right.  We absolutely should.  We absolutely need to count our blessings and not our problems.  We absolutely have to spend more time being thankful and less time complaining.

The trick is, to do it.  To capture those:

Precious Moments.

It is (like so damn many other aspects of this long, arduous, strange journey) simple.  But not necessarily easy.

I did some of it today, though.  I sat.  I breathed.  I rocked.  I held my grandbaby.  I stopped time for those brief and beautiful never-to-be-captured-again fleeting moments.

It is Self-Care of the highest order.  It is about taking the time to NOT notice time.  It’s good for us.  And sometimes, that’s the best thing.

To perfectly personify this generosity of the soul, we have an ideal validation on our card altar right now.

“Generosity  ~  St Nicholas of Myra

You are being asked to start or continue giving time, money, assistance, or goods.  This act helps you know how much you have, and leads to a feeling of abundance that automatically attracts greater prosperity into your life.

The more you give, the more you will receive.  Contribute with joy and be totally detached from the outcome of your offering.  St Nicholas reminds us of the happiness we receive when we give to others, from the spirit of love.

Allow yourself to be surprised at how the universe gives back to you.”

is this affirmation.

i deserve the best

I deserve the best.

And I accept the best now.

I am mentally and emotionally equipped to enjoy a prosperous and loving life.

It is my birthright to deserve all good.

I claim my good.

I deserve the best.

And I accept the best now.

  1. “The trick is, to do it.” THAT is the biggy. THAT is what always winds up on the sidelines. I won’t tell you how long I’ve NOT been doing that. No, I won’t. Let’s just say it’s been awhile. But the New Year has slowly been poking at me and the past 6 weeks or so I’ve been trying to take those moments every day. And “Be In The Moment” has been popping up all over the place. And now here as well :). So here I go, one foot in front of the other….
