When my witchlings were young children a very wise parent friend of ours told us about picking our battles. Yes, I’ve referred to this example before, but it’s part of what we need to hear today.
For a two or three year old, saying “clean your room” can be overwhelming. Instead, give them a choice of not many things they can start with, like, “would you rather begin with socks or books?”
They select one and that’s where the focus goes. Then, we move on to the next item. And work on getting those to their proper places. That’s how the room gets straightened up and no one has to lie on the floor in a puddle of tears and frustration. (Neither mom nor kid.)
The Universe is suggesting that it’s not necessary for us to feel like an overly tired toddler. We have . . . . .
All The Choices
We need only pick one, and that can be our starting point. One at a time, one step, one choice.
Remember the Blondie song lyrics, “anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any how” and the way ALL possibilities were listed? That’s it, those are all of our options. We can see them, and select the appropriate one.
We have ALL the avenues open to us right now. If that feels overwhelming, just take it simply and make a choice. Then, we can go back later, and get another one.
The limitations we tend to believe in are not true. That’s where we get hung up. There is no end to the choices we can have and select from. There is no end to the opportunities available to us.
It’s up to us to grab the one we think will suit us best, first. Then, we can get another one, later.
On our card altar we are reminded of last week’s draw, where Courage and Honesty are evident. But now, the validation of today’s message is added to the mix. (Nice blend, I thought.)
“The Rebel ~ IV ~ Major Arcana
The powerful and authoritative figure in this illustration is clearly the master of his own destiny. On his shoulder is an emblem of the sun, and the torch he holds in his right hand symbolizes the light of his own hard-won truth.
Whether he is wealthy or poor, the Rebel is really an emperor because he has broken the chains of society’s repressive conditioning and opinions. He has formed himself by embracing all the colors of the rainbow, emerging from the dark and formless roots of his unconscious past and growing wings to fly into the sky.
His very way of being is rebellious – not because he is fighting against anybody or anything, but because he has discovered his own true nature, and is determined to live in accordance with it.
The eagle is his spirit animal, a messenger between earth and sky.
The Rebel challenges us to be courageous enough to take responsibility for who we are and to live our truth.”

is this view from the Murphy’s Paw Grand Opening earlier today.
As family and friends, we could not be more proud of all that they’ve accomplished in such a short time. The future is most certainly bright.
