As we near the end of another calendar year (which is really just an arbitrary grab of made-up time), the reviews and countdowns and resolutions begin showing up. I’ve mentioned before how much I dislike these forced traditions.
They seem to be created for failure. Now, if we were encouraged to seek out our most accomplished quiet moments, well. Maybe I’d be more on board.
But as it stands, I’m not a fan. And what I heard upon entering my meditation space earlier seems to be in agreement.
Not before or after.
This is similar to our recent message of The Here And Now. It’s about being in the present. It’s about Being. Truly and simply. To the best of our ability.
I’m showing you this draw here because it is so incredibly validating, we need to talk about it as we go along.
“The Knight of Rainbows ~ Slowing Down ~ Mastery of the Physical
The Knight of Rainbows is a reminder that, just like this tortoise, we carry our homes with us wherever we go. There is no need to hurry, no need to seek shelter elsewhere.
Even as we move into the depths of the emotional waters, we can remain self-contained and free from attachments.
It is a time when you are ready to let go of any expectations you have had about yourself or other people, and to take responsibility for any illusions you might have been carrying.
There is no need to do anything but rest in the fullness of who you are right now…..”
Who we are right now. Not only do we need to be here in the Now, but we need do nothing more than be ourselves.
“Past Lives ~ XVIII ~ Major Arcana (reversed)
The two rainbow lizards on either side represent knowing and not-knowing. They are the guardians of the unconscious, making sure that we are prepared for a vision that might otherwise be shattering.
A glimpse into the eternity of our existence is a gift, and understanding the function of karma in our lives is not something that can be grasped at will.
This is a wake-up call; the events in your life are trying to show you a pattern as ancient as the journey of your own soul.”
A wake-up call. In which we’ve heard the alarm go off, but we keep banging the Snooze button. We know where we’re supposed to be going, we just can’t afford the gas to get there.
We will though. Eventually we’ll have what we need. As long as we remember to stay present. Not crying over the past, not reaching for the future.
Here. Now. Not before, not after. Just us, being ourselves. Right here. Right now.

was really yesterday. Eight years, in this spot, my little corner of the internet. Blogging, visiting, writing, channeling, sharing.
It feels like less and it feels like more, but somehow, it doesn’t feel like 8.
