Higher Education

Everywhere I’ve been lately, all I’m hearing is how advancement of knowledge is vital.  As a life-long learner, I couldn’t agree more.

The trick is to aim our student-ness in the proper direction, figure out what we need to be seeking further edification in or about.

Keep Learning

It’s often easiest to let the Universe know that we’ve received this message, and wait for our study materials (and instructors) to arrive.  (Mine appear in a variety of ways.)

None of these signs or symbols are random, always there is order and reason.  We just don’t see it, or maybe we’re not looking for it.  When it’s time for us to proceed with our scholarly pursuits, then that is the perfect time.

If nothing shows up, well then, it’ll make itself known exactly when it’s supposed to.  Our topic and moment will be here, we just have to stay open and aware for the arrival.

Like this ideally appropriate messenger.  As we return to our regular rotation around the card altar, we have been given a tutor.  Air is the Tarot element of the Mind, all things that fly and soar and move silently from here to there.

draig-athar

“Air Dragon  ~  Draig-athar  (pronounced as Draig-a-ur)

Inspiration, Insight, Vitality

The card shows one of the dragons of Beli flying high over the magical city of Dinas Affaraon in Snowdonia.  In the distance a bolt of lightening reminds us that Draig-athar is one of the servant of the Sky God.

Coming into contact with the air dragon can be as a bolt of lightning to the psyche and intellect – and as such must be treated with care and considerable respect.  Sometimes manifesting as sudden flashes of illumination, Draig-athar brings insight and clarity to your thoughts and imagination.

As conveyor of numinous power, the air dragon can be seen as a symbol of visitation – for he is a messenger of the Sky God.”

Today’s Sharing:

is to say that my beloved and most wonderful son recently returned from a trip to Mexico.

peso

It’s blue!

Being the phenomenally generous individual that he is, he intended to purchase some awesomely beautiful gift items for me and his sisters.

Then.  He forgot.  And now, he’s back home.  So, he gave me that, instead.  (I do love me a peso or 20……….)

  1. Have our schools teach that learning is the goal, rather than rote memorization of certain facts? What a concept! Have the desire to learn more be a valued idea rather than being proud to have never opened a book when mandatory schooling is done? Huh. I could go into a personal rant about this, but suffice to say, I am delighted to have the desire to learn more about stuff. And how cool is an Air Dragon, anyway!!
