Yes, it’s now officially December, 12th month. A time of year when stress can sometimes get ramped up. Not because we want it to, but because we feel we can’t help it.
Actually…… we CAN. Help it, that is. De-stress. Step away. Release. Relax. Receive. But we have to start close to home. Within, before we can let the calm ripple out.
This morning I was reminded that in the early days of us being people who lived in communities, we went indoors at this time of year. We gathered around our hearths and we kept each other company.
We crafted, we built, and we created during those long dark months. What we DIDN’T do was travel huge distances and put pressure on ourselves to do better, buy more, and eat less.
The Universe wants us to remember those times of calm. Those days of womb-like rejuvenation and clan care.
Can we take it easy in this modern era? Oh, hell yeah, we can! But we need to make it a priority. When we begin with Self-Care, focusing on the positive, we are already removing ourselves from the stress inducing mind-set.
Keep those words at the ready. When/If the “holiday” rush and crush is creeping up into no-longer-any-fun, pull them out. Wave them around. We can use them to shield ourselves from negativity. Gently and Kindly.
And as we return to our regular rotation around the card altar today, we are being handed a variation of our on-going theme regarding: Acceptance.
A good way to view this together is that, yes, it’s a time of year when sometimes we’ve been overwhelmed (in the past). But NOW, we won’t be. We’ll accept where we are, and we’ll look for the joy in it. Or, at the very least, we won’t collapse under the weight of it.
‘Adapt and survive by accepting the inevitable and seizing potential.’
Mistress of diversity, Frog conforms seamlessly and ingeniously to her environment. If she has leaped into your cards, your strategy must also be to adapt and survive.
Sometimes life moves inexorably on and nothing we can do will change events or alter fate. Frog counsels that for now, it is wise to accept the inevitable while maximizing even the tiniest of possible advantages.
That way you grow strong in the face of adversity and may influence events when opportunity arises.”

is for my son. He replaced my stolen bike lights. Plus, he also replaced my broken bike seat. And, he bought his dad some new socks and sale coffee.
Thank you, J.D., again. Even though you and your sisters no longer read my posts, I’m being grateful here, for the entire Universe to witness.
