Abundance Happens

New day, new month.  When it gets to July, then I feel like we’ve hit true summer.  (And today, with near-record-setting heat for my bike ride, I absolutely FELT every bit of it.)

Let’s get right to our message, which arrived (I was told) in the form of this month’s calendar page.  (I just go where I’m directed with these things, and today, all we needed to hear about was this.  Apparently.)

I give myself permission to prosper.

I give myself permission to prosper.

“I recognize prosperity everywhere.

Begin to recognize prosperity everywhere, and rejoice in it.  Allow fancy homes and banks and fine stores and showrooms of all sorts to give you pleasure.  Recognize that all this is part of YOUR abundance, and you are increasing your consciousness to partake of these things if you desire.

We don’t want someone else’s good.  We want to have our own good.  And yet we do not own anything.  We only use possessions for a period of time until they pass on to someone else.  Sometimes a possession may stay in a family for a few generations, but eventually it will pass on.

There is a natural rhythm and flow of life.  Things come, and things go.  I believe that when something goes, it is only to make room for something new and better.”

Today’s Sharing:

is this phone photo from my every-six-months (bi-annual?) hair trim.

Remember when it was just one inch long all over my head?

Remember when it was just one inch long all over my head?

I’m cataloging these pictures, some time I’ll gather them all for a slideshow to demonstrate the progress.  Then, when it’s been another five years, I’ll give it away and start all over again.

  1. “We don’t want someone else’s good”. Profound!

I know, isn’t that the greatest way to put it?!

  2. Yikes! July means 1/3 of ‘summer’ is over with already! *sniffle* Where has it gone? I haven’t even gone to the lake yet! (What’s wrong with me? *shakes head*)

But it also means the Tour de France! 21 days of awesome bike racing! I haven’t been able to find the link for paying for online access yet, though. (I have basic basic cable, so no sports channels). Usually it is up on NBC’s sports page. And the race starts SATURDAY! I might be able to watch it on Eurosport if they don’t geo-restrict it, but I’d have to watch in real time and they generally only show the last 2 hours. Ugh, waaay too early. But, of course, this is Le Tour so I’ll take what I can get. You can tell where my mind is at. 😀

Looking at my comment yesterday I can see where it sounded rude of my MIL. The hazards of internet chat. It was part of a larger conversation of our purpose here on earth and part of her belief that we’re all connected in some way and don’t know ‘The Big Picture’ and / or how even the smallest action may have a huge impact somewhere else. And how life isn’t always about ‘us’. She was simply giving a ‘for instance’.

No, it means we still have two-thirds of this season to enjoy……
