Look, then let go.

Our messages today have a fictional and factual quality to them.  All at the same time.  Which turned out to be quite interesting.

I woke up hearing the affirmation from last week about releasing what no longer serves.   And then, knew exactly what words to apply for the images I was shown.

Sift and sort.

Which is coming out as similar to the reminder for us to only carry our own sticks, not the burdens of everyone else.  In this case, we are still toting around extra crap, and it’s mostly our own.

As we can plainly see in our daily draw.  The underlying topic is still about release.

robin wood tarot, 8 of swords

8 of Swords

The colors and metallic quality of this illustration make it one of my favorites.   The red of the her binding practically jumps out of the card.  Also, there’s the deep-and-earthy-blended-with-jewel-tones on her Sword handles.

In fact, let’s talk Swords.  The mind, thinking, anything written or distinctly brain-oriented.  Of the Air.  Cutting, like a feather through the wind.  Legal documents and the spoken word.

Eight, on its side the Infinity symbol.  Continuous and on-going.  Ever spiraling, going around and never stopping, no beginning – no end.  Cyclically moving, moving.  Like seasons or minutes or tides.

All of this speaks of life patterns and continuation.   But it also shows us that we are not as bound to these as we think we are.  Or, as we have been TOLD we are.  We are free to step out, away from what is holding us back.  Willingly and deliberately.

Look at the bold rays of sunlight, breaking out of those clouds behind her head.  A new day is struggling to be seen and noticed.  As is our inner self.  We need do nothing more than drop the blindfold and see what’s important   Then, walk towards it.  Lightly and with no burdens.

  3. I’ve always connected with this card, possibly because of that bound aspect. It’s a beautiful card. I shall endeavor to let go of my burdens today.
