Clearly ourselves, inside, out, and away.

Sometimes it happens that we’re the one blocking our own forward progress.  As that suggestion from the Universe a few days back mentioned, we need to get out of our heads in order to move along on our path.

This is entirely what the message turned out to be for us this afternoon.  Ironically enough, I had to get past MY own personal crap in order to see it.  (Always an amusing situation.)

The small (and usually ridiculous) details will often hang us up, littering our path so that we can’t see the big picture.  It’s like we don’t even realize we’ve built our own obstacles until we’re so boarded in by them that we can’t move.

Here’s the words which finally materialized out of all those views and scenes I was shown:

step up,  step way,  step out.

Clearing away the debris, stepping over and past our blockages, firmly back on to our path can be simple or it can be complicated.  The difference will be if we are willing to let go of what we formerly perceived as so freaking important that we had to hang on with a death-grip.

You know the saying about don’t sweat the small stuff and it’s all small stuff?  Keep that in  mind.  We sometimes have difficulty knowing what is small stuff, and then letting go of it.  Naturally, that’s what needs to be done the most.

I was directed to leave our regular rotation around the card altar, immediately as I entered the room (to scribble down and corral the scattered notes in my head).  Look at what appeared, this is our answer.

higher consciousness, oracle cards, healing with the fairies

 “Higher Consciousness  ~

You are receiving guidance from your true self, your higher consciousness, which is one with Divine universal wisdom.

You are listening to love rather than fear.

This card is a validation that your recent feelings, thoughts, dreams, and aspirations are coming from Spirit.  You have been asking for Divine guidance, and your higher self has answered your prayers.  Your spiritual path has helped you hear this voice because you’ve taken the time to listen . . . . .

Now the fairies ask you to keep having conversations with your higher consciousness.   This will involve carving out time away from noise and stress . . . .

By quieting your mind, the voice of your higher consciousness becomes increasingly loud and clear.  It guides you perfectly through all life areas.

Affirmation:

I easily hear and understand the inner voice of Spirit.”

Today’s Sharing:

is a gem that I found, practically in my own backyard.  (Okay, fine.  It’s technically uphill from our FRONTyard.  Whatever.)

My lunch.

My lunch. Plus grapes.
(I did not eat all of this. I saved some for Dan.

Baba ganoush, organic (fresh!) hummus, pita chips (that they make on-site daily), dried fruit with nuts dipped in white chocolate, a delightful sampling of Turkish apricots, and one cone of nut-corn mix.

Pacific Northwest people, listen up!  Go there (also HERE and HERE).  Tell your friends.  They have two locations (sometimes three, when the Eugene mall kiosk is operational), one in Portland and the other is just a few doors down from the 40th Ave Safeway.

I stopped in after pool class tonight and ended up taking home “on the house” treats to review.   My honest opinion?  You’ve never had this type of food this good before.  Not even kidding.  It’s fresh, it’s responsible, and it’s amazing.

Not only is this a local, genuinely conscientiousness small business, but these folks know their shit.  They roast their nuts right there.  And craft WAY more selections than I could tote home in one trip.

My review?  Excellent!   Every bit of it.  I’ll be going back.  A.  Lot.

Quick Shakespearean Aside, regarding something specific about the above food.  I was thinking recently that I probably didn’t like eggplant, because the past few dishes I’ve tasted it in were not fabulous.  Baba ganoush IS eggplant, and this guy roasts his.  That, I apparently like.

  1. Don’t you just love having to wander through your own personal crap? I sure don’t…

Like the card and message today. Listening out of love rather than fear is always a good idea.

….. and then it spilled into the next day as well.

  2. Feeling so buried under my own crap I can’t see the light of day. Trying, trying, trying. I, too, like the idea of listening out of love rather than fear.

And I wish your cool food place was open up here! Of course, I haven’t been adventurous looking for food, what with my money trickling away. But eventually. I hope.

Adventurous in food has nothing to do with money, I barely spent 4 bucks (half of that was in change). It’s about going out and talking to people. 😉
    (Which is still free.)

  3. Ah, personal crap. Eww.

I envy you your culinary adventures. After I spent so many years on antibiotics, occasionally steroids, etc…, my digestive system just has never been the same. Adventures can only be taken when I’ll be home the next day. Just in case. Lucky You! (have some for me)

I do feel very lucky, I’ve always been able to eat pretty much anything (when I ate regularly, that is). It’s the letting go that’s a serious and horrible problem.
