Before I get started on today’s messages, I’d like to share a recent post written by our very own Kewl Kate over at her place.  She’s talking about Happiness, and I am über pleased to join in.

One of the spiraling-upwards levels of atunement is the acceptance (and then sharing out) of the Universal concept: Love~Joy~Peace.   This idea is much like striving to live in lovingkindness.  The more we do it, the more we spend time in it, the more natural it becomes.

Our goal in this life is to live lovingly and learn a lot.  Beginning the new year out with Happiness, Love~Joy~Peace, and lovingkindness couldn’t be any more perfectly aimed in the right direction.

What I woke up with this afternoon is not far from these ideas, and yet it can feel miles away.

Being pack animals, you would think that we might not need our alone-time.  And yet, we really really do.  Especially during creative moments.

When we “are alone” is far different from being “lonely” or “lonesome.”  Solitude is the conscious choice to spend time in our own company.  An option we sometimes forget that we have available to us.

Whether in prayer, meditation, quiet contemplation, explosive crafting jags, doesn’t matter, as long as we take those moments and utilize them mindfully.  Writing?  Creating?  Maybe simply enjoying the scenery.  Grab those times.  And be fully in them.

They can be mystical, amazing, and festive, just as our daily draw shows.

“Believing in Magic  ~

True magic is abounding in my life!

Card meaning:

It is indeed a magical Universe.  Spiritual dimensions and mystical realms are only a thought away.  The key to opening these doors is to trust in something you cannot see or hear.

You can have doubts yet still believe in a vast and mysterious universe, where signs, symbols, and coincidences reveal secret messages.  Even if your faith is the size of a mustard seed, magic can abound.  Believe!

The Universe wants you to know:

Some things are true, even if you don’t believe them.  It’s hard to comprehend how something as heavy as a jumbo jet can fly, but it does.  When you make an overseas call, it’s hard to believe that your voice travels into space and bounces back, but it does.

And it’s sometimes hard to believe that angels are looking over us, but they are.  Here’s to believing in magic.

Questions to ask yourself:

How can I access even more magic in my life?  What is the most important way for me to step into true magic?  If I truly believed in magic, in what ways would my life be different?

True magic is abounding in my life!”

I have only a few issues with this one, but they are so minor I’m not even going to mention them.  They’re a matter of overlypicky details, so I let them go and move on.

I move on into the message itself,  because it’s an outstanding one.  We can Magickally be ourselves, whether with others, or in our own space.

is more music, but in an all together different direction than the last one.  Go HERE and see this guy’s site.  I’ve been listening to his YouTube recordings for a few days now, and so far I’ve loved every single one.

You know how I am about tunes with no words?  Well this is everything I’ve ever wanted.  (With the exception of one CD that a beautiful friend made  [over a year ago!]  for me, special.  That one remains my favorite of all time.)

  1. Thanks for the link to Kate’s post. I followed it through to the article she linked to and one of the things that struck a cord was being unable to remember being happy. Which, of course, leads to -not- doing the things that would make you happy. It’s just too much work on top of what you’re dealing with. A nasty circle. And that has soooo been life here since this summer. I’m dragging like dirt. So time to be proactive about raising serotonin levels to get myself out of the gutter. Even though it sounds exhausting. 😦 🙂

And here’s to bringing magick back into my life! I’ve definitely been ignoring that as well.

Yup, whether you believe you can or you can’t, it’s true.

  2. I see what you mean by some synchronicity in our posts. I think Kewl Kate’s post also took root in there somewhere. Maybe it’s the communal belief that a new year has begun that has triggered new topics, new beliefs.

And Magic/Magick, like religion, is subject to individual interpretation and experience. 🙂

    Individual interpretation and experience, exactly.
And since I’ve individually experienced real live Magick, on more occasions than I can count, I believe in it.
