Tomorrow, before pool class, I have one last errand for the mall job.  Then, I’m done.  This afternoon we packed up the glass and I sent in the last payroll.  Interestingly enough, our regional supervisor said that every one of his managers had advised him that they won’t be back next year.

Huh.  Not just me, then.   Good to know.  But not sure it will change my mind.  Just not sure in the least.

What I woke up with today, and what our daily draw suggests, leans toward my original answer of no.  However, we don’t rule anything out.  (We just HOPE for better news and fiscal independence.)

Individual strength.

As we’ve been discussing our Tribal importance lately, we can’t forget the value of our own unique gifts and  assets.  Because while our Pack does need us, and us them, in the end we are still distinctly our own person.

What makes our soul different from everyone else’s are qualities that we carry from life to life.  The outer body changes, but the essence of who we are does not.  If we ever find ourselves feeling “lost” it’s best to simply sit and tune back in to that original self.

This also feels like a reminder of keeping up with the all important Self-Care.  The cards thought so, too.

“Tranquility  ~

Make time to relax, be still, and enjoy your solitude, indulging in much-needed self-care.

This card asks you to take a break from your harried schedule.  Soaking or swimming in salty water creates a magical electric energy shift in your body.  The salt draws out emotional and physical toxins.

Purchase sea salt from your local health-food store’s spice section, and pour lots of the salt and fragrant essential oils into your warm bathwater.  Be sure to immerse your chest and heart chakra under the water as you soak in the tub in order to release toxic emotions.

Burn a white candle near your bathtub.  As you look at the flickering light, think about what you want.  The white candlelight amplifies your thoughts and feelings, so think about your desires and not your fears.  Let the saltwater wash away any doubts that could block your manifestation.  Ask the candle to illuminate your mind with faith and positive exceptions.

Enjoy this relaxation time, and have faith that your prayers have been heard and are being answered.”

While I realize that many of us may not be in a situation to do this exact thing (me included), we can all work towards something similar, something accessible to us.  As Individuals.

I’m thinking that I’ll do it in two parts, the water while I’m in the pool.  And the candle while I’m listening to wave sounds with headphones (like I have going right this second from THIS PLACE).

We (the mermaids and I) are encouraging everyone to get there in some fashion.   Even if it’s just those Three Quick Minutes squeezed someplace in your day.  The physical elements are important, but not as important as the mental ones.

  1. Weellll, maybe, just maybe, the fact that everyone quit this year will be a wake up call to these people and they’ll get back to the people part of the job. Yeah, I know, pie-in-the-sky thinking. People are just expendable, throw away items for so many businesses these days. It’s soooo sad we’ve come to this.

Sort of off topic, with both my kids in college we were discussing resumes. In this day and age, it is no longer in your favor to have spent more than 5 years with any one company. Can you believe it?!! *shakes head*

Now don’t fall off your chair, but just right now, I kinda wish I could soak in a salty bath. However, the tiles have been falling off the walls (house built in the 60’s) and I’ve got garbage bags taped over the walls so we can get a shower. Not some place you could relax in. But, still, I actually would have considered a salty bath! It just sounds so much more appealing than a regular bath. Which, of course, I don’t do.

On a side note, someone told me that you can still use herbs that you would put in your bath, in the shower. You can chop them up and put them in a bit of cloth and tie them so they hang under the shower head so the water runs over them. If they’re fragrant herbs, like eucalyptus, you can drop them by your feet and squish them from time to time and the steam will bring the scent up. I haven’t tried this yet, but it sounds interesting don’t you think?

  2. A bath sounds lovely. And a candle. And some bath salts. : )
Robin, I love the idea of the herb bag for the shower. must think on that.

Muslin tea bags are perfect for the herbal shower idea.

  3. I would love a bath in any kind of water! Of course, I’ve kind of just done this. My friend Skye (yes, it can get confusing) took me to hydrotherapy again with her Saturday evening. Two and a half hours of soaking in hot and cool tubs, and steaming in wet and dry saunas, scrubbing down with sea salts, showering off, and drinking tea and eating cookies. And lots of excellent conversation. I felt renewed.

Robin: I love the herb/salt bag idea! As there is no way I would take a bath in the place I’m at, I would do the herbs/salt in a shower.

Julie, I like what you said about the Tribe and the Pac and the Individual. For some reason it’s really resonating with me right now and setting off tinkling chimes of ideas in my head. Thanks!

    Very welcome. 😀

    Also, you were precognitivally bathing!
