Coming Out The Other Side, with Compassion.

There is a fine balance, with this path we’re on.  We know that Self-Care is vital, but we also need to be aware of swinging too far into the direction of conceit.

Whatever we  do it’s best to do it with…….

grace

and no ego.

Leaving out any sign of arrogance, we should definitely still be proud of our accomplishments.  We just can’t get all braggy about them.  Which is where the state of grace comes in.

When we are gracious, we are also being generous.  It’s a tough lesson for some of us to learn (me!) so this reminder is certainly welcome.  As is our daily draw.

Here, as I was directed to leave our regular rotation, we have a messenger that is not only timely for our thoughts today, but also where we are astrologically and on the calendar.

goddess of the unknown, new chapters, oracle cards

“Goddess Of The Unknown  ~

A new chapter of your life is around the corner;

remove fear & embrace the unknown.

Only through the darkness of night are we able to see the beautiful tapestry of light which stems from the stars above us.

This card is here to help you ease your fears about the future and of the unknown.  Even though you presently cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel, you are being urged by the Goddess to trust.  You are always on the right path even when you think you’ve strayed completely off it.

A major chapter in the story of your life has recently come to a close and an exciting new chapter is about to begin.  Through the current emptiness, the seeds of a fertile new future sprout through   Soon, you will see the light shining as brightly as ever.”

Angels, Gods, and Goddess Oracle Cards by Toni Carmine Salerno

Today’s Newness:

is THIS stack of cards that I recently acquired   I’ve also got the book, which I haven’t had time to read yet.  Next week, when the booth closes down, I’ll go through it and share my findings.  As well as the gorgeous illustrations.  I’m thinking we may do this as a course study kind of thing, in order of how the deck is created and set up.

  1. Really a great card/message combination for today. I read recently sort of a “this, not that” meme that really fits this particular lesson. Confidence, not arrogance; knowledge, not conceit and two others that I can’t remember. Looking forward to the new deck!

    Very nice:
    confidence, not arrogance.

  2. Ooooooo, DEFINITELY cannot wait for your input on the new deck. I keep seeing this deck but have heard mixed things about it. So I keep waffling. And, of course, it’s not like I -need- a new deck. 🙂 (It’s kinda like an addiction of sorts… shiny!)

And I know you’re going to be making faces at me, but I really don’t need an exciting new chapter in my life right now. I’ve currently got more “excitment” than I want to deal with. Can I put in an order for peace and quiet?

It won’t be ME making faces……

  3. What a lovely card and message. After all of the noise and crazy-making stuff of the Holidays this feels peaceful. Much needed. : )

This used to be a nice quiet time of year, until commercialism and our consumer culture took over.
Now we have to work at putting that back into our lives.

  4. I’m looking forward to a new chapter, exciting or not. I need change (I can’t believe I’m saying that). I need change for the better!

Your new deck looks lovely. Can’t wait to read your take on it. Also, I’ve been looking at a deck that is completely round, but am not sure. I don’t know how to judge non-traditional tarot decks.

    ~
    You judge it by asking,
    do I like it?”

    If the answer is yes,
    then buy it.
