Judge not, love much. And bundle up!

Today it took The Deputy nearly two full hours to get his patrol car out of our driveway.  And there wasn’t any safe way for me to travel in the mall direction.  Our Empress, however, absolutely did make it to work.

My channeled messages didn’t take the day off though (no one did, some of us just worked from home).  It has a deceptively simple quality to it, one that didn’t escape my notice.  But, it’s deeper than it looks.

Be enthusiastic,

but also cautious.

Does anyone really love a zealot?  Not usually.  We’re being advised to stay towards the middle of the road here.  (I know, so many of us are definitely Low Roaders……)

For now, let’s keep our overly dramatic-ness to ourselves.  As the Ice Queen said yesterday, until it’s time to thaw, anyway.  Also, the messenger from our daily draw is a good example of this idea.

fairy messages, romance, oracle cards

“Romantic Partner  ~

A new romance is coming your way.  Either a new partner, or a revival of passion in an existing relationship, will delight you now or in the near future.

By drawing this card, the fairy realm wants you to know that a new wave of romance is coming your way.  Romance could manifest itself in a number of delightful forms, such as meeting a new partner who makes your heart sing with excitement and passion, or a rejuvenation of a waning romance with a current love.  Perhaps, the new romance will take the form of an exciting getaway……

Fairies love romance, and they know the importance of feeling passion in a relationship.  Ask them to help you with imaginative ideas to create more romance in your life.  They remind you that romance is a state of mind, and it involves playfulness and creativity.

Sometimes when we’re stressed, we crave romance the most, yet we may not know how to experience romance.  Let the fairies help you relax, allowing an inflow of romantic ideas to easily come to your mind, and also giving you the energy to put them into action and enjoy them to the utmost.

Affirmation:

I am a romantic person.  I release any fears I may have about giving or receiving love.”

Remember, stay calm.  No loud guffawing, no eye rolling, no heavy sighing, no muppet-flailing about; nothing over the top.  Let’s just accept this as it sits.  Repeat the affirmation with trust and love in our hearts.  Then, move forward.

will be my view from right before we went to bed last night (technically this morning, according to clocks and shit).

Pinkey protecting the front deck.

And then, what we could see out the back when I got up .  (There’s some Instagram shots, too.)

And it's coming down again. Some more.

And it’s coming down again. Some more.

Stay safe and warm, everybody.  I’ll be here, stuck in The Hovel, with Maxx.  In our jammies.

  1. Wow! That’s some snow. It’s even really cold here in the desert and I heard we’re getting snow in the San Bernadinos today. Brrrr. Stay safe.

Funny story, my mom’s relatives were the among the very first settlers in that area. From Spain!

  2. Cripes. You’ve got more snow than I do! (But then we’ve got nothing, so….)

    Stay safe & warm!

  3. Pretty snowy at our place, too. I would have parked the patrol rig on the street…if I still had a patrol rig to park. (The Deputy should ask 08-10 about that…) I did get out yesterday, to get the programs printed for Tuba Christmas, which got postponed while I was at the printers. Mary took me about in the Lumbering Beast (her 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser) for which I was grateful. Little 4×4 pickup didn’t have weight in the back.

I think that the Mrs. and I might have brought this card back with us…

  4. Snow. Ugh. I am not a fan. It’s definitely more than cold enough up here, but luckily for me it’s too dry. So while all my skin may dry up and flake off, I will at least not have to panic about snow and ice! Yet ….

Very nice message, VERY nice card! (Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!) I’d like to have romance … and SEX … again before I dry up and blow away! 😀

  5. From what I’m hearing you guys got more than your ‘normal’ annual snow fall out there all at once. Do you have snow tires? Chains? Plows? I’m curious how you all handle it out there ’cause you’re not in the snow belt. I know that kinda snow shuts down Washington, D.C. completely. I mean – everything – . Which, of course, just makes us laugh. You would think the US Gov’t would have a back up plan. But, back to point, what’s the plan for you all?

We do get snow and ice regularly, just not this much all at once…..

So yeah, chains, snow-tires, plows, salt/gravel, de-icers, whatever everybody else has.

  6. So after they went and changed around my Dashboard, I decided to get bold and daring. First, I changed the colors to my Dashboard (purple, green, and something…) and then I decided to go wading through the tutorials now that some of that would actually sound like English to me. Did you know that if you put more than 15 Catagories plus Tags on your post that it won’t list on the WordPress Topics pages? I did not know this. You like to tag your posts, too, so I thought I’d toss this your way just in case you didn’t know either.

Always share this shit with me, I never know what’s going on. Thanks!

    • You’re braver than I am. I am the Webmaster (Apprentice) for the Oregon Tuba Association, and I run our website off of WordPress. I have been trying to keep the website uncluttered, so I haven’t run into the 15 yet. If you want to give feedback, we are at http://www.oregontuba.org and I really wouldn’t mind input.
