Brrrrr doesn’t even come close.

Today’s message is not from me (through me, technically), but rather, Louise Hay.  My dreams were scattered and interrupted  as well as seemingly pointless.  (They weren’t really pointless, our subconscious constructs never are, but this particular lie-down did SEEM that way.)

Instead, we’ll be looking at, and reading from, my December calendar page.

We are all one.

We are all one.

“Love is stronger than differences.

We all live on the same planet.  We walk on the same earth.  We breathe the same air.

No matter where I was born, no matter what color skin I have, or what religion I was raised to believe in, everything and everyone is connected to this one life.

I no longer choose to prejudge others, to feel either superior or inferior.  I choose equality – to have warm, loving, open communication with every member of my Earth family.

I am a member of the Earth community.  Differences of opinion are wonderful, colorful varieties of expression.

Today my heart opens a little bit more as I go about creating the world I want to live in.”

Next year I might get this calender again.  Even though the art work is not my absolute favorite, the messages have been tremendously healing and beautiful.

On our card altar we have a ridiculously accurate draw, if we were measuring by only weather.

oracle cards, ice queen

“Ice Queen  ~  28  ~

ideas preserved, nonaction, entitlement

The Ice Queen has come to block your movement for your highest good.  Let your ideas be preserved until later.  You can thaw them out and use them at another time when they will best serve.

The realm of the Ice Queen is the place of nonaction, and now is a perfect time to take a look at how far you’ve come and to ask yourself for a reclarification of your highest goals.

Not all plans can be accomplished at this moment.  In fact, putting them on ice allows for the perfect timing later on.  Don’t be too hasty in trying to reach your goal.  An even better one will present itself if you surrender and spend the winter with the Ice Queen.

Perhaps too, you are trying to do too many things at once.  This is a good occasion to choose only one thing to focus on and let the Ice Queen put the others in the deep freeze until a more appropriate time.  She’ll let you know when it’s time to let them thaw.”

This doesn’t mean that we need to just sit and not move an inch.  She is talking about more mental and spiritual plans than physical ones.  Although, most of us tend to do too much at this time of year, just causing ourselves more stress than is healthy.

I’ll be paring back some of my own activities, as best as I can, on this advice.  Truthfully, I recommend that we all look at our To Do lists right now, and make some cuts.  Self-care doesn’t do us as much good if we’re only doing it half-assed.

Today’s Deck:

Wisdom Of The Hidden Realm Oracle Cards by Colette Baron-Reid

Today’s Mileage:

was only part of my day, and it was literally freezing, as in, 19 degrees outside, look over at the Instagram picture on the far left side  <————  to see how I was taking care to not lose any body parts while I pedaled 8.592 miles, in a decent 51 minutes 28 seconds, with an average pace of 10 MPH.

FLP Report:

includes the Maryland that passed me today while I was biking, and a Washington special that had square dancers on it (which we made fun of until Mike [husband of sister Barbara] found out that it’s the official state dance, of Oregon), followed by another special Washington plate (this time for the university), a single Ohio, and 2 Floridas.

  1. Yeah, Brrr doesn’t even come close. Quite a switch for us returning from Hawaii. Not complaining, however. I am somewhat surprised how excited my little kid is at the snow this morning. I sent the grownup back to bed.

Interesting card. I will think on the ice queen.

We were totally thinking of you and your “home coming” when this weather started to become a reality.

  2. I always wonder which things need to be set aside to “bake” when I get messages like this. Hmm. Have I mentioned I’m just not in great touch with my spiritual self? 🙂 Or how to set them aside, because that’s one I’m not good at.

Yeah, it’s been damned cold here, too. Ice on the windows of the cars (well, on the whole body), ice on the roads (we live on the north side of a hill, so it’s worse here), below freezing for the next several days, including highs in the teens on Sunday and Monday perhaps. Yeah, thank goodness for my friend and housemate who has bought me much warm clothing so I will be able to stay warm in this weather!

How much are you practicing this? Because the more you do it, the easier it gets. For realz.

    • Well, I’m not sure how to practice getting messages. I am doing visualizations about the now and the future nearly every morning. That’s about it.

      No, this:

“…. not in great touch with my spiritual self.”

  3. This flipping weather is making me flipping crazy. Yesterday was 55 degrees. Right now it is 35 degrees and sleeting and raining. I went out yesterday to pull the leaves off my Iris’s so they don’t rot and plant a mum before I killed it. I found one of my Iris’s attempting to put up a flower. In December. Since they only make one flower per plant, this means that plant won’t have one come spring. I am NOT a happy camper.

I absolutley love the message on your calendar page. That one is going to get copied down and, hopefully, put on ‘nice’ paper to put up. I wish I had a wand I could load with that message and just walk around zapping people with it.

Here’s the thing with weather, Robin….. it happens. Kinda one of those that we need to simply accept, and then move past. 😉

I’m sorry about your plants, though.

    • Hey! I just ran across a trivia thingy that says Oregon has the most Ghost Towns!!?? Never would have guessed that!

      ~
We have a very looooooong and severe coast-line, plus looooong and challenging rivers. Many water-related, or near-water, deaths tend to spark/accelerate spirit activity. Close to all that water was towns, some (lots, apparently) that didn’t ever flourish, and therefore were relegated to “Ghost” status.

Also, it was damn difficult to just GET over here!

    Great message from the calendar!!

I got an e-mail coupon, so I ordered it again for next year.
