Our message today is a re-run.  Or maybe it’s just something that we need to hear again?

Thank back,

feet here,

face forward.

Like the one that said to acknowledge and be grateful for all of our past lessons and blessings (but don’t dwell there), then be mindful of the Now, while planning (but not longing) for the future.  This one is basically reminding us of that concept.

The general idea is a sound one, and it feels as if we do tend to wander off topic, like lost and distracted toddlers.  (Okay, maybe that’s just me.)

On our card altar, we’ve continued around the regular rotation, to be handed a guiding light of Hope.

saints and angels messages, guiding light, st dymphna

“Emotions  ~  St Dymphna

The answer to your question involves emotions – either yours or those of the person you are inquiring about.  This is also a message for you to pay closer attention to your emotions.  It’s safe for you to admit your true feelings to yourself.

St Dymphna can help you find solutions to any emotional upsets.  She is a loving saint who specializes in helping you achieve emotional and mental health.  The lantern that she carries helps you better see where you’re going and assist you in avoiding obstacles on your path.

Allow St Dymphna to illuminate your journey.  If you  notice any unwanted patterns in your behavior, or if you’re about to sabotage yourself, call upon this powerful saint for immediate assistance.

This card is also a message for you to trust your feelings, especially as they guide you to make positive changes.   Your feelings are the voice of Heaven speaking through you, and you have a right to them, even if others disagree with them.  You can also release any upsetting emotions to God, St Dymphna, and the angels for healing and guidance.

St Dymphna (pronounced DIM-fnah) was a Celtic girl who fled her homeland …….

She is the patron saint of mental health and mental-health workers, and you can call upon her to help you, a loved one, or a client with emotional and mental upsets.”

Yeah, my shadow IS in that shot. Sister-in-law Barbara tried to help, but I was in a hurry.

We also saw several others, none of which I jotted down.  I know that one was definitely British Columbia.  (Hi Canada!!!)

That car is hella a long way from home!!! And speaking of home, Saver has returned to school safely. The total insanity of cheap plane tickets (-how-many-connecting flights?) had me sitting up waiting for her call. The airport is an hour and a half from school and she didn’t land till after midnight. Poor thing has been traveling literally all day. Thank the Universe there were no snow or storms.

Glad to hear it wasn’t only me.

We just had a conversation about traveling from Seattle to Boston, which is in the works for one of my girls and her SO. Takes longer going your direction, than it does coming over here to mine. 😕

    1. UPDATE: My poor Saver now gets AIRSICK on planes!!! So she was sick all the way out – get on the plane, get off the plane, get on the plane, get off the plane…. all day. So on the way back she sucked Dramamine two at a time all day – on/off on/off on/off….. She didn’t tell me till she got back ’cause she knew I’d worry. Poor baby.

And, yes, it was the same for Saver. Still alot of plane changes going out, but less travel time. Coming back she left 9:55 a.m your time and arrived back at school 10:43 p.m. your time. And a direct flight is what, 3 1/2 hrs? Sheesh. And tell your girl to bring food!

      Jotting this down:
      bring food!

  2. Nope, not just you. My mind wanders a bunch, and sometimes a 3 minute conversation will take half an hour.

Emotions, huh… More stuff that I am supposed to be doing. Hrumph.

“…..a 3 minute conversation will take half an hour.”

Which just says that we need to spend more time together talking.

  3. My mind wanders like crazy. Try to do visualizations? Herding cats! But my therapist/psych may end up putting me on ritalin (altho for a different reason), which could help a lot.

I’m stunned by this sentence: “It’s safe for you to admit your true feelings to yourself.” I just wrote a blog post the other night that basically communicated that I felt wrong about being sarcastic and petty inside my head and not feeling grateful when one of the housemates flies off the handle. And then the other housemate, who follows my blog and is married to the first housemate, felt I was being too “rough and unfair” toward his wife. But hell, it’s how I feel. And other folks pointed out that it’s okay to not always be “Good” inside our heads, that being sarcastic about a situation or behavior can be helpful in diverting steam and keeping me from saying something I would regret.

I think I’ll be keeping Saint Dymphna on speed dial. She’s totally the patron saint I need right now!

I was thinking of carrying her card around in my pocket!

  4. Topic? Did we have a topic? Look, a squirrel! 😉

Sometimes a topic wanders by and we notice it.
    Or not. 😛
