Still Being Us. Lather, rinse, repeat.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (is that even a phrase people use any more?), we are continuing with a theme.  Also?  Don’t blame me, I’m only the radio.  I show up here just like you guys do.

One of the shows Dan and I watch (out of not very many things that I can stand on TV) is Project Runway, and Project Runway All Stars.  We  like it because it’s so far out of our world that it almost seems unreal.  The opposite is true, in fact.

I don’t actually care, one way or the other about “reality” in reality television.  That’s not my point.  What we find enjoyable about these programs is the individualism that the designers bring to everyone who tunes in.  You can’t help but be inspired by their openness, honesty, and artistic natures.  Not to mention the garments they create out of next-to-nothing.

I know that we’ve covered this before (and covered it MORE), but it’s all part of today’s message.  Which isn’t even a string of words so much as a cloud-like gathering of an idea.

Individuality.

Being our own true selves, living genuinely as the real us is beyond important.   In order to make the most of this journey we’re on, we MUST do it with sincerity and self-care.

Back within our regular rotation around the card altar, our messenger brought the validation for all of this repetition.

druid animal messages, frog meaning

“Frog  ~  Losgann (pronounced as Loss-can)  ~

Sensitivity, Medicine, Hidden Beauty and Power

The card shows a common frog crawling from a pool in which lies frogspawn, traditionally considered powerful medicine.  To the right grows muileag – frogberry, now known as cranberry, and frog’s spindle or orchid.  To the left beneath the hanging willow leaves grow toadstool mushrooms, which were once called frogstools.

Losgann unites the elements of water and earth, bringing joy, delight, and healing in its singing and hopping, and leading you to the sacred spring from which you may be refreshed and renewed.

A cold-blooded creature living half on land and half in the water, the frog possesses an extremely sensitive skin, considered magical by shamans.  A companion of the rain spirits, the frog can help to develop your sensitivity to others, to healing, and to sound through your skin and your whole body and aura.

Nothing is what it appears to be, and life is more fun than you at first supposed!  There is hidden beauty and hidden power in all of nature, and as you open yourself to this you will feel close to the Goddess and close to both the earth and water.

Look for the beauty and the magic behind appearances.

Drawn Reversed,

this card suggests that you are learning how to embrace difficult circumstances.  The frog that you must marry may well turn out to be the prince.  The circumstances you have chosen to accept – whilst apparently unappealing or difficult – may well bring you rich rewards in the end.

Remember that the frog brings medicine, and medicines bring healing.”

I was directed to include both sides of this one.  They needed to be heard.

  2. Boo! on broken dryer motors! They cost more than the heating element. Yuk!

Yay! for the job you’re starting tomorrow! That dryer motor won’t bite you in the butt as badly. (And yay for not having to be there while the cursing and repairing are happening!)

“Sounding like a broken record” is still in use around here. I wonder what could possibly be used in its place? Hmmm, I should try to remember to query the college set and see if there is something they use….

And really, it never even was a BROKEN record, it was a scratched-and-skipping/stuck arm-with-needle-attached. 😕
