Totally should have seen that bastard coming.

Today’s message was like getting a Tower card, only with less paper involved.  I should have known it would be trying.  And yet, I blissfully traipsed into the afternoon with my Happy on and virtually no protection in sight.

The waking up was fine (I could hear my Empress and her father talking, so that’s always a nice sound), but then.  There it was.  Words to send terror.  But only if you’re paying attention.  And I kind of wasn’t.

Become the river now,

flow along as it does.

See how this could send us reeling?  You just KNOW there’s going to be rocks and current and sticks and debris and possibly falls ahead.  And for me …… there was.  I just hope your day, after reading this, is better than mine.

(Not that mine was horrible.  It was simply challenging.  And then the dryer broke.  And I lost my shit.  After already losing it earlier, when I thought THAT bit of news was the proverbial “last straw.”  It wasn’t.  There was one more.)

Thankgawd we got a good card to take the fucking edge off.

archangel michael, oracle cards

“Remember Who You Are  ~

Archangel Michael:

‘You are a powerful, loving, and creative child of God.  You are very loved.’

Additional Message:

‘You are made in the image and likeness of your Creator, so you embody aspects of all those qualities.  Your inner Divine light is pure and bright in truth, and no mistakes can undo God’s handiwork of true perfection.

Don’t be afraid of your power, your magnificence, or your wisdom.  When you succeed, you inspire others.  When you change your life so that it’s more aligned with your interests, you inspire others.  Be powerful!  Be magnificent!   This is who you are.’

Working with Archangel Michael:

When you call upon Michael, your own similar qualities are enhanced and magnified.  Ask Michael to enter your dreams and clear away any fears that are blocking you from fully enjoying your spiritual gifts and qualities.  Michael works especially well with us while we’re sleeping, since that’s when we are more open-minded and receptive.”

I’ve been seeing a ton of Archangel Michael reminders lately, in lots of places.  Earlier, when I was in a VERY unhappy state of mind, a beautiful guided mediation, from Michael, appeared.  So I did that.

Immediately I began to feel better, more at peace, and calm.  It’s one I’ll go back to visit again.  (THIS is the home site.)

Reminder, as always, substitute out any words that don’t work for you.  We can totally be a powerful, loving, and creative child of Nature, or the Universe, or The Force, or Goddess, or Spirit, or anything that is comfortable for you.

Archangel Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Today’s’ Mileage:

was an exhausting and wet ride, downtown and back, all 8.601 miles of it painfully tiring and rainy, in a lifetime-like 56 minutes 14 seconds, with a snail’s pace average speed of 9.1 MPH.

Today’s Sharing:

is a super cool (and inspirational!) series of posts by Anna.  Gratitude every day.  Go HERE and be uplifted.

FLP Report:

includes 2 Arizonas (a state I see pretty frequently so I don’t usually include them, but there was one and just minutes later, another), Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin  and what I think was Maine.

(And then the dog barfed on our carpet,

less than 9 feet from my chair.

Because,

of course he did.)

  1. Aww, thanks for linking to my blog! I feel a little strange, since I’ve only ever blogged for myself, but I appreciate the visitors. 🙂

Good card. Hopefully your towering leads to only good things. *hugs*

Don’t worry, I have very few readers these days.

  2. Just be the water, and nevermind the channel. Fill it with lovingkindness and flow with it. Then use it to clean up the dog barf. Water is good for that, too. Glad you found a good meditation to help the way. And you do inspire me.

Our first world problem of the day is somewhat self-inflicted. A synopsis is: the bearing went out in the washer. It would cost 2/3 the money of a new washer to repair. Washers and dryers are designed to work as pairs. We bought a new washer/dryer, with free delivery and take away (you know why that is really, super important…) Delivery was yesterday. Dryer vent in house does not talk to dryer vent from dryer. I scavanged the world to find a part that I thought would work. (And a dryer duct cleaning kit, because, apparently, you’re supposed to clean those). Mrs. Crankypants spent almost the entire evening being unsuccessful at resolving the issue. I get to work on that today. During this process, we discovered things that lead us to believe we must replace the subfloor and linoleum in that room. The washer and dryer barely fit.

Shhhhhh, we are NOT going to look at the floor under our washing machine. EVER.

    • Argh. Might be a “first-world problem” (and I truly hate that phrase), but let’s face it: we cannot simply wash clothes on the bank of a river in our world, for so very, very many reasons. While your washer/dryer problems aren’t life-threatening, they have a very real impact on your lives. So, sending out thoughts of things working out better to you.

    • Clean that dryer vent twice a year and pull the dryer out and stick your arm up inside and see if that needs cleaned as well. The small problem from not doing this is that all the lint absorbs the water from the loads and sends/or blocks moisture making your dryer think the clothes are still damp and your clothes get cooked on a regular basis and your gas/electric bill goes up from the loads taking longer to dry. Or in one personal case, the vent hose dipped in one spot when we lived in a trailer once upon a time and water collected in the dip causing the dryer to run all day while I was at work (hey, I was 20 something and didn’t know better.). The clothing did not recover. The big problem is the lint can catch fire and burn your house down. Clean those vents!

  3. Julie, I hope things got better. A sucky day is a sucky day, no buts about it. And dog barf? Blergh!

Sigh. Another card about “being yourself” and “using your gifts”. Fine. I’ll revise the damned novel. And London Mabel gave me a lovely verbal gift over on my blog, where I’m talking about this very topic. (Please visit me! I’ve had so few visitors of late and it feels lonely. Maybe it’s because I write such long posts, but I can’t help it: all that stuff just wants to be expressed.)

  4. {{{HUGS}}} to you. I hate those days when you get tossed from one piece of crap to the next. Here’s hoping things settled down for you. (I spent the night cleaning up after a barfing cat. I feel your pain.)

If by ‘broke’ you mean the dryer quit heating, that’s something you can fix yourself. Well, by that, I mean Dan. 🙂 The heating element is easy to remove and replace. We’ve done that several times with our dryer (25+ years old). It beats paying $100 plus parts to bring someone in to do it.

And that window sticker you saw yesterday was ridiculous. WTF? But it reminded me of something I read (and liked) as I was scooting around the Star Trek universe. A Gene Rodenberry quote, “We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes.”
