We had a Tower recently, right? And then yesterday’s In Order card. Plus Mercury and that whole mess. Yeah, it’s a challenging time right now for this wee witch.
There might have been a message* today, but it got drowned out. Instead, a voice mail on the home phone changed my life. Or, it changed my fall/winter season, anyway.
*My waking-up-ness was frenzied, so if a message was there, it could wait.
I’m not going to link this, but please feel free to use my site’s search feature to look back on how it all started. The quick catch-you-up version is that for many years I managed a holiday kiosk at one of our local malls. Then, the home office (in St Louis) pulled the plug, due (more than anything) to the economy.
It appears as though they’re back. So, in the interest of budgetary necessity, I guess that means I’m back to it, too. I’ll keep you posted on the progress. Right now my head is filled with attire deficiencies and bike commuting logistics.
And, the Universe is laughing at me. (Sub out any words that don’t work for you.)
“Accept Heaven’s Help ~
You’ve prayed for help, so get out of the way and let Heaven help you.
You have asked, ‘what should I do next?’ This card responds with: ‘trust that your prayers have been heard and answered. Simply rest and retreat for now. After all, you prayed for Divine intervention, so step aside and let Heaven intervene, as this is the help you prayed for.’
You can assist the process initiated by your prayers through quiet contemplation. Ask Heaven to give you very clear, easily understandable guidance, letting you know if you need to take any action. In the meantime, enjoy knowing that your angels and guides surround you and your situation with loving care.”
Let me be perfectly clear, Heaven, THIS is NOT what I prayed for. Just sayin’. I mean, I’ll take it, because shit, it’s right here. But, seriously. NOT what I had in mind.
(Which, SO clearly, illustrates how we are not even remotely in fucking charge of ANY damn thing.)

Today’s Family Fabulousness:
is my very favorite Mother-in-Law’s birthday. Happy of Happiest to you, Carolyn. We all owe you so very much, because truly, where would we be without that amazing boy you gave birth to, lo those many years ago, just four days after your own special day? (I know I’d be in the bin or a pine box, so, ya know, my own gratitude actually can’t be measured.)
includes this sighting.
Plus an extremely rare Quebec plate, one Michigan, and a very pretty Colorado that we’d never seen before. All from yesterday’s
death march walk to the store.
