We HAVE to start with Today’s Sharing.  Because it’s a chance for me to brag about my kids.  First thing, the Son will be taking me* out to dinner, as my (belated) birthday gift, on Tuesday.  I’m extremely excited, we’re going to THIS PLACE.

*Sure, his dad can join us.  I guess.

Next, last night our Empress posted an amazingly sweet piece on Facebook.  It made me so freaking happy, and of course it made me cry.  Finally, go HERE to see what Hanny has been up to.  And getting paid for!  (Then share it around.)

Now, back to business.  Here is what our channeled message said, as I rolled out of bed today:

one foot in front of the other,

in front of the other,

in front of the other  ……….

Which I interpreted to mean that our paths may contain a rough patch or two.  But when we keep going, continue treating all experiences as lessons, then the challenges are less difficult to maneuver around.

And on our card altar, we are handed a terrific validation.  (With a really nice illustration/photograph.)

crystal oracle cards, tiger's eye, calm and clarity

“Tiger’s Eye  ~

calm, clarity, balanced emotions, communication, intuition

If you have been plagued with negative thoughts lately then Tiger’s Eye crystals will help you rid yourself of unwanted thoughts and help you regain a positive and more inspiring attitude.  You will soon begin to see things clearly and realise that there was really nothing to fear in the first place.

Calm your thoughts and start to listen to your intuition.  Know that all is well and that only love surrounds you.

This card is also to do with communication.  You may avoid unnecessary turmoil and problems by communicating clearly with others.  Don’t be afraid to express your views honestly and make sure there is no misunderstanding.  You will gain respect and admiration for doing so.”

Whenever the Universe says, ” … there was really nothing to fear in the first place” I am immediately calm and centered.  Followed up by a statement of how All Is Well and my mind is completely at ease.

Today’s Mileage:

was made up of two errands, for 7.692 miles, in 43 minutes 23 seconds, with a surprisingly quick pace of 10.6 MPH (I have no idea why, nothing much different from yesterday).

This Week’s Necessary (Bargain) Purchase:

is the fine item pictured below.  (It’s singular, right?  Or would that be a PAIR, so… plural?  Never mind, don’t tell me, I don’t actually care.)

sport ear buds
Brand means next-to-nothing to me. This just happened to be the one that did the right shit.

The last device (also considered “sporty” earbuds), which carried music to my ears, had a fatal malfunction.  (That might, or might not, have had something to do with being closed in a garage door.)  Today was the test run/maiden voyage.  Performance analysis?  Perfection!

  1. Looks like you are in for a good birthday dinner.
One foot in front of the other – sounds so simple. My trial this week has been a battle with a complete lack of motivation to work out. So very irritated with myself.

So the message is perfect for THAT situation, too!

  2. I can use clarity today, so thanks for that, and also the reminder to just keep swimming. (loved the pictures from yesterday, and I would have thought goat, too, even though I’ve seen that Monty Python movie at least a dozen times.)

Just keep swimming, that’s exactly it.

  3. The restaurant looks sublime! I hope your dinner is excellent. I’m happy that Hanna is able to get paid for doing work she loves to do! That’s the best.

I’ve been struggling, mostly with getting myself to put in the hours on this job (and I really like the organization and the work and the people!), but also with food and my lack of exercise. But as my therapist says, just keep trying, and examine what is getting in the way of my success so we can address it and figure out how to get past it. I really like her.

Finding someone you can work comfortably with is SUCH a blessing.
    (Or so I’ve heard.)
