As of this afternoon, we’ve been married for 31 years.  In 25 days, we’ll be together for 33 years.  For me, those numbers seem wrong.  On the one hand, it can’t possibly be that long.  However, I know that it’s been lifetimes.

Nothing special for today except our cards.  We hung around the house, got some yard work done, then had a perfectly decent dinner in a conveniently located restaurant.

There was no message, precisely.  There were simply bits and left-over remnants of a dream, that clung and stayed with me.  The images primarily involved Day Of The Dead sugar skulls, well frosted cupcakes, and fluted mini-cups full of candies.

Make of that what you will.  To me, it felt like honouring our loved ones, with sweet treats.  Also, after I saw who our daily draw was, that’s all I needed.

animal cards, dolphin messages

“Dolphin  ~  42  ~  Breath

Dolphin is one of Spirit’s midwives.  Dolphin is present when we are born; she helps us take our first breath, and then pilots us through life in much the same way as she will guide a boat from port out into the open sea.  She reminds us to breathe as we embark on all creative ventures.

The time spent in the womb is sacred.  It shapes our view of the world before and after we are born.  Realising what life was like for both you and your mother while she was carrying you will help explain why you act and react toward life the way you do, the way you feel toward family, why you hold your breath in times of stress, and why your view of yourself has developed as it has.  Your sense of security and confidence, your relationships, and even the type of employment you seek, are all influenced by the quality of the time you spent in your mother’s womb, and the conditions under which you drew your first breath.

You agreed to everything as it is, as it was, and as it will be before entering this life.  What you do with this understanding and how you let it affect you is the key to a healthy, happy existence.

If the Dolphin has swum into your cards today, you are being prompted to review your life . . . . Consider the possibility that there may be things you are trying to bring to fruition that are unconsciously being blocked by your memory of your time in the womb . . . .

Evaluate the details that stand out and see them as a foundation on which to re-map your journey, to check your life’s blueprint, and to review the sacred contracts you signed before entering this world.  See this as an opportunity to reclaim your power, to rebirth, and to finally honour the first breath you ever took.”

Any time we are discussing Dolphin, I’m happy.  Talking about birth stories and mothering, also makes me happy.  Seeing this illustration?  Even happier!

Two things though.  I abbreviated a bit, if felt like that was the right way to go.  Also, notice the reminder of Life Review in this definition.  I now believe that my dream, and this second mention, are signs for us to take note of.

  1. Happy happy happy anniversary!!!!!!!!!

Love dolphin! The energies of the womb theory explains so much of the fear-based emotional reactions that Corina 1.0 experienced, and the anxieties… Corina 2.0 is soooo much happier, lol! I love the life review suggestion, too… Makes me so grateful for everything that has brought me to this moment!

  3. I’ll say it again, Happy Anniversary! Glad your day was done your way, just for you two.

And once more, I have to thank my Mom for a great growing up experience…from the womb on! I do wish she were here to share some of this stuff with.

  4. Again, Happy Anniversary (like a birthday, I think an anniversary should be celebrated all week)! Glad your day was a good one.

I know I was a wanted child, and loved. My mom did the best she could, given that she had no idea what to do with me, a child who wouldn’t, and couldn’t conform. But she tried. Like Ally, I wish my mom were here to share more of my life with me.

And I’m kind of doing a Life Review right now, so this is a good reminder.

    Again, thank you.
And we DO seem to be celebrating all week!
