May I begin this post with a huge helping of Gratitude?  Because I’d like to thank the Universe, for all of my massive blessings.  I can?  Great, thanks.

We live on a pretty tight budget, and have mountains of debt.  That’s just a fact.  The whole world knows that cops don’t get paid shit, and I’m clearly Dan’s biggest expense.  (Being a Tarot card reader is not self-supporting, in my case.)

So on Tuesday nights, when we are able to purchase food (good food, organic food, locally grown food, close-by-to-our home food), I feel as though we should acknowledge it as the gift that it is.  One that, all too often, gets taken for granted.  Frequently by me.

This is a chance to express my gratitude, to say thank you, to step away from the whining and the MeMeMeMe shell-fish-ness for a bit.  I live in a beautiful place, surrounded by many (MANY!) people who care about me.  What gifts!  I sent you my most sincerest thanks, to one and All.

As I woke up today, from a tremendously positive and uplifting dream, the words in my head felt slightly melancholy.  But I needed to stop being sad, so I chose to stay with the Happy of my subconscious wanderings.  Our message and my intention were again combined.

Reach out;

there is someone,

closer than you realize,

who can use your help.

It seemed as though this was saying several things at once.  Please, anyone reading right now, look around in your life.  Is there a person near by who maybe can use a helping hand?  Or possibly it’s just time to offer an extra nice smile to those that you come across in your day.

As our daily draw reminds us, we truly are all connected.  So when we help others, we are helping for the higher good of every one and every thing, including ourselves.

oracle cards, the world and the cosmos

“The Cosmos  ~  41  ~

creativity, vastness

The Cosmos appears always as an Ally and never as a Challenger.  Creativity in all forms  is represented by the Cosmos.  This is a sign to place your attention on creative projects . . . . they will be successful.  Remember that all of life is creative, and you are always co-creating with the Divine.

The Cosmos also represents the principle of infinity and the vastness of the energetic exchange of consciousness influencing all living things.  This teaches us that every intention we set is, in fact, contagious, with the power to influence others.  We are entangled at our deepest energetic place, so we can’t help but have an effect on others – from an individual level to a global one.

This is a sign to remind you to open up to the well of creativity deep within you and be mindful of your thoughts and actions: both are influencing your outer world.

Most important, keep taking action toward your goals, as the Cosmos responds perfectly to manifest your highest Destiny.  Expect to be inspired and to meaningfully touch others with all that you create!”

First of all, how fabulous is it when we get an Ally, who is NEVER a Challenger?!  It’s fucking awesome, that’s how!

Today’s Mileage:

includes a map, from Dan, HERE.  We went to the library and the gym and then got a treat.  For a total of 11.097 miles, in 1 hour 11 minutes 18 seconds of pedaling, with the same less-than-speedy pace (9.3 MPH) as yesterday.

What you can’t see is the five different types of yogurt I have underneath all of that fruit.

This shot is for Karen Buys, who thinks we maybe make this regular stop far too often, or perhaps it’s just that she’s tired of seeing it on the Deputy’s Facebook page.

Wedding Weekend Sharing:

is a view from our seat.  Of the bride and groom, and the wonderful setting.

Oops, didn’t realize how shaded it was under that massive oak.

My camera skills seem to be getting worse, not better.  But this gives you a nice general idea of how lovely Paige and Ryan’s event was (and how lovely they are).

  1. Funny but I’ve felt melancholy all day today.
That yogurt and fruit look yummy.

We should head over to Sarah’s blog and find out what the planets are doing.

  2. The yogurt and fruit is yummy, and I loved joining y’all for my pre dinner dessert. Thanks for letting me be part of your treat. Great card today, and funny, I just did my bit to support a friend who owns a Scottish fold cat who needs arthritis medicine. I’ll also keep it in mind as I go about my business today…

So nice that you and Mary could join us!
We might be there again next week. 😉

  3. The Creativity aspect really speaks to me because, from my conversation last Wednesday with my therapist, I decided to devote part of every evening to doing something creative. Have I started yet? Of course not! *rolls eyes* That would be too reasonable. So tonight. Or maybe tomorrow night because I may be doing paid work tonight, to make up for not doing some earlier. But then, I’ll maybe be writing new text and that’s creative.

I also like the part about the vastness and intentions and all that. All the things I haven’t started that I’ve agreed to with my new therapist: creative work, active imagination/visualization, reading my inspirational books, meditation. Lots of intentions and no action. One thing I’ve done: take short walks in the middle of the day when I’m working at the office twice a week. Sure, the walks have been very short so far, but I’m building up.

I know how difficult it is to be in great debt and not making much (or any) money, and it sucks. I am very grateful to be in a living situation right now where I don’t have to pay anything toward my room and board. I only have to pay my own bills, which are still significant. But I’m not hemorrhaging money as quickly as I was. So even though I don’t know all the minefields and rules and I have to walk on eggshells from time to time, I’m still grateful.

And I’m glad you woke from a good dream. I’ve been waking from bad dreams for a few weeks now. It’s good to be remembering my dreams again, after so long of not, but it would be nice if they were good dreams.

Right before you fall asleep tonight, tell the angels that you’d like uplifting, healing, and positive dreams. The kind that you can remember throughout the day.

  4. I Do Not!!!! It just makes me smile every time I see it on facebook, knowing you’re enjoying a treat!

In the mountains, in the mountains, I’m in my happy place tonight after a l o n g, l o n g drive. You would love it here; not beach but beautiful with the sound of the rushing water in the stream behind the house.

    1. Ah ha ha ha ha !!!!! 😆

Okay, that does sound fabulously soothing. Remember to take mind pictures, along with your regular ones, so that you can call up those sights and sounds, bringing your happy healing memories back home with you.
