Accepting Delivery.

My guess is that everyone reading here today (who, by the way, is not that damn many of you lately) are familiar with a situation I found my distractable self elf in just now.  I was lost in a novel.  And some hours got past me.

I also came home from my earlier appointment with a borrowed book (and not from the library this time).  More on that tomorrow though, I have some insights to share.  For now, we need to discuss the message I received when I woke up, and how it relates to today’s daily draw.

When we need help,

we must ask for it;

it will arrive,

just not always in the form that we were expecting.

On its own, this is good.  But paired with what came after it, even better.

Knight of Pentacles

Knight of Pentacles

It’s all about the physical here.  Although, sometimes it might not be.  At least in the way we usually think of it.  Like now.

Knights are the ones who bring us information.  This one is all, “here ya go, I’ve come to deliver something” but when we look at his lack-of-swiftness we realize, much like Dorothy (and what she was seeking), it’s been right here with us all along.

Put the two messages together and we get a pretty clear directive.  Our Knight brings help, because we asked for it.  None of us is able to do our work or learn our lessons without some assistance

And don’t we all feel better when WE are able to assist?  So yeah, combined, this is the Universe saying that we need to reach out.  To help, and to be helped.   Then, don’t be shocked when we find that horse* in our own backyard.

*Yes, I am aware that Jenny was also talking about horses.  And wishes.

  1. I have actually been here quite a bit lately, just haven’t had much to say (even about Osho’s tarot deck). There is a lot going on in my neck of the woods, with, oh, say some planned change (oxymoron?) and coupled with the workload in the numbered world, haven’t had much chance to spend the alone, meditative time that I think is crucial.

So, I have been taking in the cards, and am planning to do some meditation and sorting this weekend. After we help send Mary’s old dog to rainbow bridge tonight.

On the up side, I did lose myself in a novel Wednesday afternoon…

Please hug Mary for us all, that is one of the most difficult lessons, ever. She’ll be super sad, but also relieved that her loved-one is in full, robust health and with all of our four-legged friends who will be there as greeters.

  2. Great card. I’ve been visiting, but like Ally, haven’t had much to say. Too much going on here.

And nope, have never, ever gotten lost in a novel! 😛

I really appreciate that you all have been here.
Even if I wasn’t so sure.

  3. I’ve been losing myself in novels on purpose, as a way to kind of avoid everything I need to do but haven’t been. I do also lose myself in novels when I read just because that’s how I am. You can carry on a conversation with me when I’m reading, but I won’t remember it!

Good messages today. I think I will ask for some help to get me moving along more.

Moving along can be a challenge. Take that first step, just out of the house, and the rest is much easier. I promise!
