Joy and Good.

My yesterday continued along on its course of loveliness.   I had a very nice time going to work with Dan.  Crime was held back by a delightfully small-town celebration.   And, my hair didn’t catch on fire, so that was also good.

The wind never let up, but that didn’t keep this burg from enjoying their pyrotechnics.  I found no fewer than three cinders on my head.  And several sparks hit me in the front.

Plus, we scored a nice burger and had some tasty snacks.  We also ran in to an old family friend, which was super fun.  Then, we were home early enough to watch a few recorded shows before the holiday ended.

Only downside was when we lost Maxx.  Again.  No, it had nothing to do with loud noises or him being scared.  He was a sneaky little clever wee bastard and went out the backdoor as I was hauling the trash and recycle cans up our driveway.

Practically the minute we figured it out, there he was.  On the WRONG side of our gate.  He was pleased to be home.  And no worse for the wear.  Also, probably only ten minutes had passed, so he wasn’t gone long.  Fortunately, there was no more throwing up!

Today the weather was cooler.  Or maybe not, the wind is just so strong it might be blowing all of the heat someplace else.  I woke to a sort-of-cryptic message.

When we arrive, sometimes everything appears entirely different;

be sure to examine all layers, not just the surface.

Seems to be saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” only with more words.  Apply to whatever circumstance is appropriate in your case.  So will I.

As I stood over our card altar this afternoon, the feeling was to leave that rotation, and go with some angel wisdom.  Which is what I did.

“Outdoors  ~

Archangel Jophiel:

‘Go outside, get some fresh air, and connect with nature to relieve stress and gain new, creative ideas.’

Additional Message:

‘Connecting with nature helps synchronize your rhythms to the universal heartbeat.  In this way, your natural timing improves so that you are in the right place at the right time.

Being in nature renews your spirit and revives your energy level.  Get outside every day, even if it takes some effort on your part.  Once you are in nature, take time to smell the roses and observe the glorious beauty.  Know that you’re part of nature, and that you are also beautiful.’

Working with Archangel Jophiel:

Jophiel’s name means ‘Beauty of God.’  She sees beauty in everything and everyone, and helps you do the same.  Jophiel knows that when we spend regular time outdoors, we’re cleared of lower energies, and naturally have a more beautiful outlook on life.

Call on Jophiel to ease your schedule to allow for outdoor time: plan a nature-based vacation, move to a more rural environment, start a butterfly garden, or just connect to nature in any way that pleases you.”

My favorite aspect of nature is the beach, where water meets land, on the edge of the ocean.  I don’t live as close as I would like.  For today though, I’m going to look at images of it.  Hopefully soon, I’ll get to visit again.

The top part says, “I am open to the most splendid experiences.”  With the side paragraph including a direct message from Louise herself.

“I deserve the best in life.

All people deserve happy, fulfilling lives.  Like most people, I used to believe that I deserved only a little bit of good.  Few people believe they deserve all good!

There is no need to limit our good.  Most of us have been conditioned to believe that the good in life can only be had if you eat your spinach, clean your room, comb your hair, shine your shoes, keep quiet, and so on.  Although these may be important things to learn, they have nothing to do with inner self-worth.

I know that I am already good enough, and that without changing anything at all, I deserve a wonderful life.

I open my arms wide and declare with love that I deserve and accept all good!”

That last line is going to be my affirmation for today and tomorrow.  Jotted onto a used, recycled envelope.  I recommend that you do something similar.

I open my arms wide and declare with love that I deserve and accept all good!

  1. I didn’t see any fireworks this year as I was working at all the wrong times. I did share a meal with my mom, my girls and my gkids. Don’t get better than that. And I made an easy, yummy, red, white and blue desert. Took a pic, too. Unfortunately even my technically gifted daughter can’t figure out how to download them or email them to my pc off of my dumb phone. Oh well.
Sounds like you had a good holiday.
(Check out my blog if you get a chance. I put up pics of the colorful, uplifting paintings of my friend Vivi-Soyeon Park Gallo.)

I can e-mail my pics, but it takes some maneuvering. Get the address recorded in the phone, then try “picture message” that way.

  2. Glad you didn’t catch on fire! We watched from the living room and still saw fireworks all over the place. The best was when Hunt’s Point (directly in front of us) and Kirkland (to the north and a bit thru the trees) were setting off their big fireworks at the same time. It was fantastic! I’m a total kid when it comes to fireworks. 🙂

I’m going to do the “I deserve all good” affirmation all day. I think I’ve forgotten that I deserve good at all.

Glad you found Mr. “Houdini” Maxx. Quite the little prankster he’s become.

Totally I ended up sleeping for 10 hours (I don’t know why) and I am still kinda groggy and lethargic. My goal is to get alert and energetic and accomplish some stuff. And arrange to take my niece out for her 15th birthday.

That’s a pretty big deal, in some cultures (like on my Mom’s side of the family, or it WOULD be if she was a better Mexican).

  3. I’m at the BEACH!!!! I’ll text you a picture when I recover from the drive because it would be so much more fun to be at the beach with you than with my brother.

I’m waiting! Lol, yes send me pictures.

Also, thanks. Wish I was there, like REALLY wish I was there.
