Don’t we all want the best for our families and loved ones?  Of course we do.  That’s the topic on my mind tonight.  For several reasons.  The first is of great political import.  Not just to me, who believes in freedom of choice and liberty, but for everyone on the planet.

A woman named Wendy Davis* is doing her part.  Go HERE to see the most recent news clip I could find.  Watch it, and then send her beaming darts of love and strength.  She’s got a tough fucking job, and deserves our respect, as well as support.

*What my Hurricane had to say about her: “she is unbelievably amazing.  I’ve been listening to the testimony — if she can go until midnight, the vote, which would cripple abortion access in TX, will be stuffed.”

Closer to home, we have a delightful compilation video from Emma and Ryon’s gym.  Watch it from THIS page (it’s also available on YouTube).  You’ll see Empress right at the beginning, and at the one minute:ten mark with her gold medal.

On the spiritual front, our channeled message is more like a paragraph of persuasive encouragement than a tidbit of wisdom.

no matter what manner we choose to create order/corral the chaos,

simply insure that it is OUR OWN PERSONAL way,

not someone else’s.

It feels as though the point of this one is to be true, and put shit straight.  Whatever it is that you (or me) personally have going sideways right now.

On our card altar we’re back to the regular rotation, and it’s a gorgeous illustration.  As this entire stack has proven to be.

oracle cards, trust

“The Chess Queen  ~  30  ~

trust, strategizing

The Chess Queen has all the tools you need to aid you in your quest for a life of purpose, peace, and prosperity.  When she arrives as your Ally, you are given the task of asking Spirit for a vision of your life.  Ask, also, to know the right actions to ensure your part in this process of unfolding.

Then, with a sense of trust, allow the strategy to be given unto you by the Divine.  Are your own goals and desires in alignment with the Divine Plan for your life?

This is a reminder that there is your plan, and then there is the Divine Plan for your life.  When you’re in alignment with the latter, all manner of messages are delivered to aid you in taking the next right action for your life.

The Chess Queen says that you will win this game as long as you let Spirit choose your moves.  Follow your bliss and the inspired messages delivered by your soul.  You cannot lose when you enter the realm of the Chess Queen and she appears as you Ally.”

Okay, see how this ties in to what I heard earlier?  Wow, that’s kind of a fun validation.  Let’s just all make sure we’re tuning in.  (Maybe with the help of yesterday’s Archangel?) And honouring the correct Plan.

Wisdom Of The Hidden Realm Oracle Cards by Colette Baron-Reid

Today’s Mileage:

was to the gym, the library, the frozen yogurt shop, and home, for 11.214 humid, showery miles, in 1 hour 9 minutes 4 seconds, at an average speed of 9.7 MPH.  Go see Dan’s map HERE, it’s always worth the click, if nothing more than to make you laugh at our ridiculous and circuitous pedaling.

Tonight’s Kitchen Adventure:

is only about storage, because we gathered a few basics (with the car) tonight after the bike errands.

canning jar storage
Red Vines!
What can’t go in a canning jar?!

We found a flat of these half-gallon sized ones at a local market, so obviously, as soon as we could, we bought them.  Super cool and useful.

FLP Report:

includes one of our favorite Dakotas.

foreign license plates, south dakota
The one with the carved heads.

With one Iowa and a Michigan, too.  (That last plate caused us to argue loudly across the bike lane, while in traffic.   Probably quite amusing for surrounding motorists.)

  1. You assume that said surrounding motorists could pay enough attention to a bike rider to notice the argument.

Great card, great work by Wendy Davis, and I am looking foward to the announcement at 0700 today. Love the video, too.

Well, in this case, they were absolutely paying attention to us. Everyone was stopped at the light, and WE were the only ones making any noise. 😉

  2. Much whooping going on in my house this morning as we were all too tired to stay up and watch. And then more whooping at 10:10 this morning!!

Too bad we couldn’t get a political hat trick, but yeah, the Tweeties were alive with the news when I got to sit down here today. And Hanny put several great stories up on the radio station website. 😀

  3. Those red vines look tasty. I love canning jars. The pints make great water glasses. They are perfect for leftovers because they’re clear and you can see what’s in the frig.
Emma looked awesome with her medal!

Some types of candy are only good when fresh, and wow, these totally are! Also, fun in their storage jars, too.

(Thank you, she made us all incredibly proud.)

  4. I love canning jars (or any kind of glass jars) because you can see what’s in them and they don’t collect/impart oils, odors, or anything like that. I have a large jar like the ones your daughter brought you that I store my homemade laundry powder in. I had more but gave them to charity when I moved, knowing I can find more when I am ready for them.

I am so proud of Wendy Davis! She is a truly awesome person to have done what she did.

I really like today’s card. I am going to meditate on it today.

I just saw a local ad for MORE jars! Must go there and scope out the selection.

    Wendy rocked it!

  5. yes, go Wendy Davis. What a lovely, brave example. Unfortunately since the Republicans control the Texas legislature her work may yet be undone. Really, really interesting card today, gave me some good stuff to think about.

I refuse to think anything negative tonight, besides, look what happened in California. People with functioning brains DO (eventually) prevail!
