Yesterday’s title was in reference to several things (they almost always are).  Because that’s what has been on my mind lately, the idea (the concept) of change, the spiraling up, and the movement forward.  How we go through transitions and evolve, as we travel our paths.

That very same topic was what I woke up thinking of, too.  And it was even more clear as I heard this message:

when rebuilding (whether physical, mental, or spiritual) be cautious, but more importantly, be positive, with every individual layer.

Because for every bit we release, we also create anew.  Change can be challenging, this is a flat-out true fact.  However, when viewed through the lens of new/fun and as a treasure, it’s much more palatable to consider, and accept.  As long as we do it within the proper mind-set.

On our card altar, back to the regular rotation, we’ve been gifted, for exactly that type of accomplishment.  (Woo hoo!)

angel cards and messages, guardian angel

“Reward  ~

Guardian Angel

Your guardian angels are rewarding you for all your concerted efforts, hard work, and dedication to helping others.  You’ve been giving so much, and now it’s time for you to receive.

Your reward comes to you in an unexpected and happy way.  It helps you know that you are not alone, and that you are being watched over.  Allow this to boost your faith even further.

This is also a message for you to treat yourself with a few goodies.  You’ve been expending so much energy that there’s a need for a retreat and rejuvenation.   Indulge yourself with a massage, a pedicure, or a long soak in a warm bathtub.  Rewarding yourself helps you keep going and feel appreciated for all of  your hard work, and it balances all the giving that you have been doing.

You deserve this reward, and remember:

the more you allow yourself to receive, the more you have available to give to others.”

While I think this message is WAY important (and awfully freaking timely), I can never understand all of Doreen’s adoration of the stereotypical “rewards” she suggests.  I’d rather throw my sweaty, puffy body in front of a screaming, speeding train than participate in those three torturous trials example activities.   But  ya know, that’s obviously just me.

Whatever makes YOU feel better?  Go do that.  However much Quiet Time YOU can grab in your day?  Go take it.  Wherever recharges YOUR soul?  Go there!  Even if it’s only a few seconds to step out and look at the supermoon.  Step out!

was out for bagels, like last week.  With a Froot Loop Krispie Treat again, of course.  5.116 miles, in 31 minutes 25 seconds, at 9.7 MPH average speed.  Look at DAN’S MAP to see our route, including an Estate Sale stop off.  (Where we purchased some linen table napkins.  Six for less than 3 bucks!)

Today’s Sharing:

is THIS page from across the pond.  Go see it, totally worth the click.  (I want one.  Or maybe I just want to be there.)

Tonight’s Kitchen Adventure:

has already happened.  Early.  Because my ankles and feet are (still) swollen and I didn’t think I could do it later.

home-made tortillas
Tortillas, which then become quesadillas.

I have so many recipes for these now, I can’t remember which ones I’ve used and liked, and which ones I’ve used and not liked.  Even though most of them have scribbled notes on them.  This version seems to be pleasingly soft, remind me to jot that down.

  1. the supermoon is beautiful! so dazzlingly bright. “be positive with every individual layer” is very timely for some things I’m thinking about. I’ve had a couple of nice treats in the last few days so I think my reward has already come. Also I like the spiraling up idea from yesterday and today. (and thanks for the link to the tiny house site–love those!)

    Yipee for treats and rewards!!!

  2. I love that little lobster pod. I could use that as a writing space. If I ever write again.
Those tortillas look yummy. Quesadillas – mmmm.

Aren’t they great for folks who need a close-by, private get-away place?

  3. I want a lobster pod. With an ocean view. Or a mountain lake view. And a lock on the door. Possibly with sound-proofing.

You got it! I think most are portable, so we could hook yours up and haul it over here from time to time.

  4. I definitely want a massage! I’ve been wanting once since packing up the apartment! 🙂 So I am going to make the time to have one, dammit.

The lobster pod is cute, but I tend to like a bit more detail in my spaces, more trim, etc. I am a cottage girl.

I went and saw bagpipe and drum bands and many, many men in kilts yesterday. Very fun. Men in kilts are distracting. 😀

Just the mere MENTION of men in kilts is distracting!
    (Go get that massage.)
