Today was very nice.  Over all.  There were a few times when shit just went sideways.  But then, it got figured out, and no one died*.  Also, I had a delightful appointment with *K* this afternoon.

*No one died, but that doesn’t mean someone wasn’t looking forward to it.  I had a conversation with my mother about her Last Wishes; that was interesting.  She’s recovering from a SEVERE sinus headache, and told me “I was at Death’s Door, and he slammed the shittin’ thing in my face!”  Now she wants to be prepared.  I can certainly see her point.

So, my mental health/nutrition professional and I (by which I mean, just she) came up with a word that works perfectly for my circumstances.  (We almost couldn’t stop saying it, we liked it that much.)  It’s like a metaphoric key for unlocking disordered thoughts.  Join us, won’t you?  Say it aloud with me:

The idea is that I’ll be taking all of that wonderful knowledge (only the good parts) that I’ve gained over the past 40 years of food obsessions and imperfect diets*, tossing it together in a pleasing manner, then coming out the other side with a healthy and comfortable attitude about eating.

*Oxymoron, every diet is imperfect (and false) if we’re using that term in reference to deprivation or shaming.

Arriving on the heels of my recent “breakthrough” this session was simply joyful.  Along with our channeled message, and daily draw, even WITH the difficulties, nothing seems too terrible right now.

Long-term relationships can be rejuvenated, not just maintained.

One of the details I was made aware of when I woke up, was that this Universal Truth may be applied to far more situations than we realize.  This one is not (exclusively) about spousal arrangements, but far FAR more.

On our card altar we have an extended view.  They all tie in, and connect, so smoothly.

angel messages

“Vision  ~

Guardian Angel

This is a message  about honoring your vision.  It asks you to trust the mental images that you’ve been receiving, as they are answers to your prayers.  Your prophetic visions will bring blessings to you and your loved ones.  You know that they are Heaven-inspired because of their loving nature.

Your guardian angel is helping you to clearly see the truth within your present situation.  This involves a dual perspective.  First, hold the intention to see the Divine light within everyone and everything.  This helps the highest possible outcome to occur.  Have faith.

Second, allow yourself to see the earthly and human truth in this situation.  Is someone or something out of balance with integrity?  Admit this to yourself, and clearly witness the perspectives and motivations of everyone involved.

This can also be a message from your angels to have your physical vision checked or corrected.  Prayer can help by healing your sight and also by leading you to the best eye-care professional.

Your angels surround your physical and spiritual vision with light.  Look through their eyes and you will see the best within yourself and life itself.”

art deco bathrooms

I wanted to STAY in there.
(The toilet is directly left of that sink, and the shower is on the far right side of this view.)

Generally, I am not in favor of converting historic homes into other things, unless….. this one was done VERY well, and so much of the original integrity was maintained.  Like that freaking gorgeous bathroom!  (It’s at E 11th and High, for those local folks who are interested.)

    • Oh, and that bathroom is super-frickin-fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing!

And FGBV’s to your mother. 😦

We both were thinking that if Sudafed hadn’t been made prescription only this infection might not have taken such a terrible turn, we could have treated it at home as soon as she started to notice it.
      She’ll be fine though,
      much to her disappointment. 😉

  1. Wow I do love that bathroom.
I am happy that some things that have been stagnant for a while are finally moving for me. Sick of this holding pattern I’ve been in.

I know how rejuvenating change is for you, so I’m glad, too.

  2. Really interesting channeled message. I know that throughout the course of our almost 30 years, Mrs. Denial and I have rejuvenated along the way; grown and changed with each other as we’ve grown and changed. I attribute a LOT of that to her and her insights about personality, intent, and behavior. The same is true of my work relationship. That, too, is an almost 30 year relationship (28, actually) and I have certainly rejuvenated that along the way. Same with our house…not change for change’s sake, but as part of the growth. And with my sister, too… Hmmm. Good thinks, there.

Re: sudafed. The next time someone is at the doc, get them to write a scrip for sudafed, and fill it at CostCo. It will last a long time. It has been very nice to have around.

I do love that bathroom. My dream would be to have an old house that looked like an old house and functioned like a new one.

  3. Like J3, I’ve been stagnant for a while, like not long after getting to Seattle. Just kind of lost and tired. So last night I went to sleep earlier than usual. This morning I got up and did my very light exercises and stretchings. I have things I was supposed to do yesterday that I will do today. I might go for a walk. But I am determined to come back to life.

I love that bathroom! I love old homes that have been kept up or remodeled to suit the house.

    Good startings!
    Next? Walking the neighborhoods.

  4. OK, OK, I know I’m late but yesterday was not a day for online reading. great message and perfect card to go with it. I’m actively working on this, but you knew that. 🙂

    • oh, and also– I’m kind of in the same place about coming up with a plan for eating. It suddenly occurred to me last week that it could actually be empowering to come up with my own plan–not ahead of time, like sitting down and planning out how I should eat for the next month, but by actually *doing* it. Figuring out a plan as I test out what works for me. If that made any sense.

It made perfect sense. Can’t wait to hear how yours turns out, because you know I’ll be sharing mine. Yipee for us!

  5. Gorgeous bathroom! “My dream would be to have an old house that looked like an old house and functioned like a new one.” Oh, yeah.

It’s such a funny thing to me, that house has been there forEVER and yet it’s very nondescript, you barely notice it. Then, when you’re inside, WOW!
