Last night (technically TODAY on the clock), as Dan was unloading his gear after work, he wished me a Happy June, saying, “now it feels like summer.”  I had to agree with him.  The end of May is still Spring, but the NEXT month, with Solstice near the middle, heralds the arrival our favorite season.

When the witchlings were all in school, this was what we looked forward to.  No more early mornings (yes, sometimes I DID get up), no more homework, no more forced schedules.  Even now, with my babies all adult-ified, it’s still the time their father and I enjoy the most.

I haven’t flipped all of the calendar pages around The Burrow yet (even though it was a stay-home day for me), but I can share this one with you.

gratitude affirmations
The words forming a border say:
merci, abundance, count blessings, gratitude, thanks.

Here’s June’s affirmation  “I am totally open and receptive to the abundant flow of prosperity that the Universe offers.”

And then, down the right side, the complete paragraph for this month says:

“My good comes from everywhere and everyone.

There is an inexhaustible supply in the Universe.  Begin to be aware of it.

Take time to count the stars on a clear evening, or grains of sand in one handful, the leaves on one branch of a tree, the raindrops on a windowpane, the seeds in one tomato.  Each seed is capable of producing a whole vine with unlimited tomatoes on it.

Be grateful for what you do have, and you will find that it increases.

Bless with love all that is in your life now – your home, the heat, the water, light, telephone, furniture, plumbing, appliances  clothing, transportation  jobs – the money you do have, friends, your ability to see and feel and taste and touch and walk and to enjoy this incredible planet.”

This is so timely, just yesterday I made a point of being grateful for my operational stove and garbage disposal!  When we take the time to acknowledge our blessings, it’s true, they miraculously seem to multiply.

The message I woke up with today kept trying to get away, and I was questioning if we’d already heard it before.  Why do I bother?  It’s what we need to hear at the time we need to hear it:

discernment; make a choice and stick with it.

As always, apply this to where it needs to go in your circumstance, and I’ll do the same.

Then, on our card altar, we seem to have received a validation for the LAST channeled message.  How fascinating this entire process is!

“Making a Difference.

‘My inner light shines far and wide.’

Card meaning:

You are making a difference in the lives of others.  In ways that you may not even know, many benefit because of you.  Your light radiates far and wide.

The Universe wants you to know:

Sometimes the smallest actions can have the greatest impact.   Perhaps it’s a smile shared with a stranger, kindness extended to an acquaintance, or a favor done for a friend.  This is akin to the story about the man who returns beached starfish to the sea.

Although he knows that he cannot possibly save them all, he continues his work because it makes a difference to the few he can save.  You can and will change lives.  Take steps today that will make a difference in the life of another.

Questions to ask yourself:

How can I make a difference?  Whose life is positively impacted because of me?  What can I do to make even more difference in the world?

My inner light shines far and wide.”

Yeah, I probably say the same thing EVERY time we get around to this particular stack, but I can’t help it.  Denise’s work continues to impress me.  This one, the message as well as her definition and illustration,  is merely another example; more reasons for adoration.

Mileage Totals:

for the month of June are in (which means I just did the math, and checked it about seventeen times).  I went farther in May (153.61) than I did in April (135.268), by over 20 miles.  Year To Date is getting up there into some pretty impressive digits, 696.809 (I could have gone to see Han and come back, with nearly a hundred to spare).

Marketing Update:

might become a regular feature, or maybe I should call it CORRECTIONS AND MISTAKE FIXING.  As my delightful pool buddy Martha pointed out, there should perhaps be a Facebook link in each post.  Because that wee box might be getting lost amongst the endless clutter valuable information and highly important ephemera.

  1. Well, that your message plus the card just hit me right in the face, especially considering the new information I got dropped on me last night. very timely.

That’s a lot of miles!! Go you!!! 😀

These messages, ideally, will make an impression, not cause bodily harm. But ya know, we don’t judge here (just be careful and have a safe word). 😛

  2. I think I might be making a positive difference in the life of my homeowner housemate. She has hoarding tendencies and is a shopaholic. She can afford it, but she has so much stuff she doesn’t even know what all she has. And it keeps her from moving into a smaller and perhaps more suitable house. We talked about it as we drove around looking at houses yesterday and I told her how I looked at it within myself and how I changed it in me. I hope I can help her at least some: she’s been extraordinarily generous to me and I’d like to find some way to give back to her.

I’m so proud of you for biking so much! You are doing so damned well!

We make a difference so often, and we don’t even realize it. When we set out to help, it’s an even bigger deal!

  3. The never knowing when you make a difference for someone is real prevalent in the numbered people’s world. Just cast it out, and it will return.

    Great job on the biking!!

It really is, you guys (the good ones 😉 ) are sometimes just healers with badges.

  4. Not sure how I make a difference, but I hope I do, to someone, somewhere. Those are some serious miles you’ve accomplished. : )

It happens far more than we realize.

  5. Definitely thought about you today. I went to the pool and my time there was lovely. Then I came home and took a lazy-Sunday, swimming-an-hour powered nap. Nuttin better.

    The very definition of SELF-CARE!!!

  6. Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement on my biking miles. As I’m sweating and huffing and puffing my way up the hill towards home each day, I think of you guys, and it helps me keep going.
