At first I thought my impression of our daily draw was different from what the guidebook said.  I’ve just spent some time with it, now I can see the origins of this message* more clearly.  Which is exactly what happened last night after I finished writing yesterday’s post.  Super clear-thinking sometimes startles me like that.

*I still don’t care for the opening descriptive line, though.

It took some massive blending, moving, and turning-around-to-view-from-all-angles before I was able to see where my new ideas all fit in.  This new channeling, that just sort of FELL on me the other day, helped me to understand a bit more of how the Universe is defined.  Or, how it is defined in my head.  Same same, for me.

The comfort factor is unexplainable when something like this clicks.   Similar to finding our Zen Balance, it’s blissful.  A sensation that doesn’t come along all that often in our lives.  Although, I truly believe , the more we “live” in it, the more we are ABLE to live in it.

“Creatures Of The Air:

Eagle, Raven, Owl, Humming Bird, Parrot, Peacock, Butterfly, Bat, Spider, and Bee

By different means all these creatures escape the confines of the earth.  They soar above material cares and worries and counsel that it is time to let go of our cares, to leave the past firmly behind you where it belongs, and to look for a new future where anything is possible…..”

This concept of leaving the Earthly realm is akin to the idea of us leaving our bodies when we meditate/pray or reach that All Awareness state of being.  How timely that today’s messenger is from this group.

(Again the coloring is off here.  On my table it is much more calming and blue, not this glaring at all.)

“Peacock  ~

Protect your heart from those who may cheat before they hurt you.

Peacock’s call warns of the dangerous approach of Tiger and Cobra.  As forest denizens heed and flee, so you should now fly from the concrete jungle’s double dealer and heartbreaker.

Cosmic vehicle of Kama, Hindu god of love, Peacock knows that although the first declarations of love may be attended by flowers or offerings of ambrosial foods, true intimacy develops later, in seclusion and simplicity.   Outward show is a ritual and should not be confused with the realities of long-lasting relationships.”

It is entirely possible that I like peafowl even more than I like pink flamingos.  So I was disappointed when I read that description at the bottom of this card.  Later, as I said, the actual definition came through.

Relationships or no relationships, the outward show of any type is exactly that, a show.  These birds have become iconic for their SHOW.  And that’s perfectly great, in its place.  What we REALLY need to see in this one is more about genuine inner gorgeousness, that which is soul-deep.

If we consciously and diligently practice our Walking in Beauty, our Living in Love, we won’t even NEED to be concerned with deception or faux appearances.  By being genuine, we’ll have it covered.

  1. Yikes! Peacock is crazy-scary in timeliness and applicability. Sometimes it really feels like the Universe is jerking me around. Sometimes it pisses me off. Seriously, was I on crack when planning this all out? Or am I just the best roller coaster engineer ever?

We always THINK we can handle it….
    and then, here we are.

  2. When I was a way young numbered person, one lesson that stuck with me was “always look beyond that which draws your attention to see what it is masking”. One of my favorite about the county birds are these little guys that I suspect nest in ditches, and fly away noisily when you approach, drawing your attention away from their nests. Seems like that is Peacock’s counsel here.

    Nailed it!

  3. Yep, I think we’re all guilty of putting on a show. Initially. Putting our best foot forward in new relationships, work situations, whatever. It’s only when we let go of the facade and show our true colors that real relationships can develop. My son is very much a “what you see is what you get person” and I wish I could relax enough to be like him. : )

Don’t you think that you ARE becoming more relaxed though? It seems that way from here, seeing what progress you’ve made, since I’ve “known” you anyway.

  4. Like Judy, I don’t quite see how this applies at the moment. Will have to keep my eyes open!

See what Ally said in her comment.

The message might not jump out at you in a huge blatant way to apply, like in this case, for you, it’s mostly just reminding us to be genuine.

  5. Definitely a need to cogitate on this message, like others. It’s not quite so obvious to me. What I like more is your “clicking” and feeling of bliss. I think that’s wonderful! Excellent for you and definitely something I want more of for me.

Read what I wrote to Robin.

The trick to this elusive Zen business seems to be a LOT of release work and looking within, honestly looking within and not judging. (And not complaining.)
    Also, not even kidding,
    guided meditation CDs!
