Still and more, together.

Here’s a thing you should know.  (Or maybe NOT know.  If you’re suggestible, like me, look away.)  Were you aware that See’s Candy has post-holiday, on-line only, more-than-half-price sales?  Yeah.  Me neither.  Until now.  Some chocolate showed up on our doorstep today.  It’s outstandingly good (duh, their stuff ALWAYS is).  And the most amazing bargain of all time.  Also, arrived AT OUR DOOR!

Okay, let’s keep moving.  There were some comments made recently mentioning a potentially negative, and absolutely very sad, situation with bees.  I can’t actually allow my mind to go there.  Additionally, that is not what’s happening here, where I live.  Earlier today there was a news release, this is the story, of much hope, on a similar topic.  (It featured THIS local company.)

On the astrological front, at some-minutes-past noon today (one of my alarm setting times, in fact, when I need to get anywhere EARLY) Pluto went Retrograde.  Read the full post HERE to get all of the MOST important info.  As Sarah says, “…. the bigger our resistance to it, the bigger the impact of that resistance.”

In our card altar room we have another theme going, the idea of socialization and staying connected is running deep this week.  Also, this one is another 33.  Nice, huh?  Oooo, we do love our Magick around here.

“The Camel Boy  ~  33  ~  small steps, asking for help

When the Camel Boy comes as your Ally, he reminds you that asking for help will bring in the right people to ease the burden of your life.  Perhaps a wise person appears to give you advice.  Maybe you are moving and suddenly a couple of friends offer to give you a hand with the packing.  Or you want information about someone and you just happen to run into his former business partner, who gives you the knowledge you need to make the decision you’ve been weighing.

No matter the issue, this is a sign that if you ask, you will receive what you need.  Synchronicity is engaged when you request assistance.  The Camel Boy never lets you down when you ask for help in lightening your load.  Now is the time to do so – and to expect to get it.”

Camels have been appearing as symbols in my life lately, so this message counts as even MORE of a big damn deal than usual.

Today’s Deck:

Wisdom Of The Hidden Realm Oracle Cards by Colette Baron-Reid

Today’s Sharing:

is from Corina, who found this (credited to Kitty Degler), without even knowing that I’d been searching for it.  (I changed some of the singular parts to plural, because ya know, I’m like that.)

Now I lay me down to rest.
I pray that all the world be blessed,
Lady Moon and Sister Star,
Watch over us all from afar.
Mother Earth is always there,
And keeps us safe within her care.
The Lord of Dreams will dance and sing,
And happy dreams to all will bring.
And when I wake to greet the day,
Brother Sun will light my way.

Today’s Mileage:

was downtown and back, 8.896 in 54 minutes and 56 seconds, with average speed of 9.7 MPH.  Nothing much to say, except that it threatened to sprinkle all day, but never did.  I carried my raingear in the panniers.

Last Night’s Baking Adventure:

did not go too poorly.  I’d even go so far as to call it one of my (inadvertent) successes.

baked cheese

I substituted those eggs for the milk.
(And yes, that IS how I jotted down the recipe.)

Although I’ve since been given* more detailed instructions, so next time will be an improved version.  We hope.  (There were some croutons that I had stopped being fond of, so I bashed them up and used that in place of real breadcrumbs.  Except that later I ended up adding a bit of Panko to the mix.)

*Which I promptly lost, but have re-requested that they be sent anew.

baked cheese

I never know why some of these shots come out looking like I’ve used a tangerine for my camera lens.
(Honest, none of this is THAT orange in real life.)

We ate them with a spoon.  Because the “breading” wanted to fall off.  And I wanted it  NOT to when I put the bite in my mouth.  When it doubt: scoop and shovel.

FLP Report:

Missouri, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Florida.  (College kids are all back now.  Clearly many of them are from states that start with M.)

  1. Definitely asking for, and open to receive, help.

I can’t tell what it is you breaded… tangerines, maybe? 😉

    • This is the baked cheese bites recipe from the day before. It was originally on Judy’s blog, which was why I linked to it. And that’s where I jotted down those FABULOUS instructions.
Can you see the string cheese in their packages in that other view, left of the eggs?

  2. I’m also definitely asking for and ready to receive help. Help to find the right healthcare providers. Help to find the right job for me. After that, help to find the right living space for me. I’m calling in all the assistance I can find so I can get what I need and want. I’m going to be content here, no matter how hard I have to work at it.

I’m going to be content here, no matter how hard I have to work at it.” 🙂

Remember, when we begin working on the INNER contentment, we really don’t have to try too hard for the rest of it.

  3. I’m going to have to see if I can find a similar “bee thing” around here. And I’ll keep on keepin’ on stopping Cooper from eating them!

Contact the folks at Glory Bee, see about their connections in other places. VERY likely someone there will know someone where you are.
(And be sure to tell them we sent you!)

  4. Yay for your bee people!!

Your food could be almost anything that comes in crumbly bits in that picture! But, y’know, still looking yummy.

I keep going outside to look for the aurora borealis but it doesn’t seem to be showing up. Maybe you’ll get to see it?

And, I have heard about the wonderfulness of See’s Candy for years and yet have never had any. You may now pity me.

As soon as your comment went up I frantically started googling around to find out what you were talking about. I want to see the Aurora Borealis SO DAMN MUCH!!!
Just checked (again), super freaking cold and dead-ass dark. Not a Northern Light to be seen. 😦

Oh no, you get no pity. Go order something, the sales are WONDERFUL! And it shows up on your porch in mere days.
    Really. The. Best. Candy.
