Just home from my mom and dad’s house.  A lovely dinner.  And she made me brownies (with frosting!) because she felt sorry for me with no oven or stove, now going into the second week.  (Also just because she knows I love brownies.  And frosting.  And basically most desserts in general.  Plus, she’s my mother.)

Here’s what we brought back to The Burrow as left-overs, after delivering a similar assortment to J.D.’s car trunk.

corned beef dinner and brownies
with love.

Since we got home, and I took that shot, there are already two less slices of corned beef.   Yeah, I don’t eat meat much, but when I do, I do it large.  (I didn’t eat both though, I had help.)

News on the new-old stove is that we now have it in our possession.  On the back deck.  News on the old-old stove is that the uninstall won’t be very difficult.  Just a matter of lifting it out.  Our only negative situation seems to be a plug problem.  There is no outlet.  Dan will have to put on his Handy Man hat tomorrow and do some electrical work.

(Also, at some point, a small plastic drawer-guide piece was lost, so we need to order one of those.  I can’t wait to have an under-oven storage area!)

My father will be here by one, the very hour that I usually awaken.  We’ll have coffee for him.  So he and the deputy may more clearly discuss all things electric range related.  I’ll try to get pictures.

While we were out today I spotted something I’ve heard of, but never seen before.  Click to make the view larger (it probably won’t zoom though).

bikes at the drive-up
Look carefully…….

A guy on a bike at the drive-up window.  Getting fast food To Go. He bikes but doesn’t care if he eats crappy burgers?  Alrighty then.

On our card altar today we have a SO-NOT-BEAUTIFUL illustration, but I’m leaving it without a cover-up.  Not sure why, I just am.

oracle and angel cards

“Angel Of Vision  ~

Someone is not revealing part of the story;

Trust your feelings over what others say.

The Angel Of Vision has appeared in your reading today to help you to see through a particular situation that is affecting your life at present.  There is more to the current situation than meets the eye.  The person or people involved are hiding part of the truth and are not revealing the full story.

Do not rely on what you are shown or told; rather, start to pay attention to your intuition.  What is your gut feeling regarding this present event?  Ask your Angel Of Vision to help you.

Trust your feelings and natural instincts instead of relying on what others say.  All will be revealed through the light of love and the current stream of events will turn in your favour.”

  1. Best of luck to the guys! I sense a baking spree in the near future… 😉

Um… maybe you decided that it was fun to give to give me the heebie jeebies? I guess that is rather fitting for this particular message.

I have already made tea on the new-old stove (well, ya know, I boiled water in the kettle).
    Later tonight: quesadillas!

    10:01 p.m.

  2. Yep, freaky eyes for the Angel of Vision…Yikes!

Nice visit to the folks, too. Little Irish acknowledgement there, I see. We had Japanese last night for Tater’s birthday (she’ll be gone for break on her birthday. Besides, its birthday Month around here.)

I look forward to stove updates.

You are correct, it IS birthday month!
    (As is May. And October.)

    10:03 p.m.

  3. Interesting message. And the usual weird picture.

Sounds like the parents evening was nice and you got some good food out of it. Yay!

Good luck to Dan and your dad with the stove today. And yay for (soon) having under-stove storage! I love having that.

Very much looking forward to that under-stove drawer functioning. Haven’t had one is SUCH a long time.

  4. That image is frightening. Like aliens are going to turn the ocean into steam or something. Nothing angel-like at all! i couldn’t even read the message! I wonder what the universe is trying to tell me.

Go back. Put your hand or a piece of paper up to block out the eyes part of the image. Read the message.

(It’s trying to tell you that you’re letting material not-beautifulness block your metaphysical progress.)

    10:07 p.m.

  5. He bikes so he CAN eat the crappy burgers. This is my basic exercise philosophy as well, although I do my aerobic walking/dancing thingy so I can eat chocolate. Mmmm, chocolate.

    Yay, new stove!!
