There is a huge (and creepy) astrological thing happening all over the globe. Whatever the planetary influence is right now is so freaking powerful that it’s causing turmoil in the lives of each and every person I know. (It’s big, really big. I just don’t know what exactly it is.)
There are more examples than I have space for, so I’ll only share this one. As I mentioned in my reply comment to Cornia after the last post, she sent me a phone photo, and I was having trouble getting it to my e-mail. Well, that process is not terribly uncommon, it’s kind of the reason I don’t use my small mobile cellular device to talk on. (Also, I hate talking on the phone.) We get crappy reception here in our bunker in this small valley.
Last night I sent the picture to Dan, asking him to e-mail it to me. Nothing. Today, I bothered Corina while she was working, and pestered HER to e-mail it to me. Still nothing. My mail is coming through just fine, I had loads of other business going on. Just NOT any letters with THAT shot attached. See? Odd and creepy.
It was a beautiful view too. One stark feather, simply there. In a bed of gorgeous kelp. And as she described it later when we were discussing this weirdness, “… the great thing about that super-pure white feather was that it was on the rocks and seaweed exposed by a really low tide.”
Here is what I saw when I got home from the pool. Not nearly as picturesque, but now that we’ve established that the Universe is so seriously messed up, maybe it was more meaningful than I first thought.
(There are at least five feathers. Not the best quality image, so take my word for it.)
As I walked through the gate and stood on the deck I noticed a garter snake with its head under the porch, entire body in the yard. What immediately came to mind was, “literally, a snake in my grass.” What’s funny about that now, is that I usually wouldn’t want to promote a false and reptile-negative saying or phrase. But, today it’s kind of appropriate. Not in a bad way, just in a sort of round about, not-direct type of way.
Even our card is intriguing when looked at with these kaleidoscope eyes right now.
“Tranquility ~
Make time to relax, be still, and enjoy your solitude, indulging in much-needed self-care.
This card asks you to take a break from your harried schedule. Soaking or swimming in salty water creates a magical electrical energy shift in your body. The salt draws out emotional energy and physical toxins.
Purchase sea salt from your local health-food store’s spice section, and pour lots of the salt and fragrant essential oils into your warm bathwater. Be sure to immerse your chest and heart chakra under water as you soak in the tub in order to release toxic emotions.
Burn a white candle near your bathtub. As you look at the flickering light, think about what you want. The white candlelight amplifies your thoughts and feelings, so think about your desires and not your fears.
Let the saltwater wash away any doubts that could block your manifestation. Ask the candle to illuminate your mind with faith and positive expectations. Enjoy this relaxation time, and have faith that your prayers have been heard and are being answered.”
Our pool class had to be held an hour early today. (Previously screwed up scheduling issues that could not be avoided.) As Patty and I talked this afternoon, sharing space with some swimming lessons kids, we both agreed that whatever the hell this current condition is, we are so NOT in charge. We are measly wee boats in the massively vast sea of life. May as well float along and enjoy the scenery, because we just don’t have any choice in the matter.
We might as well soak in a tub and wear this Tranquility mantle. If I had a room like this mermaid does, I would definitely be doing exactly what is suggested. I don’t. And I can’t stand baths. But I WAS in therapeutic salt water today. And I’m pretty good about grabbing some quick Quiet Time for my needy self elf. So I’ll adapt this one to fit my needs a bit, as I recommend you guys do too.
Dan has been telling me for years that I simply can NOT drive the bus of Life ALL the damn time, I need to occasionally let go of the steering wheel. Let others take over. He’s right, of course. And it seems like at this particular moment in time, none of US gets to pilot the vehicle either.
Predictions are that tomorrow, even the weather is not going to cooperate. I’ll have all three Grand Dogs by the end of the day. Hopefully we can use the new sprayer to cool down the yard and they can go out there for some freshening.

Today’s Affirmation, from Louise Hay and Cheryl Richardson:
“During Meals*
I am so grateful to have this wonderful food.
I bless this food with love.
I enjoy selecting foods that are nutritious and delicious.
Everyone I eat with enjoys the meal.
Mealtime is laughter time. Laughter is good for the digestion.
Planning healthy meals is a joy.
My body loves the way I choose the perfect foods for every meal.
I am so fortunate that I can choose healthy foods.
All of my loved ones are nourished in preparation for the day before us.
Where we live, all meals are harmonious.
Every time we gather together it is with great joy and love.
Mealtimes are always happy times, alone or with others.
My body heals and strengthens with every bite I take.”
*With only minor adjustments.
LateNight Update from Corina:
“… there will not be another time this year when we have fewer than 2 planets retrograde. Uranus may be the one that’s causing these problems (as ruler of technology AND unexpected surprises). It won’t be direct again until Dec. 13th… and then there’s still the shadow effect!”
Thank you, for sharing this with us. We just need to figure out how to deal with it all, apparently.
