In our card altar room* today we had an interesting phenomenon occur. I placed my hand on the next deck in the rotation, but then it just lifted off. The message was for me to keep moving. So I turned to the table where I sit (where the “extras” now reside), and was directed, instead, to our newest addition. Fabulous when shit like that happens, really it is.
*No. We have NOT enlarged the altar space/card area. Yet. We’ll get there! I promise we will.
So, that’s where we’ll begin. This illustration is not too bad, but I could do without the lines in her damn eyes. (Why does he DO that?! WTF Toni?)
“Goddess Of Psychic Protection ~
What you believe, you create;
No-one can harm you.
You subconsciously believe that someone is energetically trying to cause negativity in your life.
You have drawn this card today to remind you that the life force, or energy, at the heart of every living thing is, in essence, love. Each individual soul forms part of a universal soul. Let’s begin with the lecture portion here, shall we? Do NOT fall in to the trap of “this one’s not for me” okay? Because, no, not all of us are going to associate with that opening piece about the mysterious someone who is attacking us psychically. Some MIGHT, but the majority of us won’t connect with that. Move past it, but stay with me.
(Also, please change any words in particular that bother you or do not work comfortably for you. An example: know that you are always protected and forever within the light of a loving Universe.)
There is a very valid message in there, we just need to focus on the truth in the lesson. (If, in fact, the lesson is NOT about protection on a psychic level. Which, ya know, it totally may be for some people.) What you believe, you create. That sentence has now been added to our Wisdom Of The Universe sidebar over there <—– .
The thing about this statement is that it IS a Universal Truth, it’s law. And it’s why affirmations (mind darts, focused intentions, and prayers) work so well. In addition to why, when we give in to fear (or any other negative emotion), we simply bring MORE fear into our lives.
Focusing, as the definition says, on love and light, will ease whatever difficulty we are currently experiencing. I know this works, I did it yesterday! Intentionally and with excellent results. It only took a few moments, and it was terrifically successful. The goal is to put it into practice more often, regularly, and with even larger rewards.
The greater sign for us with this card, and why we were directed to it right now, is that we must shine those positive lights of love onto whatever is in front of us. Think of the most messed up situation in your life right now, apply this protection and Goddess essence (love!) to that. Add your personal affirmations to suit this circumstance, using the words Toni has supplied for us, or creating your own. (Or asking me in the comments if you feel stuck.)
Feeling unsafe can be scary, but turning that completely around, and making ourselves secure and safe in all areas, by being empowered and in control, is a massive lesson. It is such a huge step forward on our paths, in our relationships, or jobs, our homes, and just generally along all lines in our life. Here is our chance to make it happen. Here is the opportunity, handed directly to us, for incorporating this blessing into our New Dawn, New Day. Into our homes. And into our lives.
