As I stood in front of our card altar today, the mood was NOT good. My weight is pissing me off. (Healthy, strong, old, blah blah blah, I KNOW all of this, thankyouverymuch! Don’t even go there, people, don’t even.) So I did some deep breathing and asked for help. What I “heard” was that I needed to turn completely around in the room, and look back behind me. We were going with our newest deck.
This message was so meaningful to me, and it really improved my attitude. I’m still not thinner, but I feel more focused. Take a look at this one, it’s very good. Like, VERY very good.
“Goddess Of Knowledge ~
Start to apply what you already know;
Trust your intuition.
Some two thousand five hundred years ago, Plato, the great ancient philosopher wrote, ‘all learning is simply recollection.’
While study is important, remember also that all you truly need to know is inside of you.
The Goddess Of Knowledge has appeared in your reading today to encourage you to start to put all the wonderful knowledge that you already possess to good use. You do not need to do further courses and obtain further certificates or accreditation in order to be effective in the work you would like to do. Simply start doing it now. Start to apply what you already know and trust your intuition.
Focus on love and light and ask the universe to guide you. When your intentions and motivations are driven by love, the universe and the Goddess Of Knowledge will help you act in the best interests of all concerned.”
This switched my brain from obsessing about something that is, obviously, beyond my control, back to what is truly important. I hope it helps all of you as much as it helped me.
We need to return back to yesterday’s card. For three reasons. Be forewarned, there will be pictures and renditions of snakes to illustrate my points. Zoom past those if you really think you need to.
In the comments section Karen Buys reminded me that there is a gorgeous new post card on my bulletin board right now. She sent it to me when she hired me for a special project.
All the supplies are ready to roll. I just need to finish up the miniature I’m working on right now, and then the chart highlighting will begin.
Once my memory is sparked it just keeps on with the theme. Ally and her Beloved went on a ride (on their motorbikes) recently. They were visited by a lovely messenger, so the Mrs photographed it.
And lastly, my son commented, in the way he does, with plenty of perfect facts, and delightfully gentle humour.
“Snakes, like all reptiles, are not slimy. They are completely dry. *Some* amphibians, notably certain frogs and most salamanders and newts, *are* “slimy,” in that they exude a thin layer of mucus across their skin, to help hold moisture. Snakes, however, are covered in a waterproof layer of scales, which are completely dry to the touch. Well. Unless it’s an aquatic snake, in which case, you know, it’s in the water and kind of HAS to be wet because of it.
Moreover, the majority of snakes are not venomous. Of the roughly 2900 species of snakes worldwide, only some 725 are venomous, and of those, only about 250 species are capable of delivering sufficiently potent venom to endanger or kill a human with a single bite.
Sorry, but living with the world’s ultimate snake proponent has rendered me incapable of NOT pointing out snake facts, especially to counter the number-one misbelief about snakes, to wit, ‘they’re slimy.’”
So. The thing is, I understand not caring for a certain animal (we all know how much I detest and despise cats), and I believe that we are shown certain things at specific times so we can learn. We can’t go forward if we don’t have all the information. Reminders and omens and signs cross our paths all the time, every once in a while they literally GO RIGHT ACROSS our very path in a physical sense.
Paying attention is how we, as my title implied, grow and change. This goes along with our card today as well, remembering and knowing. We must live boldly, not allowing fear to cripple or side-track us. Knowledge is power. Both the infused inner type, as well as the outer, learned kind. All we have to do to access it all is to trust our intuition.
My Maximum Grand Dog and I went on an errand this afternoon. He was given another treat by the parking garage lady. But when we got home, he headed straight back under the bed. Only coming out when Dan was dressing for work and having some highly scent-heavy left-over chicken.
We spotted this rare sight though, on our way downtown. And about five Nevadas.
