Levels of Active.

Remember my mention of being “extra vigorous” from yesterday?  Well that was slightly prophetic, as it turned out.  Who is NOT surprised?  Show of hands?  Yeah, me neither.

When there is eXtreme weather, like thunder and lightning, they close the pool.  Or set us on a delay.  Here’s what was happening, right before I left The Burrow.  In my swim suit.  With my water weenie exercise noodle in my hand.  Tote bag on my shoulder.  And the Mermaid water perched against my hip.

That would be hail.  Mounds and mounds, waves and waves, of pounding hail.  Here, another view (below).  Once I sprinted to the Wee Walnut and got safely inside.

Yes, that blue car is parked the wrong way.  I did it.  It’s Emma’s, and I’ve been driving it while mine was side-lined with those battery issues (and before that, the brake issues).  That’s just where I left it.  I’ll move it tomorrow when I play musical chairs with the front yard parking lot because we need a spot for Empress to leave Hanny’s car.  It’s complicated.  Let’s just say that it hailed.  The cars got covered but not damaged.

Each ice ball shower this afternoon was proceeded by thunder (yes, there was more than one today).   I failed to take note of that (instead I was busy taking pictures).  Even though I saw LOTS more hills of hail on my way.  We had been in the water about half a damn second when Life Guard Kathy came out, blew her whistle authoritatively, and shouted us all out of the pool.  Dammit!

The rule is that once it’s heard, we have fifteen minutes.  If nothing further happens, we can go back to what we were doing.  If it’s SEEN, that’s 45 minutes wait.  Hardly worth it in an hour-long class.  Fortunately Abel only HEARD it, and nothing else followed.  During that delay, I walked the deck.  And I got a few others to join me.  Several folks hesitated even changing their clothes (they don’t pre-dress like I do, apparently), thinking we’d not be allowed back in.  I think it was my sheer force of will that did it.  I had COMPLETE faith.  It was Wednesday.  I shorted my fluffy self elf out of that focused movement yesterday.  We HAD to be in the pool today!

We were.  I counted down and annoyingly poked my head through the office door every three to four minutes.  At thirteen and seconds I started saying we could get back in.  Then I announced it to the Life Saving Team.  By the time everyone consulted the clock, it WAS time.  So.  We got in and I started us off, saying that we would have to work “extra vigorously” to catch up.  Only my pals Patty and Janna played along.  But that was good enough.

Our card du jour is ideal, and I was so pleased to see it.

“The Sun Dancers  ~

joyful activity, celebration of life, abundance.

As your Ally, the Sun Dancers celebrate you now and remind you of the laws of success and praise.  Anything you place your attention on will manifest an experience, so the laws are always perfect.  Expect the best and praise it in advance.  This unleashes the magic of mystical magnetic energy, drawing circumstances to you to create the reality you envision.

Give thanks in advance for the grace and goodwill of the Divine.  Be willing to dance the victory dance as if your greatest dreams are realized, and watch how easily things begin to fall into place.  Stay positive and leave the timing up to the Divine.  All things are possible now.  Dance the joy of being, and celebrate your life and abundance today!”

This came up direct and that’s how I’m leaving it.  The message is lovely and I’m very much looking forward to focusing on something super positive right now.  Finally.

Also, I adore that phrase, “…the magic of mystical magnetic energy…”

Continuing with all of this delightful postive-ness, who would like to see what was awaiting me upon my arrival home tonight?

Not a great view, and there’s a distracting shadow in there, (my camera battery was dying and we only had a very brief moment before it was gone entirely) but hey, better than no Max at all!!!

Today’s Deck:

Wisdom Of The Hidden Realms Oracle Cards by Colette Baron-Reid

Yesterday’s calorie count: 1327

Not as good as the day before, but not too bad.  How long I’ll keep this up is anybody’s guess.  For now though, it’s working.
