You want to hear about the pool don’t you? But first, prepare yourselves. I have incurred a brand spanking new painful and stupid injury. I bruised my left big toe on the cement deck as I was getting into the water. No, I did not delay, nor even mention it (except to Dan, he needs to hear ALL of my complaints). I soldiered on through the class. (If it gets much blacker though, I’ll take a picture of it for you.)
As it turns out, I WAS missed. Mostly. There was one, maybe two, who had asked about me because they were kinda glad I hadn’t come back. Which later, Daniel and I laughed loudly about. My pal, Jana* and her aid were there to hug me the second they heard my voice. It was pretty damn awesome to feel so wanted. (Even if some people didn’t want me, that was just damn funny.)
*I have no idea how far back it is in the archives (History Quilt Secretary Robin, any thoughts?) that I mention Jana and Patty. Suffice it to say that she is an adult with some form of mental delay and minor physical disabilities, and I absolutely positively adore her.
My camera flash did a weird thing to the blue color on this concrete, so I went without. Not as clear a shot, but better than being distracted by the overly-not-true-to-life-pool-deck-paint-shade. There’s our brought-from-home -weenies and the Mermaid Water! (No, we don’t know anyone in this photo, I’ve included it here merely because I wanted to share the ambiance. Although, I wish you could smell it too. Even though the chlorine level is nearly nothing, there is that distinctive, and to me, uber clean aroma that I can’t get enough of.)
One other good news item to report (sadly no, it is not to say that my digestion is any better, because it is not), and then we’ll get to our card (which I can’t wait for because it is super interesting and I am fascinated by the little icon or symbol or petroglyph or whatever it is that’s on this illustration, plus, it adds down to a Three, which is such a nice number, not as great as Five, but right up there on the list). We had time for a few errands this afternoon (before we had to load up our towels and suits), one of them was the bank.
I often go to my local branch and bug the guys who work there conduct my measly sad highly important business transactions. For some reason this particular branch is full of strapping young dudes who are inordinately helpful and seem to find me hugely entertaining (they probably have crazy old aunties or something). There was a confusion on my last statement (yes, I still receive statements on PAPER via the MAIL).
Clarification from Head Dude was joyous though. Not any service charges at all, but waived fees! It was only thirty bucks, but hey, that’s a lot of money to me. Going to the plus is WAY better than having it minused.
So, a delightfully pleasant day, on many levels. (Other than the stomach situation, but hell, it’s been two weeks, what difference will another 24 hours make? None, that’s how much.)
As I said yesterday, returning to my class qualified as pretty significant in my life, so we went with the Special Occasion deck. This one is the second to last in the category of Fire, highly appropriate for me due to the fact that the salty water is VERY warm and my face gets VERY red after an hour of sloshing around out there.
“Lizard ~ Daydreaming.
Deja vu occurs when we consciously ‘bump into’ vital details or aspects of daydreams had on earlier occasions.
When we daydream, we energetically leave the present in order to astrally ‘check out’ our potential future. While physically doing something routine, we find our conscious mind wandering, leaving the physical confines of our body on an astral level and exploring future aspects of our life. When our conscious mind realises that we have been daydreaming, we snap back and instantly forget what we have just experienced and the body of the daydream is expelled from our mind forever.
Daydreams are Spirit’s way of allowing us to consciously explore our future while remaining bodily alert.
About a week or two after having your daydream, you will suddenly get the uncanny feeling that you have done this all before. Even though the conscious mind disagrees, the subconscious mind remembers visiting this time and space. It remembers that you placed yourself in this setting – astrally – weeks before, with the subliminal intention of remembering the fact on your bodily arrival.
The physical sensation is your wakeup call, meant to trigger a realisation that something in or around you offers a window of opportunity, that once acknowledged will initiate a great change of fortune in your life.
What you visualise in your daydreams, Spirit offers the map to find, and all that is left to do is follow the directions with intent and resolve.
If Lizard, a creature who spends her days basking in the sun and daydreaming her future into being, has visioned her way into your cards today, you are being advised to take serious note of what your dreams are trying to tell you. Keep a journal. Lizard wants you to look at your daydreams as viable messages from Spirit and veritable roadmaps to possibilities that would normally remain faceless for eternity.
Spirit gifted you with this life as a chance to make your mark on the world. Don’t wast a single chance by choosing to ignore the unrealised but fertile potentials your dreams may be gathering and shaping for your future.”
The dreaming stories of the Aboriginal peoples are some of my absolute favorites. As you will hopefully recall, my own grandmother dreamed me before I got here. That phenomenon says many things to me, as it did to her. For one, it validated the knowledge and history of the ancients. In another perspective, it validates what we know now about our life blueprints, those plans we all agree upon with our loved ones before we come here in our current embodiment. This explanation of deja vu is not one I’m familiar with. But it rings true within the framework of these customs.
Basking is something nearly all cold-blooded creatures do. More times than I can count family members of mine have found me stretched out someplace taking up space in a patch of sunshine. Apparently I’ve been doing it nearly my whole life. No doubt this is one of the reasons I relate so well to reptiles, both big and small.
When I saw that Lizard was our messenger today, the day I returned to the salty water heated naturally by the sun, I was even more sure that our lives here ARE lessons, and that we ARE intended to share them, with a giving heart and an open mind, as much as we possibly can before we step off this physical path and head joyously Home.
