In Movement News: I doubled up. My walk* was brief (up into the neighborhood, as opposed to along the long Route, because we got a late start on our erranding before Dan left for work) so I added in the Kimberly Fowler DVD when I got home. What I’ve noticed, even though we’ve established that I DON’T have more energy, is that I DO have significantly more stamina. So I utilized that this afternoon. (Additionally, it appears as though I’ve lost two pounds.)
*Weather was slightly dampish. Not actively raining, but sprinkling intermittently. No more gale force winds though. And no hail in my face this time.
I also went out to take a few pictures for you guys. No, Robin, I did NOT remember to get another shot of those mystery flowers. I’ve written my forgetful self elf a new note though. Fingers crossed that I don’t lose it. Speaking of notes, look what I saw next to a curb, near the Smells Bad House(s).
Someone else has to start hir day with the library too! Yipee, I love knowing that there’s a fellow Super Reader Who Is Slightly Poor living near me.
Now this one below is (also) slightly difficult to see, but that’s how it goes. I was simply thrilled that I remembered at all.
Nice recovery huh? She IS sort of trussed back together a bit in the center, and there IS a sad gap in her middle. But hey, we’re just glad she’s not dead.
In news of The Burrow, we WILL be having long-term-stay house guests as of next Moonday. Empress is still in a training phase with her newly minted grooming lessons so her income is quite unstable right now. Timing-wise this is both good and bad. Good, she has us to fall back on, bad in that she needs a bit more concrete info to share with the banking lady.
I picked up some boxes for her today in preparation for the crating up of her belongings over at her place. The guest room got a nice new sale rug (doesn’t QUITE cover the part where Max went digging for freedom, but it DOES freshen up the space and mostly matches the walls) so the only thing that still needs doing in there is for me to get my walking/biking garments off the bed.
Yesterday we discussed where the snake cage will go, when the boys will need to get the truck over there, and her friend Ryon’s upcoming cage fight. Lots on her plate at the moment. As always, I’m glad she has Mr Patience by her side.
Or in a box. Whatever. (Yeah, he’s kinda sitting on that plastic tub with the lentil chili leftovers I was sending home with them, but really, no one even noticed it much. Shhh, we did NOT notice!)
Remember how the Animal cards jumped out at me the other day? Well, my own back-up/secondary Tarot deck did something similar when I went in there earlier, a couple just shot off of the stack and pitched themselves from the altar. I think it’s time to make some adjustments in that room too. The cards (and the Universe) are trying to tell me something. Our draw doubled. And they were sideways.
Ace of Cups ~ 1
The Sun ~ 19
We know that Cups are emotions, all things heart and feeling related. I call this one “your heart runneth over” when it comes up in a reading. It’s all about overflowing love and support, the very best in manifestations of the heart. Also, it’s a One, so that’s newness all over the damn place.
With a tweak it feels very unstable right now. Like a loss (overturned cup, tears running out) with a gift, all at the same time. We lose something but we gain something else. (Which then makes me think of that Christians saying about their god opening a window when s/he closes a door.)
Even though NONE of us liked that Rainbow King illustration from yesterday look at what this one has in the very bottom corners: lotuses. Extremely loving omens of full-on caring and gentle affection. So sweet, and entirely welcome.
The Sun, as I’ve said before, is my own son’s significator when we’re doing Home readings (yes, we actually do that). It generally means wonderfully fulfilling and joyous tidings, all the live-long day. A beautifully prosperous sign and a tremendously positive omen.
The number adds down to One, just like our Ace. This tells me that we ARE heading into a new and exciting cycle or branch of our path. Starting off as the Earth awakens into Spring is just hugely symbolic as well. Our tweak is going to be the letting go, although it will be less about the pain and more about the release of what has gone past it’s need.
Overall I’d say that the message is more about beginnings. So DO watch for those blooms and blossoms like we talked about yesterday. Stay AWARE of what’s in front of us. Ride to our heart’s content and appreciate all the rebirth we see around us. When it comes time to let go, we can be thankful for having these blessings, and feel unburdened at the release of that which we no longer need to carry.
