I am a stay at home mom in an empty nest. I am also a wife, a witch, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend. I am a professional Tarot card reader (see the Testimonials tab for references) with nearly 25 years experience. I quilt too, but not very well (I’m still learning that one). I teach counted cross stitch and needlepoint, creating special order samplers on a commission basis (see tab marked Services for pricing). Oh yeah, and I have many tattoos. Many. (Look at the new tab marked BackStory for some photos and high points.)

Why Are There So Many People Named Betty Here?
Once upon a time there was a community, partly built in homage to the ultimate Betty: Betty White.
Betty-isms
Just in case you'd like to play along, after reading about why there are so damn many folks named Betty here all the time.
FGBVs ~ Fairy God Betty Vibes / Feel Good Betty Vibes, to be applied liberally for all instances of need, be it self or others, glitter may be added when necessary, or even when not, like if you just want to feel pretty, or particularly shiny.
CowBetty up ~ To put your Betty hat on, be all grown-up and maybe kick some ass.
Bacon, Sex, and ... ~ The Trifecta of All Things Betty, also what a Betty needs to get through a day, the Third Option is usually The Old Spice Guy (or the chosen partner of your dreams), often, on a horse.
WEBS ~ What Every Betty Said, used in the comments section if everyBetty has arrived before you and served up a healthy portion of Betty Wisdom.
A Betty Motto: Everyone wants to be you or do you.
.... to be continued, as I remember more and have time to add them...The Wisdom Of The Universe via JulieLand
(Thanks to Judy Long for the orginal interpretative work. Plus random additions from all manner of beloved contributors.)

I’d love to talk to you about Tarot cards. They fascinate me. I’ve got my own set as a start. They’re completely…untraditional. And I try to keep my knives away from them.
I will e-mail you. I love discussing cards, and the non-traditional ones are just as valuable as the old fashioned.
Good idea to keep the knives and cards apart. Unless you are doing a stage show.
Superfantastic!
Yay! Great to hear from you. Did you see how I almost forgot you? Had to make it a belated birthday message. *sigh*
I try to be really together, but it’s hysterically hopeless at times.
Julie, you will find this hilarious. I am on Dave’s computer. This is because I just turned my computer OFF, so that I wouldn’t go on it anymore and both of us I could relax for the evening. (The computer’s name is Glinda, by the way, because she is a Good Witch who can do anything and she is my friend.) I have been on Glinda since 7 this morning because I am trying to run my own business, which means working all the goddamned time. But then I got your wonderful Christmas letter, and I HAD to somehow tell you how clever it was, but WITHOUT breaking my resolve to fire Glinda back up. I had never been on your website and hadn’t subscribed to your blog yet, but now I have done the first and will rush to do the second just as soon as I allow myself to turn Glinda back on tomorrow morning. Your website is AMAZING. You are brilliant, Julie. I am in awe of you as a writer, communicator, and now, clearly, internet jockey. Talk to you soon!
Love,
Heather
Lol! Yay for Dave’s sharing and for Glinda, I adore that you named your computer that.
So glad you found me. Full credit for this year’s edition of the Hanavan-Olsen Family End-of-the-Year Round-up goes to Hanna. She did a wonderful job, although we all did contribute our own wee bit.
Thanks so much for the kind words. Funny, I was JUST telling someone (who is a subscriber here) about you and audio books.
Looking forward to seeing what you have to say about my ecclectic content.
Posted a post about you and your Devour sticker on our blog: http://devoureugene.blogspot.com/2011/03/bumper-sticker-again-sorta.html
Great to see you again and thank you for all the support on here!
Thanks for stopping by! On my way to see your blog now, and hey it’s my pleasure… you and Mom can feed us anytime.
How many tattoos?
IF you had read this blog (as you were instructed) you’d have seen the post that details them all. (Here’s a hint, it starts somewhere around August last year, that should be easy enough for you to remember.)
Hi, Lovey! I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award: http://caridwen.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/im-an-award-winning-blogger-and-no-one-is-more-surprised-than-i-am/ Thanks for putting out such a great read!
