Reality, Restrictions, and Restorative Hope.

This is turning out to be my week of kid sharing.  Ready for the new hat updates?  Of course you are.  Now, take a moment, stroll back into your memories, to another time (like over a year ago), when my son ordered headwear from Down Under.

The company (found HERE) is well-known (and well-reviewed, it turns out).  This is the second purchase J.D. has made from them.  And he couldn’t be happier.

Since I can’t do a slideshow with an additional photo by itself within the body of the post, today’s daily draw will be words only, no picture.  Making this particular blog offering a typically incongruous blend of what it’s like in my actual life.

Enjoy the (above) unboxing and bashing and modeling, provided so generously by my First Born Child; he had to send these phone shots more than once (my fault, not his).  Thanks again, Jade!

On with the rest of our business, it was a regular Tuesday afternoon for me and Dan (for him, it’s actually Sunday night), which means we often arrive back home on the late-ish side (and I often feel slightly frazzled).  Thankfully, the Spirit World knows when we need assistance.  This message couldn’t have come at a better time.

(If you really need to see an illustration for this one, go HERE and just gaze upon the cover of the guidebook.  It’s better than the designated card anyway.)

“Peace Of Mind  ~

Make peacefulness your highest priority.  Commit to taking steps to ensure peace of mind, and take those steps without delay.

Peace of mind isn’t something you have to earn or acquire, since your true self is already peaceful.  Instead, it requires being like a sculptor with a block of marble, who works with this material until the inner masterpiece is revealed.  If you’ll make peace of mind your main focus, you will inevitably feel a great sense of relief.

Steps that create peace of mind include being honest with yourself, living according to your inner guidance, being helpful and kind to others, practicing meditation or yoga, eating only healthful foods, avoiding toxins, maintaining healthy sleep habits, avoiding negative people and media, surrendering your problems to the Universe, communing with nature, simplifying your life, and saying no when you need to.

Affirmation:

My mind is now peaceful, and I know that all of my needs are automatically taken care of.  I can rest easily, assured that all is well.”

Today’s Deck:

Healing With The Fairies Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Today’s Helpful Reminder:

Daniel and I have never celebrated (nor even acknowledged) that faux holiday held on February 14th, but I would be remiss if I allowed a potential gift-giving occasion to pass by without gently remarking upon what a delightful present a personalized Tarot Card Reading makes.

Today’s Mileage:

we rode downtown and back, my wee device reporting that our distance was 9.705 miles, at a rate of 9.1 MPH for a total of one hour, 3 minutes, and 43 seconds of pedaling.

FLP Report:

Ohio, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan (possibly Minnesota?), and Deleware.

  2. That is an awesome hat! And bravo to JD for the modeling. He looks stellar. Great card message too. Avoiding negative media is pretty important. I wonder if that is why the conservative wing seems to be so out of balance.

    • That makes sense. If all you watch is alarmist news and read alarmist blogs, then of course you’ll be in a panic to fix it. And those same alarmist media sources generally give only a handful of things that Must Be Done to Avoid Downfall.

      both of you!

  3. The hat is terrific and looks great on JD. He is such a snappy dresser!

That’s a good card, too. I generally avoid the news, only occasionally skimming the headlines online to keep up to date, kinda. I’m going to work harder on being peaceful.

Being all peaceful and shit is MUCH more difficult than it looks.

  4. Great hat!
Working on being peaceful here. Or at least less controlling, which makes for peace. : ) In fact I wrote a blog on the subject yesterday but it won’t post for a week or so.

    We look forward to it!
